  1. Past hour
  2. Great post. I worked with a young lady and kind of watched her grow up, interning in summers (her dad was the majority stockholder), then fresh out of college, then getting married and finally expecting. We had two boys so the girl stuff was new to me. I felt very invested when she was expecting. I was also somewhat honored when she came to me to ask about what it’s like to become a parent. She stunned me at first and I just mumbled some words. I mulled it over for a while, and I still remember walking over to her office to share my share my experience. I said the lows will be low and very difficult, but the highs are higher than I could have imagined. To each their own, because we are not one size fits all.
  3. That kind of like an airhead assumption?
  4. Excellent point. Note the following: In 21 postseason games, his teams are 17-4 against top competition. He has 46 passing TDs, 10 INTs, 8.2 YPA, 67.7% completion rate, a 105.4 rating and 7 rushing TDs. No other QB compares. Plus he didn't just win 3 SBs; he has 3 SB MVPs. And this past season, his postseason QB rating was 101.4.
  5. Looking for a two from him. Whos the One ?
  6. Oh, I absolutely nailed it and you? Well... no. Another miss.
  7. It doesn’t have to but it does. The #1 priority for any NFL team to win in this era is an elite qb. This isn’t even a debatable fact. A team with an elite qb and mediocre teammates would have a better chance than a team with a mediocre qb and superior teammates. It’s the most important position on the team so it would count for a lot if the same qb keeps leading his team past the other qbs to get to the superbowl.
  8. The 4 elite QBs all being in the AFC is madness, it makes the Chiefs 3 titles even more impressive. Just getting one title outta the AFC field during this era will be looked back upon as monumental.
  9. Do the right thing? From this regime? Hah - what a joke
  10. If you want to believe you nailed it then enjoy the imaginary victory lap.
  11. I don't feel like many people, if any, are putting high expectations on Keon. I think everyone would be fine if he turns out to be a solid #2 target. Not for even a second did I expect him to be a true #1. Now if he can't reach #2 level, I suppose I would be let down a little.
  12. I was watching The Five and Kennedy was saying that Israel has their own bunker busters, but not the magnitude of the US version.
  13. AND he still has Josh Allen tossing him the ball 😋
  14. Interesting comment for a Happy Father’s Day thread but I felt the same way. Until I didn’t. And now I wish I hadn’t waited until 44 to have our first. But holy ***** - the exhaustion is real, the constant anxiety is real, the loss of some hobbies is real. And it’s ALL worth it when my 17 month old came up and said “Da!!” (That’s what he calls me) and gave me a hug yesterday. Number 2 on the way, due in November. I’ll be 45 and I regularly think of how old I’ll be when they hit certain milestones - I’ll be the guy at high school graduation people assume is the grandpa. But I’ve come to grips with it. That said, it’s 100% not for everyone. And the biggest thing I’ve taken away so far is my undying respect for single parents. Doing this alone would have likely killed me.
  15. Andy Reid got fired because he got pegged as the guy who couldn't win the big one He had absolutely insane rosters for years which were absolutely good enough to win the super bowls and he didn't which is why he was fired Players and coaches grow... Andy Reid is not foolproof.. I have seen him get out coached with my own eyes before
  16. "It's a terrible thing. He's a terrible governor." MAGA rejoices. What a president.
  17. Replace McDermott with Reid and Bills have 2 superbowls
  18. It's tough because general managers have to balance what you already are, versus what you can or will become the growth of all players is not the same... And some come into the league with their body and their skills closer to maxed.. which is good for instant production, but typically plateaus Then you get players, who have raw unrefined skills with talent ... And it might take those players till year 2-3 to physically catch up with the game but they have more potential Then obviously the players there's the few players who come in with the correct body, the right type of skills and athleticism with a high level of production.. and those guys don't get out of the top 5-10
  19. OK did a Google search and the best I could come up with was "Sounds like the meat of the AB to Buffalo trade was a 1st round pick swap, Steelers move from 20 to 9, and a late round pick or conditional middle round pick sprinkled in. That's not great return." Nothing concrete but that deal is far more palatable than giving up the 9th overall alone. The difference in value is equivalent to about the 11th pick of the 2nd round. You want to use another word than "spent"? Fine. Doesn't change the fact that he did little after 2019. You saw how he was with Brady and the Patriots, right? So the answer is "no."
