  1. Past hour
  2. Denver was the opposing team for my first game. They had those goofy vertically striped socks .. at the time it didnt seem weird, but in hindsight they sure were!
  3. Waving to the Bills bus as it pulls in today hoping Milano sees and is nice to him.
  4. Wife, daughter, sister, brother in law, tickets, check. Viewed the mayhem last night, over ate and over drank! Go Bills …. PS … every Bills fan, and you all are, should see the Miami invasion with a good Bills team in place once in their life. “Everywhere” is an accurate phrase. Impression - the Bills are so good, and have been for so long, that Miami fans don’t even cheer back. Miami fans look on with blank faces. They have a resigned sense of inevitability and foreboding. The Bills fans are like shingles. They appear periodically, are painfully annoying, cannot be avoided or sent away, and are best suffered in silence while waiting for them to leave on their own.
  5. That’s a good choice, right behind those though are standard noise cancelling earbuds. I use the Bose QC whatevers now because I’m on planes and trains a lot and they’re genius at blocking sharp noises while allowing conversation. The apple ones are good too if you’re one of those people.
  6. Come on boys, let's stimulate our balls while she squeals
  7. I think Max has himself a breakout game today. I see him matching up with Waddle and grabbing an under thrown ball or two.
  8. Yes, the measures people will go through to discredit McDermott is almost laughable.
  9. Very cool ! Shawn Merriman is one of those players that’s easy to forget they even played for Buffalo like Vince Young or Reggie Bush.
  10. Check out the electronic ear muffs that gun shooters use. It allows you to hear conversations but compress's loud noises like gun shots. Not sure if it would work on all the sounds, but it would probably handle the fireworks. Not sure about the train whistle.
  11. Fans are in for a big let down if the Bills don’t make it to the SB and McDermott is still here next year. I am taking a “wait and see” approach. It’s not only if they lose, but how they lose. Regardless, I am a realist. The Pegulas and Josh Allen love McDermott. That’s why I think we are stuck with him for a while. It would take something truly catastrophic for him to lose his job.
  12. There are some legitimate criticisms to make of McDermott. Some of which you allude to in your first para. But your contention in the OP is still completely wrong. Nobody is trying to cement him in a pantheon of great coaches.
  13. No idea what that means but you can choose how to look at things no matter the situation.
  14. Try living where I live for a while.
  15. It must suck to walk around trying to find the most negative way to look at everything.
  16. Actually, I'm not a "fire McD" guy but any Bills fan with a pulse would have to confess some disappointment with him. It's not the "zero Superbowls" thing, it's that with a "defense-minded coach" we've had way too many games where we couldn't get a stop on third down, especially with all the draft capital we've invested on defense. And I may have said this once or twice (or maybe 15 times) - I think his biggest failure is NOT 13 seconds, but his failure to be accountable for 13 seconds. It was clearly a coaching meltdown in several aspects, yet he's never owned it or told us why it won't ever happen again. So I think he's a guy who's got a damaged public persona, and some geek with a new HP calculator found a way to put him on the same list as Paul Brown. It sounds pretty lame to me. Still, I don't buy the "fire McD" approach, partly because so many new coaches fail and partly because I'm a Sabres fan too and I've seen what happens when Terry gets to hire folks.
  17. I know he gets maligned on this board, but thank goodness we have Dorain Williams. He may be the most dependable LB we have in terms of playing time. And he hits—it may not always be the right guy—but someone is going to get hit.
  18. The closer you sit to the field, the less you will be able to hear the PA system. Cover your ears before 3rd down if you don’t like loud noises as they blare the train horn. Like I said, you’ll barely be able to hear it when you’re close to the field Don’t sit in the family section in the 200s as you’ll be right next to a stadium speaker during the national anthem they blast off fireworks and some loud bangs.
  19. There are a few. Fireworks after scores, train horn on 3rd downs, and drunken idiots falling down the stairs.
  20. Please remember to limit Bills discussion to designated threads.
  21. WE GOT THIS!!!! Gonna be such a sweet feeling to finally tie our all-time series record with the Dolphins!! Can't wait to watch Josh Allen and company do their thing, I have a feeling they're gonna bring their all!! GO BILLS!!!!
  22. Go Bills!! Let’s have ourselves a solid game on all levels!!
  23. HAPPY GAME DAY TBD! Snow in Buffalo? No problem—fly south and enjoy the sun for a few days. And apparently, many of you are doing just that and driving up the usually cheap ticket prices at the Hard Rock. Well, for those of you who can afford it, I hope y'all have a great time dancing and celebrating a Bills win in the glow of the afternoon sun. It's the annual Fish Fry in Miami. Party time! GO BILLS !!!
