Political Violence: Where Do You Stand?

You voted for this. It is happening as I predicted. People will fight back against tyranny. Indeed, and they’re wearing masks and hiding their identities as they raid schools, restaurants, and job sites. -

So much for the National Weather Service

They had no sirens, first of all, and second of all it’s being reported that the forecast didn’t account for the amount of rain they got. Then fund the NWS more. -
Maxwell Hairston named in civil lawsuit for sexual assault
Doc Brown replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
To be fair this whole thing somehow turned into a somewhat interesting discussion of whether a victim was entitled to all the punitive damages (money) in a civil suit like this. It's such a ridiculously obvious answer but I enjoyed hearing the idiotic alternatives. -

We are at war. America has been infiltrated by the enemy. This could get worse before it gets better -
Maxwell Hairston named in civil lawsuit for sexual assault

I respect that. I'd just like to point out that innocence and guilt, in a legal sense, are not at issue in a civil suit where the standard of proof is "more likely than not". I do wonder how many people commenting here actually read the suit? If one clicks on the OP article, it's linked. -

Thanks. I was thinking more along the lines of insurance against nuisance lawsuits. (And before people jump to conclusions…I’m not saying this is one!) I’m not sure how it would work, or how much you’d have to pay in premiums but it seems like you can get insurance against just about anything as long as you’re willing to pay for it. Athletes have been known to get insurance on their knees or shoulders. Maybe the very existence of such a policy would make you even more of a target, but I could imagine all sorts of claims being filed against young athletes who suddenly come into big money. -
ESPN has him ranked 8th in the NFL FWIW. No mention of him being abhorrent at pass blocking. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/45589580/ranking-nfl-top-10-running-backs-2025-execs-coaches-scouts-make-their-picks-best-rushers 8. James Cook, Buffalo Bills Highest ranking: 4 | Lowest ranking: unranked Age: 25 | Last year's ranking: honorable mention Cook entered the top 10 after a 16-touchdown season in 2024, vaulting from honorable mention to No. 8 and pushing Taylor for the seventh spot. He's now tied with O.J. Simpson (1975) for the most rushing touchdowns in a single season in Bills history. Cook's 3.1 yards per rush before contact was the fifth-highest mark of any qualifying back. "Dangerous and explosive," an NFL personnel executive said. Added an AFC exec: "He's perfect for that offense, with a quarterback that spreads things out. He's good in the passing game, catches the ball really well, good in open space. Not sure he's elite yet, but he's really, really good." He's averaging 222 carries per season as the starter, and some teams are curious about how he would hold up as a 300-carry No. 1 back at 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds. But either way, he has earned league wide respect at a time when he's seeking a contract extension from Buffalo.

This is where I am at... we can win it this year... I do think they have transitioned nicely for the future... now we have to have some defensive picks hit and not just as serviceable starters... but the ones that wreck games .... but in the end... lets see but I like the future for this group.

Maxwell Hairston named in civil lawsuit for sexual assault
Augie replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think he’s just upset that he got in line for the pitch forks, but the torch line moved much faster. He’s disenchanted by the process we use, and he seems to be giving up. Letting the process play out is not part of our typical process. It can be confusing. -

and I believe the main amenities are: — Included food and (non-alcoholic) bevarages — Dedicated stadium entrance for Field Club ticketholders — Ability to go down to some sort field level roped-off area and watch the players come out of the tunnel Can anyone confirm? Did I miss any?

PSL Pricing/Seat Selection Discussion

I thought I read the field is sunk low enough that you can see over players easily. Will the sideline camera get in your way? The field club is just what it says. Seats with club amenities at field level. -
Perspective on the Bills from Eagles fan site.
GunnerBill replied to BigAl2526's topic in The Stadium Wall
I believe the latter but still think there is some merit to the opinion in the article. The Bills have again focussed their offseason effort on the Dline. That is something they have tried a few times without it paying off. Will it this time? Who knows? -

It's crazy how sure people are about something they nothing about. I "hope" the lawsuit is bogus but these matters can be extremely tricky. I'd rather quietly let the process playout than wish-cast his innocence or burn him to the stake. -
I'm hoping they learn to not only close out games but not let games get out of hand in the first place.

The D line is better then 2022. The key with the D line is a guy or two emerging into a game changer, they have a lot a lot of good close to great players but not great or game changer. CB if someone emerges at the CB2 spot changes that into a huge strength. Safety to me is the biggest question mark on the roster even more than WR at this point. Rapp was decent when he played, otherwise it was a true weakness last year.

I am not on Twitter, the format is obnoxious. For many tweets, its akin to hearing your neighbor yammer on at their kitchen table as you walk by their house "Herb" is a no go, at least for now, though one never knows what the future holds. I'm happy to consider your point of view, you've provided insight in the past I found useful, but so far you have incorrectly characterized my position on that issue, called me delusional, and suggested Twitter and/or herb and/or other dark forces have poisoned my mind. Here's what I have: Hillary Clinton played fast and loose with national security. Her biggest supporters acknowledged she was reckless and careless, to say nothing of her fiercest critics. The resulting fallout was quite predictable even without James Comey's statement. Besides insults and conspiracy theories of poisoned minds, what else do you have?
