Its just his sons that make the drama you speak of. He sold his soul to the NFL, so was an absent father, so he raised some rich kids without a father to really guide them. That's how I see it.

Paging Draftniks: Bills sign LSU CB Zy Alexander (and some other dudes)
MJS replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Levi Wallace was picked on a lot because Tre White was a lock down corner that offenses avoided. That is always a really tough position to be in because you get game planned against heavily and heavily targeted. So, that is part of it. That will be the case for Tre White this year because offenses avoid Benford now. Wallace was definately a replaceable player. He did sign a decent contract to go start for Seattle, though. I think the league viewed him as a low level starter. Now he is viewed as a depth player. A lot of players who leave Buffalo seem to play worse wherever they go, with a few exceptions. -
"Why don't we have any Year 1 Superstars with our highest pick being 33rd overall?!"

I think the playoff game was 425 like 250. We will lose week one. More likely than not we will be blown out. The forum will explode in negativity. By the time we play KC we will be 6-1 and people like yourself will be back on the Super Bowl bandwagon. They will be saying things like week 1 doesn’t matter. Heck, we probably even beat the Chiefs to go 7-1. Then the forum will be erupting in Super Bowl projections. This team has regressed or is equal in weakness in multiple positions since last year. The defense will be a catastrophic failure when it matters most. Why wouldn’t they be? It’s the same players outside of some hope a bunch of rookies and injured players change the narrative. I imagine at some point injuries will be blamed because that what we do. Same story coming as the one you already know. Feel free to bump this post as much as you want next year. Just make sure not to forget the bump when the seasons over.

Why not let him kick off in the last preseason game and give Bass a couple more weeks? -

Because of injury. That is when depth players generally play. Cole Bishop was injured and then got behind the curve. But he was actually a good tackler and not as bad as everyone made him out to be. You don't want him to start, but he gives you a decent baseline if he is forced into action. -

I think you already know the answer to your final question here .... -
I'm sure a potential Samuel trade would just be something like Samuel and a 7th for a 6th, maybe even in 2027. It would be all about unloading the contract to make room. As we're currently Dead Last in the league with 1.7m for the 51. But we need to come up with a fair amount more to go from 51 to 53, pay the Practice Squad, and have some room for In Season Spending. But there's also some restructuring we can do to do that. You don't have to offer Special Teams as a 4th or a 5th WR, but it definitely doesn't help your chances if you're on the bubble if you don't. And that's where Moore kind of is. I'm getting an OJ Howard vibe from him. Down to the dollar amount in guarantees (2.5m isn't nothing, but it's not uncuttable), the lack of Teams, and a young guy impressing underneath him while he isn't. Right now, I just as easily see him being cut as I do him sticking. If they have an actual interest in Davis and it's not just doing due diligence or helping someone they like out to manufacture interest - I could easily see a scenario where down the stretch our WR core was Shakir, Palmer, Coleman, Davis, and Shavers.

Dammit, the symbol of British if-it's-not-leaking-it-must-be-empty engineering has gone the way of Bud Light.

Which one of you tried to dust Andy Reid?

I should turn myself in, huh? -
I hadn't considered that Samuel has any trade value, but if the Bills are just looking to offload an oft-injured WR and his cap and open up space on the 53 for more versatile (in terms of STs and true boundary traits), available prospect in Shavers, maybe a mid-to-late round pick and a late round swap gets it done? Shavers has done nothing but flash in his limited opportunities over the years. He has progressed. He has boundary traits we lack outside Coleman and Palmer. Moore I'm completely MEH about. Seems like a guy who could produce from time to time with Josh Allen. So maybe as a 4 or 5 he makes it, but don't 4s and 5s generally need to offer some teams ability? I guess not always.

That was actually at Glacier. About 6am on the way up to Avalanche Lake. I was being really quiet to try and spot bears in those meadows; didn't think I'd damn near trip over one. Thank you for saying more than half Trying to hit a charging grizz in that square inch between the eyes with a large caliber pistol strikes me as inappropriately funny. You've got a waaaay better chance of putting that big cloud of pepper on the ground right in front of it, imo.

Why is everyone assuming it's one or the other? First off, Gabe Davis won't be ready for Week 1. If signed, he'd be put on a list until he's ready. And by the time you're ready to activate him, who knows whether all of our WR's will still be healthy and active. Also, the only 3 WR's on this roster that you can say with 100% certainty are safe are Khalil Shakir, Josh Palmer, and Keon Coleman. Elijah Moore reportedly has not been impressing. Curtis Samuel has both Beane (who mentioned every WR on the roster *but* Samuel on McAfee) and McDermott (who said he needs to see urgency from Samuel down the stretch to see if and how he'll fit in the Offense) publicly not showing a lot of confidence in. Teams are openly in the vet WR Trade Market right now and if they can get out from his contract, I bet they would. At this point, it seems unlikely that both will stick on the roster and not completely out of the realm of possibility that neither do. I'd even go so far as to say I feel more confident that Shavers will stick than I do both of Moore and Samuel sticking together. And on top of all of that, 5 is what we carried last year. But we've carried 6 under the Beane and McDermott era more times than we've kept 5. So it's even possible to have Moore, Samuel, and Shavers sticking and Davis on PUP. All of this to say, you can easily come up with ways that both Shavers and Davis are here. And I find that to be a more likely scenario than only one or the other being here, if Davis were to be signed.

Another one - Trey Hendrickson asks for a trade from Cincy
Richard Noggin replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Am I the last person in the expansive sphere of NFL fans to learn that Philly is $30 million UNDER the cap? Is their entire defense on rookie deals? Because that entire offense is STACKED with $igned $tuds. (Admittedly, I have not yet done the rigorous online research of seeing an itemized accounting of how such a sham is in fact possible. I'm still in shock.) - Today

Bills hosting Gabe Davis for visit
Royale with Cheese replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Shavers is the better athlete. Gabe loses focus too many times. Multiple times he was not on the same page as Allen, it was talked about on WGR today. We all know he has consistent bad drops. He obviously isn’t doing enough to get open because he had multiple zero burgers in the second half of 2023. Let go after one year in Jax. Why are we to assume Davis is a better option than Shavers? Davis’s career is trending down right now. -
