It really feels like some of youse wanna get back into a new coach/GM every 2-3 years cycle. No thanks.

So, here's a cool story. TreVeyon Henderson grew up in the city I live in. Said he was the fastest kid I've ever seen on the field in my almost 50 years of existence. He had a solid career at Ohio St. Now, his first touch in the NFL goes for a TD. Amazing moment for the small city kid from here in Hopewell, VA.

If I am a team looking for a long term solution at QB and Sanders is in my locker room, I likely sit him this year. Not because he sucks or whatever, but I do think if Sanders is going to be a franchise QB he needs some time to bake. I'm watching the game now. He certainly made some nice throws. And he is "athletic enough" for today's NFL. But I think he needs to get stronger to play in the league. He really seems to have to heave it into some of those throws. He also sucks at throwing on the run. I'm not QB guru but I think both have to do with not understand good footwork and having a strong base. All that will be much harder to correct in the regular season.

Smelling Salts NOT Banned by NFL - (updated scents!)
HOUSE replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall
So now I read today that the sale of smelling salt has doubled in the last 10 days, since its now "illegal "in the NFL.. I will never understand people -
Good point. I would love for Josh have weapons like that instead of our mid WR corp

Forget the critics. A fair number of them would have promoted Daboll.

I'm rewatching now and I am only on drive two but his first pass was a bit high in tight coverage but off the hands of his WR. His second pass was completed and the WR ran his route a half yard short of the first down, and they punted. The WR has to know where the pylon is on 3rd down. His second drive he converted he moved the chains with two first downs. One with a pass and one with his legs. To be fair his duck on 2nd and 12 wasn't good and stalled an otherwise good drive. I'm not convinced he's a starter but those drives weren't exactly how you described IMHO.

Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Sergei Prokofiev, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, Igor Stravinsky, Modest Mussorgsky are some of the more well known ones.

I don’t know if any of that is true. First of all, Lynch isn’t really Shanny’s boss if I recall correctly. Shanny recommended Lynch and they both came on together in SF. I think they are much like Beane and McD. They all hitched their wagon to the Brock Purdy experience. They missed the playoffs last year. If they are terrible and missed terribly on paying Purdy, I think they are all on the hotseat. They already have that whiff on Trey Lance on their resume.

If I am a Browns fan I stay home all season and watch Gun Smoke

I thought Sanders looked good. He was firing darts out there and his 2nd TD was a very nice throws. If I were a Browns fan I would want him to start over Flacco and Pickett -
McDermott got outcoached by Mike McDaniel in a playoff game at home where the other team was starting a third-string QB. McDermott got outcoached by Doug Marrone and Bill O'Brien in playoff games as well. It's not like he only struggles against all-time greats. At the end of the day, he is a defensive-minded coach who has lost to the same team in the postseason four out of five years because his defense that is tailored exactly how he wants it is giving up over five TDs a game against that team. I don't know how much more we need to see here.

Rich Kotite wants one more chance at redemption. Matt Patricia would love to get another chance. Ray Handley is tired of retirement, doing nothing but sitting around his living room watching football on TV. Kay Stephenson has a lot more experience than his 1st coaching stint with the Bills. Hue Jackson wants just one more chance.

Would never work. Allen with a Diggs ends up being drama. This offense is not focused on one person. Meaning the Me, Me, Me mindset does not work. Allen is a star but is not a prima donna, if he was I bet he would have been traded already.

Does Emerson, Lake & Palmer count? Jazzed up this Copland classic pretty good too:

The Reids & McVays will outcoach just about any other coach in the league. You just don't pick up the phone & get a HOF coach. KC got extremely lucky that Reid was available after Philly fired him.

Roscoe. The problem is he already has a job in SF, and not going anywhere. Lynch would never be dumb enough to fire him. Most good teams wouldn’t, hint hint.

I sometimes listen to Classical. When I was living near San Francisco, I would drive to Grizzly Peak, put on the classical station KDFC, and just get lost for a couple of hours. We have WNED in Buffalo, and I have Sirius XM, but I go back to listening to KDFC online. It's just a great classical music station.
