I have mulled this over for a while and I think Allen has received such conflicting advice ovr his career that he feels a bit yo-yo’d. He has had 3 different OC’s in the past 4 years, and each are very different from one another. This current iteration Joe Brady offense is one that can beat up bad/stupid defenses by dinking and dunking and throwing WR screens a million times, but as soon as a team collapses the field and plays the sticks, like the Dolphins did, the offense falls apart. Look at all the Dolphin defenders at the sticks just daring us to go deeper. Daboll had his warts too but he stressed the defense to cover all areas of the field and was very good at scheming guys open in that intermediate zone. Ive said it for over a year now - I don’t like the way Brady runs his offense. I don’t care that we score a bazillion points against bad teams. Part of the inconsistency we see is baked in to type of offense we run. We have so many plays that are boom or bust. No second option. The WR screens are one of them - they’re dead on arrival half the time, if not more.

I feel drunk, but I'm sober I'm young, and I'm underpaid I'm tired, but I'm working, yeah I care, but I'm restless I'm here, but I'm really gone I'm wrong, and I'm sorry, baby And what it all comes down to Is that everything's gonna be quite all right 'Cause I've got one hand in my pocket And the other one is flickin' a cigarette

I feel like that comes with receivers that can separate.

because they are an arrogant, poorly coached team

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good

Nothing, except more commercials. -
I don't think the skill of the opponent has much to do with the outcome at this point. It's not like the Bills play well against the poor teams, but bad against the good teams. In fact, it's mostly the opposite. Wins against healthy Ravens team and KC and losses to crappy Dolphins and Falcons show this. In retrospect, the Pats game is the only time they lost to a good team, and that went down to the wire. At this point it is anyone's guess which Bills team shows up week to week, but the quality of the opponent does not seem to be an issue. I mean with a beatdown from the Dolphins-- if that is the team we get-- they will likely lose to everyone. If we get the KC team, we might go 14-3.

The bookies lost their shirts on the Sunday evening games (O/U). This was to let them ketchup. 😁 * And after all the crap surfacing regarding fixing in pro sports, prove me wrong. 🤨 -
Why? Because the Dolphins are hot garbage this year.. The Phins and Jets are probably the 2 worst teams in the NFL so yes it’s very easy to overlook them and focused on a much harder opponent in Tampa Bay.

This is Beane's vision right? He wants this offense to be what we're seeing.

That's an indicator of a coach that has lost the team so to speak. The posts we see on this board like "this team is stale" are accurate. I suspect the Miami Loss will scare them straight for a short period of time, much like the Atlanta loss did. They will work hard, prepare hard, practice hard...and show up vs Tampa, especially at home. The other issue is that the Bills really aren't that special plus the defensive injuries. When they go on the road and half-ass the game and the opponent is jacked up, it's a recipe for losses.

If playing 1970's style offense in the 2020's with a generational QB talent is the plan then we're doomed to season after season of repetitive failure until some time in the distant future when ownership wakes up to reality.

I've got the Lions in there as well. Personally I think the NFC comes down to either Lions or Rams this year -
Coaches are heavily implying that Coleman isn’t trying on the field

I agree 100 percent. Josh needs to grow a pair and hold his teammates accountable when they are screwing up. Brady, Rodger’s, Peyton Manning, Drew Breeze, Marino,Kelly, all of them played with fire and got on their guys when the effort wasn’t there. I’m tired of Josh being Mr. nice guy and just sitting in isolation on the sideline sulking. I don’t even see any coaches or players talking to him. I never see him go up and down the bench rallying the troops. I get they are professional and shouldn’t need a pep talk but they are human and complacency sets in when nobody seems to care. It’s human nature. Sometimes they need a kick in the ass and McD isn’t going to do it. All he can do is clap maniacally after every bad play and call ill timed timeouts that result in bad plays. -

Well, do you? -
McDermott doesn't strike me as a guy who "settles" on anything with a coordinator. He's the guy who tells the coordinator what he expects. Besides, personnel decisions were made to support this offensive scheme. The resistance to finding a top receiver, the UFA/draft decisions along with the emphasis on running the ball more signal this is what McD wanted all along. He finally got it and it's turned to garbage. Since January 2017 the lead voice in this organization is Sean McDermott and nothing is outside his oversight or control, especially their playing philosophy.

Our dog is a mix of Blue Heeler, and coyote..........yep, sounds as awful as you'd think. Blue Heelers are fiercely loyal, and the coyote side added a dimension of "wild" like you could only imagine. She's 5 now, but the first 2 years was constant training. Like, we couldn't leave her alone in any room with anybody cause no one knew how she would act and there were a few times where she would "turn" on people and try to attack them, but she's well behaved now and in fact, is the biggest suck ever. My son named her for her colors and her coat.........Chai Latte (yes, we got problems).

No, they weren't. They played like poop and got beat for it. Why would the Bills look past the Dolphins? The Dolphins, Pats, and Jets are the six most important games the Bills play on their schedule every year for the obvious reason. Why would they look past a divisional rival to play an NFC team?

What will the Bills do when Tampa just crowds the line and refuses to let us run. Can we impose our will against them? I have my doubts. What about Houston 4 days later?
