  1. Past hour
  2. Thank you for taking the time to reply,
  3. Mine are Phonak's. I forget the model number, but they are middle tier. Cost me about $1700 for the pair out of pocket. I think Insurance covered about $900 of the total cost. I recently saw my audiologist, and I asked her about the latest technology. She said that the top of the line hearing aids now have dual drivers for more sound clarity and better audio processing. And those are about $4200. But with the quality of my hearing, $4200 is well worth it.
  4. It may be a bit situational too. If the Bills get up early, the Fins may think, "Man, I've had enough of the sh*t," and begin half-*ssing it. But if they're able to keep it close early, they might fight hard to the very end regardless of what they think of McDaniel. Like you, neither a nailbiter nor a laugher would surprise me. Though I think there's a greater likelihood of the latter.
  5. Both teams keep investing more resources into WR (Chiefs) and DL (Bills) because BOTH positions are important and BOTH teams haven't successfully gotten the value they expected from their earlier picks at that position. Our DL draft picks have underwhelmed, so we had to continually invest in them to the point of literally spending our 2, 3 and 4th round picks this year to try and get quality young players at the position. If our DL was kicking buttox, we would not have used all those picks on DL. If KC's WR were also doing well, they would not keep drafting so many of them with high picks.
  6. I have explained why. I thought it was interesting how people knock our WR investment, including myself, yet here we are, signifgantly better positioned than KC, our nemesis, who invests heavily into the position. That was it man. No greater thoughts. No desire to be overly specific. Clearly some people have that desire. It was just my god, KC is a dumpster fire at WR nearly every time I see them and we aren't. Within that context, one where I'm being complimentary to the Bills, why in gods name do you think I omitted information intentionally to make us look worse? This doesn't really matter and like I said I would just prefer to drop this outright.
  7. Be nice to get make it to January and a over .500 record for once
  8. When my father could no longer hear well enough to communicate even with his hearing aids, his declined was obvious and fairly rapid. He just withdrew from everything and I still feel sorry about the isolated state he was in. Any suggestions as far as brands or types? I know nothing about this world.
  9. Feels like tonight we find out how Miami’s players feel about their coach. Either they come out incredibly flat or incredibly fired up. Most people are predicting the former, but I’m ready for either. Either way, Bills should win. If Miami comes out hot, I think they’ll still fold if/when the Bills go up two scores. Especially if the Dolphins get away from the run game again.
  10. I know that. I'm suggesting that if the networks want to continue with their late night shows they should wise up and pick someone who won't turn off half of the country by giving political lectures. Replace him with Adam Corolla.
  11. Now that Kimmel is gone, perhaps he can be replaced by an illegal alien comedian working for $50,000 a year... That would be funny... And everyone saves money...
  12. For a 4th or 5th rounder ... Maybe. But that salary bro has is too much.
  13. Sorry man. You titled the thread Bills vs Chiefs WR investment and then proceed to leave out the biggest investment (by far) that Beane made into the position. Why?
  14. Kimmel didn't really polk both sides, he hated Trump. Hearing him on Stern among other things showed his colors.
  15. A little inside joke with my wife from a dinner we had at an old blue hair place in Sarasota, the Bijou Cafe across from the Opera House. I don’t think we needed fake ID’s to get in, but we were the only working couple there at the time. A couple at the table next to us gets animated and we hear the wife say “Frank, you forgot your hearing aids, didn’t you?” Frank responds “WHAT???” I swear we still laugh at that, so we need to laugh at ourselves as well moving forward.
  16. Thursday Night football. The Bills win by twenty four. Fish in the crapper.
  17. I've had hearing aids since 2022. I absolutely love them. Mine (and it sounds like yours as well) are Bluetooth enabled. So I can talk on my cell phone through my hearing aids. I simply adjust the settings on the app for my hearing aids when I'm in a noisy restaurant, and I can hear my wife and others at my table talk just fine. My in-laws were stubborn and didn't want to get hearing aids. Enter my wife who has to research everything. Not wearing hearing aids with hearing loss can have cognitive effects, and can be a lead-in into dementia and other brain related issues. I took that to heart myself and wear them whenever possible. The only time I don't really wear them is when I have a gig, as I have In Ear Monitors (which are also life changing) and I'm too afraid of taking out my hearing aids and misplacing them while at a gig.
  18. Yes, those ones. Similar to the people on this board who put a laughing emoji on common sense and true answers instead of debating them because they know they are wrong.
