Annual PSA about the Bills’ cut-down to 53…
TheyCallMeAndy replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Basically the whole rule for everything week 1 related should be don't freak out. It's the true wildcard weekend because teams are still figuring it out. -
Butterflies taste with their feet

Kind of crazy how fast camp/preseason went. I know it is one less pre-season game but it felt like it just flew by and now we are in the bye week leading up to week 1! Summer is almost over and we are heading into fall and football!
-
I think we need to pump the brakes a little bit on that play. Getting a sack to "hold" the other team to a lead-taking long FG drive with a few minutes left in the game is NOT an all-time play. An all-time clutch play would've been forcing a turnover for a TD (like Taron Johnson). Or even just a sack to force a punt. Milano had a more important sack earlier in that game that knocked KC out of FG range and forced a punt
-
I don't see how we have any evidence to support this claim.

Why Landon Jackson is the next MONSTER in the NFL
TheyCallMeAndy replied to MJS's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed, and honestly it's ok if he needs some developmental time. Let him be the gameday inactive and learn from Groot, Bosa, and AJ. -
Tyler Bass is an average NFL kicker. It's wild how many people think he's a bottom tier guy. He makes about 85% of his kicks. That's right on pace with league average.
-
Agreed, even with the Larry Obi Kinobi suspension, Bills likely aren't rostering 6 active DTs with 5 active DEs. I think Mr. Carter is getting traded
-
Speculation is ogunjobi might not make it on Wgr. I guess that makes some sense depending on if there are special terms regarding his suspension.
-
This year the Bills have to worry about both. With KC it's probably a mental problem at this point with not being able to beat them in the playoffs. The Ravens IMHO have a better roster. If the Bills and Ravens meet the playoffs then the game better be played in OP. I wouldn't like the Bills, chances at all if it were played in Baltimore.

Shavers is much superior to Hodgins. That’s not a fair comparison imo Moore and Shenault are good as gone. And Samuel is not a bum
-
Not so sure about that. Remember Fred Jackson? He was in the exact same spot Shavers is in. Pre-season love our of lives and then... doesn't make the 53. Until he finally did and voila. Superstar! Shavers reminds me of Fred. Just waiting to make his name in the NFL as a starter that produces.

We just haven't had the same opportunity.

In modern CFB with NIL and free transfers, most highly-rated players will transfer out of a MAC school for better exposure just like midling players will transfer down for playing time. So, in 2025 Roethlisberger doesn't finish at Miami. He transfers to Cincinnati or Indiana.
-
Samuel is healthy and we can use him against Baltimore
-
I cant believe both years I was more worried about the Baltimore match up than the Chiefs.
-
Elam was definitely the biggest issue that game, no doubt.

Nice Article on President Failure

Big Pharma funds so much of advertising, the FDA, academic RESEARCH (along with Big Agra) that it becomes very difficult to trust what they say. There are billions (if not trillions) riding on whether there will be healthcare/government funding of GLP-1s for "weight loss." Meanwhile people are risking their health for a short-term benefit. And if most people cannot continue paying for the drug, or go off it due to unpleasant side effects, then the short-term weight loss is pointless. •In early 2023, a private conference with pharmaceutical industry leaders and investors highlighted anti-obesity and Alzheimer’s drugs as the next big money-makers and had the FDA head as its keynote speaker. •Since then, the FDA has taken questionable steps to promote these drugs, particularly Ozempic, an anti-obesity medication. There's been a massive push to get everyone, including children, on Ozempic, using shockingly aggressive marketing tactics. •This rush is eerily similar to the fen-phen craze, a temporary weight loss drug later pulled from the market for causing severe heart and lung issues. •Worse, Ozempic comes with serious side effects, including paralyzing the digestive tract. This article will address the above controversy and explore the common causes of obesity, including those rarely discussed. The Great Ozempic Hustle -
Is there evidence that the Bills never made an offer to Dolac? He was an UDFA, so he could go to any team. Maybe he always dreamed of living in LA. Young people in their twenties frequently want to move elsewhere, especially if they've gone to college in their home towns. I went to Nebraska for graduate school for that very reason. I remember the "bad old days" when the Bills rosters were sprinkled with numerous undrafted players. Rarely they hit the jackpot -- OLer Jason Peters is a future HOFer -- and occasionally some became pretty good NFL players like DB Jabari Greer and RB Fred Jackson, but most never became more than backups. I think the currrent Bills simply don't have room on their roster for many UDFAs. IIRC, the MAC was more highly considered by NFLers 20 plus years ago than it is today. Pittsburgh took Ben Roethlisberger in the first round of the 2004 draft.

Thats the question. Bottom 53 or veteran PS. Either way Dwayne Carter seems to be on the bubble. Whether he is on the roster or possible trade candidate.

Had the Bills been able to score a TD on that last drive against KC (or kick a field goal and win in OT), the Jordan Phillips play to end the drive and force a field goal on KC's last offensive drive would be considered one of the most clutch defensive plays in Bills playoffs history. I love me some Jordan Phillips so give me his 3 good games before he gets hurt!
