JA - 1st player in NFL history with multiple 3 pass/3 run games
BADOLBILZ replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Almost no turnovers and almost no injuries. Very discouraging they haven't done more. It really underscores the inability to win individual matchups at the receiver position. Watching them labor offensively at home again in that Baltimore divisional game after all those high scoring games earlier in the year was exasperating. -

Game week thread - Bills at Texans TNF

Fell behind 20-3 to them last season (2024) and ended up losing 23-20. We did a good job blocking the edge guys, but Josh was clearly off and needs to be a lot better. I think we need to come out attacking and get a lead. Turtling and playing a low possession game is a loser approach IMO. And, it also plays right into Houston's game style. -
This (Texans) game is huge...
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to The Red King's topic in The Stadium Wall
They were able to go against tendency a lot in the bucs game - but if they can win at the LOS on offense then they will win. Avoid being super predictable and getting behind the sticks, and if they speed rush up field they're going to mix in blitzes and spies to stop allen from buying lots of time. Be decisive, and dictate. -

Big Turk replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Which explains why the game plan in many of those games was clock control, keep the ball as long as possible and limit possessions...to protect the defense. Or don't you realize that is what they were trying to do with how they played? When KC is averaging over 10 yards per play mid-way thru the 4th quarter that's a pretty big issue don't you think? And it came extremely close to working as they held the lead into the 4th quarter in those games most of the time... -

Yeah I agree. It would have been nice for sure. Idk why the Bills wouldn't be in on it given the injuries we have. -

Get Johnson and Cook involved in the passing game again. And even if Kincaid can't go, which is likely (call him Boy in the Plastic Bubble-you all remember that movie w John Travolta from the 70's) get Knox involved some down the field. If he can get open he usually can make the catch. Need to be creative. Playing cautious and conservative only throwing 5-10 yards downfield will get us nowhere against the Texans.

The ***** is it lol. How many times did the dude who killed the Ukrainian girl get released? How long was his rap sheet? -
This season JA should pass the career rushing touchdown total of players like Edgerrin James, Frank Gore, Corey Dillon and maybe even Marshawn Lynch. If he keeps doing anything close to what he's doing, by next year he'll have passed Curtis martin, Jerome Bettis, Priest Holmes, Franco Harris, and Eric Dickerson. Add another 10 TDs to that and he surpasses Barry Sanders, Marshall Faulk, and Shaun Alexander. Obviously he can't keep this up forever, but if he keeps pace for another couple years, he'll be one of the top 10 most prolific rushers to have ever played the game. 😶 With that, he's a Hall of Famer without a pass ever thrown. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/rush_td_career.htm

Yeah I just looked at that too. They will really have to slip up...fingers crossed.

Should we look to trade Keon after this season?

The WR room was rudderless because there was no alpha in place. No stud to set the tone. Sorta like former All Pro and alpha-persona Jordan Poyer is now being credited with as Cole Bishop is emerging. I mean.......every WR room has 4 or 5 other guys in it. A hyped rookie who is the #2 focus of marketing by the team behind the QB being told he is going to become WR1 probably isn't going to be taking his lead from Shoeless Mack Hollins and short-arms-slot-only Shakir. There wasn't even a captain in the room anymore with wrong-way Gabe gone. The lack of leadership was acknowledged as a concern of the Bills....I mean, where did you think that applied? And Allen isn't the Aaron Rodgers type either. Not a guy who is going to ride a teammate to make him better like Rodgers did with the enigmatic young version of Davante Adams. The tactical error was basically handing a player you were highly critical of after the season the WR1 job in 2025 and then playing him the most snaps all season as he continues to struggle and only then benching him outright for being late for at least his 3rd practice with the team. That's the definition of a day late and dollar short and the timing of it gives the perception to the public that he's the reason for the teams wildly inconsistent passing game(even if that weren't the case). -
