It worked beautifully against Detroit last year. I think Ray Davis had over 100 yards receiving that game. The Bills biggest strength (obv other than Allen) are the athletic linemen, Tight Ends, and RBs. I would’ve loved to see Ty Johnson and Davis used more in the passing game. With that said, I don’t think the Bills lose if they didn’t uncharacteristically turn the ball over. As much as a change in scheme is needed, protecting the ball is the #1 priority and can’t keep happening.

I could be wrong but I bet it has something do with soft coverage as well. Giving opposing pass catchers big cushions allows QBs to get the ball out quickly on short passes. Pass rush has less time to get home. -
I'm not panicking at all. We weren't going to go undefeated. I do have concerns over this defense and our offense as well though.

Outside of that 51 yard catch and run in week 1 Cook is averaging an abysmal 3.5 yards per reception. Brady needs to find a way to make Cook an actual weapon in the passing game before he starts getting more targets.

Let’s hope Ed, Hoecht and Larry can actually tackle and don’t have butter fingers like the rest of the D, because all the pressure in the world doesn’t mean anything when they completely miss the tackles what seems like about 90% of the time -

The Bills have been very good at getting pressure. They just have difficulty finishing it off and getting it home. They are also bad at losing edge contain. -
I always want to strangle Coach McDermott when he starts calling defensive time outs with less than a minute left in the 1st half. It gives the QB time to talk to the coach. Guys get a blow and a drink of water. And what happens is they score with 10 seconds left and we don't have time to do anything anyway. This is not the 1st time this has happened. I'd prefer for the other team to feel the pressure of the clock. Have to run up and spike it. Make them call their own timeouts. Especially with a young QB. Seems like we're helping them by calling timeouts.

They should be letting him run more actual routes like he did at Georgia. Sick of watching him have to stay in to block for a few seconds before leaking out, catching a pass, and barely having a chance to blink before getting hit.

For me it is not about this loss. I expect to get losses and this one doesn't bother me. This isn't the first game that I suddenly thought about this. It's just the first time I posted my thoughts about it in a thread I created. Thank you. Exactly.

I disagree that it’s a panic, I think a few people had legitimate concerns before the game as in another dimension we could have been 1-3 going into the pats game. The ravens win was a once in a lifetime miracle, and we were a brainless blocked punt penalty away from possibly losing to both the dolphins and the saints. A loss had been coming, it was just doubly frustrating that it came to the pats and Diggs

Brady would rather run Jet Sweeps with Knox or run into stacked boxes on 2nd and 1 then to throw the ball to Cook and get him in space. Joe Brady is a major problem IMO

Amen to that ganesh, Let James feast...

Seems like a bit too much panic right now

This is crazy. -
They should be throwing to James Cook more often.

Unless he’s some amazing run blocker or special teamer I have no idea why Shavers is even active

Congrats to Trump on being the first Nazi to be owned by Israel Swap out Trump with Netanyahu and it would actually make sense

Maybe he needs to go to the gym to fix his weakness problem? Or is it the leadership skills that are failing? -
Look at Cooks separation and then explain why James Cook had the lowest number of touches this season vs Patriots. Zero pass completions. One of the best scoring machines in the NFL. Hello How about Joe Brady WTF?
-
I stopped believing in McDermott's ability to out-coach / out-scheme his opponent a long time ago. And nothing over the last 5 years has changed that. We win because of Josh Allen....period!
-
Guess Kincaid can’t separate either

Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again

We were at 13 seconds, I looked at my wife and son and said, “ This isn’t over yet.” Then I started jabbering “ They're gonna squib it…..They’ve got to squib it, right???” Then I started screaming at the TV, “ Why are you giving Hill that cushion?!?! Jam his arse!!!!!” The rest is history I was surprised but not fully……life of a Bills fan😮 -
Return of the Tre! (Tre White signs with the Bills)
hondo in seattle replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sierra, you're an intelligent poster and I usually agree with you. But not here. According to one source, opposing QBs have a 121.9 quarterback rating when targeting whoever Tre is covering. If I'm a QB and I need a third-down conversion, I'm throwing to Tre's guy. Maybe Tre's dealing with something and will improve as the season progresses? I doubt if that's the case, but as a Bills fan, I can only fill my days with hope. -
Not the whole place, but certainly large swathes of it. Certainly including this dumb thread.
