  1. Past hour
  2. How long before they trot out another Ivy league law school grad to push this line again only to get owned by a ramen chewing dude. 😂
  3. Please feel free to use any of the other multiple James Cook threads that already exist on the front page.
  4. Appreciate that as I was just talking basic strategy at one particular moment of that game in a high leverage moment. That stuff always fascinates me. I didn't expect an "I must hate Allen" conclusion. We all know that Allen turned us into an NFL after thought into perennial Super Bowl contenders.
  5. J6 was an attempt to defeat the peaceful transfer of power. Also, during this "summer of love" of which you speak (an interesting moniker, inasmuch as Trump has alluded to J6 as a day of "love"), which federal buildings (plural) were "destroyed?" Your words. Also, which police officers were "killed" during those protests? Again, your words. I'm going to go out on a limb and say the number is a big fat zero for both.
  6. Ok so I’ll simplify my question. Would you rather have Bateman for $12 million a year or Cook for $12 million? To me that’s a no brainer-Cook is a much more dynamic weapon than Bateman is and if I had to choose between the 2 I wouldn’t hesitate to pick Cook
  7. Why are we talking about 2017?
  8. Not this again.
  9. Its call bargaining, Every player want to be payed top of the market money. Its Beane job to figure that out. What I am really saying is, Cook is more deserving of a contract extension before any player on defense. What has Benford, AJ and Groot done that is more deserving than Cook? Cook is more important to Josh than a bunch of guys on defense who do not produce.
  10. KTLA reports, Trump orders National Guard to Los Angeles amid fiery ICE protests. Again, a point that I and many others have made before, if your protest is “fiery,” than it is no longer a protest. “Mostly peaceful” is not a thing. Your protest is peaceful, or it is no longer a protest. There is no third, half-and-half concoction. KTLA continues, Protests sparked by Friday and Saturday’s ICE raids continue to erupt across Los Angeles areas, some scenes turning violent and destructive, leading President Trump to deploy thousands of National Guard troops to the region and the U.S. Defense Secretary threatening to mobilize active duty Marines. By now you’ve all seen the pictures and videos of the guy on the motor bike, circling the burning wreckage and waving the Mexican flag. Media have been quick to liken the weekend events to the 2020 George Floyd riots or the Civil Rights/Vietnam War riots of the 1960’s. {snip} U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) was quoted on TV this morning, My understanding is that the governor of California, the mayor of the city of Los Angeles, did not request the National Guard, but [Trump] thinks he has a right to do anything he wants. If the governor and the mayor refuse to protect the lives and property of U.S. citizens, then what should be done? The Feds aren’t asking for local law enforcement help, just insisting that basic laws be enforced by Federal officers within Los Angeles County. The result? Three days of rioting. Whose country is it, anyway? https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/06/whose-country.php .
  11. RB is a dime a dozen. Cook is like the 15th best RB in the league. If they were going to pay that much they could have signed Barkley away from the Giants. I'm sure they were very aware of how much he was looking for
  12. Wait. James Cook wants a contract extension?
  13. Marxist arrives to stoke the flames of insurrection.
  14. JAMES COOK!!
  15. Phil Hansen should get more acknowledgement. Both Stevie , Fred, and Peters wasted a lot of time having to gut out roster spots. They all should have had a few more key years.
  16. Would you rather we sign James Cook or O’Cyrus Torrence and Conor McGovern?
  17. It was their final most essential command. More please. It's definitely working!
  18. Dear Brandon Beane, According to you, we live in a production business. If this true how do justify paying AJ and GROOT but not wanting to pay JAMES COOK. The niners, ravens and eagles have shown what having a dominant run game /back can do for your offense. In fact, if the Bills would have just given Cook the ball in KC, we would have been he team in the Superbowl. Beane. get this deal done ASAP. Cook is our most explosive and consistent weapon on offense for Josh. We do not need any distractions heading into the season. He has earned a contract extension. Paying GROOT, a mediocre DE 20 million a year over Cook is crazy. LET JAMES COOK!!!! SINCERELY YOURS COOK #1 FAN
  19. You've gone full blown Sunday afternoon wacko.
  20. 3. They wave Mexican flags but don't want to live there. 4. Libs always throw around the word authoritarianism when laws they don't like such as presenting yourself to US Customs to enter the country legally get enforced. 5. The rioters are magically transformed into the victims.
  21. Ballad of the Offseason Blues I. When April’s end had come and gone, The Draft now in the rear, The fan sat restless on his couch, His Sundays strangely clear. The picks were made, the grades were in, And now began the drought— No passes thrown, no chains were moved, Just talk and swirling doubt. II. He clung to tweets from beat reporters, On third-string guards with “pop,” And watched a clip ten thousand times— A UDFA’s one-hop. “He’s got the tools, he runs real fast, He might just make the team!” He whispered like a midnight priest Still chasing last year’s dream. III. He followed every rumor trail Of veterans unsigned, Debating cap and scheme fits while He slowly lost his mind. The news was thin, the takes were hot, The quotes recycled twice— “A culture guy,” “great motor,” and “His instincts are precise.” IV. He found himself at 2 a.m. Watching a Spring League stream, Where quarterbacks wore single digits And rosters changed mid-scheme. A fix, he said, a fleeting hit, A stand-in for the rush, Though half the plays were broken screens And punts went off the bush. V. Then one night drunk with YouTube tabs, He wandered far afield, To hurling’s ancient warrior sport, Where sticks are never healed. He learned of scrums and Irish flair, Of sliotars whizzing fast, And watched a rugby match or two— He even made it last. VI. But still he dreamed in spiral throws, In drives that chewed the clock, In goal-line stands and frozen turf And hits that made men rock. The calendar moved inch by inch, Each day a stubborn stone, Until that whisper, “Camp begins,” Reached deep into the bone. VII. And now he counts each minor sprain And watches drills on loop, As helmet cams and hype combine To reel him from the stoop. He knows this lull, this aching wait, Will end and bring delight— But still he bears the Offseason Blues, From draft ’til camp ignites. *Courtesy of ChatGPT*
