  1. Past hour
  2. I didn't have any problem with this read from Allen. It's 4th down and the 1st read appears like it will be open, you take it every time. Palmer getting knocked down and Latu getting slowed up disrupted the timing because Allen is waiting for the short crossers to pass so he can throw the ball. I'd like to see Knox show some awareness here... He's just standing watching the ball come to him and somehow doesn't realize a defender is on his way to the ball. Step up and sn*tch that thing out of the air.
  3. Looked liked Brown was getting in on the act there at the end….?
  4. It would seem that way, but Mills actually targets Nico Collins like he should be targeted. Stroud, not so much.
  5. Today
  6. Bo Nix just released his top 5 QB list Josh Allen Matthew Stafford Bo Nix Baker Mayfield Jared Goff
  7. Texans season is on the line. Very tough defense. Short week... But bills offense is too versatile Bills win with a fg 23-20 The last time I can honestly remember a bills QB playing great in Houston is the 89 ot game for Kelly
  8. I understand rooting for Indy over KC, as things don't have to always be logical. The logical thing is to root for KC, though. The Bills have never won a road playoff game under McDermott and are just 2-2 on the road so far this season despite playing 4 non-playoff teams. And in the scenario where the Bills do make the playoffs this season as a wild card, probably the only possibility to host the AFC Championship Game is if KC gets in as a lower wild-card and wins two road games (which the Bills would have to match, of course). I mean, the best answer is to not think about it and just root for the Bills to beat the Texans with no injuries and ignore other games. But if MUST think about it...
  9. Tom Brady had elite defenses and won many playoff games with totally subpar stat lines, including his last SB in NE. Some of those wins he had a similar stat line to Allen's terrible playoff game vs Cincy. We don't have an elite defense this season, and I doubt we'll have one soon. Best bet is to stack points and get teams out of their offensive game plan (which would probably be to run it all over our soft defense).
  10. Toenail biter: Bills 22, Texans 20.
  11. While not an official practice today for the Texans, Stroud was listed as still in concussion protocol so unless he practices tomorrow in some capacity he is going to be out for the Bills game but there are already reports that he is going to be out for the Bills game.
  12. Allen ranks 3rd among runningbacks in scoring lmfao with 10 TD. Needs 1 more to tie for second
  13. I was wearing out friends and family with my desire to replace McDermott with Johnson for the last two offseasons, to be honest. Crushes me that we haven't paired a HOF QB unicorn with a young, aggressive, PROgressive offensive mind like Ben Johnson. Someone from the McVay/Shanahan/Kubiak trees and/or college ranks, which is Johnson's exact pedigree. Someone to redirect organization focus onto forward thinking approaches to everything, with a specific emphasis on QB success. **Especially love Johnson's response here when thinking of Allen's particular passing skillset: he is not a guy who naturally excels at the jump ball or back shoulder throws. He's a guy who really likes to see the separation. (I'm sure he and Diggs had a bunch of pitches and catches that disprove all this, but then again, that would also speak to most fans' frustrations over not stacking the WR room with dynamic playmakers who could be scary working with Allen.) So many midround WRs in the last few years (Franklin, Horton, Tez Johnson, Metcalf LOL etc...man that Justin Shorter pick wtf) who seemed like no brainers could have helped, but of course replacing Coleman with almost any other pick (Worthy, Pearsall, McConkey or a diff position all together) would also be impactful. Shakir was a solid pick. Anywho... Beane has always been a big WR guy by nature. Allen's first WR room was bonkers, in retrospect.
  14. You play right into their hands by playing a close game.
  15. Agree across the board. Just can't suffer McD's methodical smothering of the roster's and fanbase's joy any longer. Gotta unleash the beast (Allen) early and often each game to get him engaged WHILE ALSO being able to transition as games play out to a more physical, ball control approach.
  16. Listen I would like some more aggressiveness in the offense absolutely Give me a little bit of tempo too... But there might be a game in January where cook needs to run 21 times to win ... And Josh might only have 27 throws You're going to have to be able to do it every single way.. if you don't do it on the regular season you're not going to do it in the postseason... Can you win holding a team under 21? Can you win running without throwing good? Can you win throwing without running good? Can you have a game-winning drive? All of these things are something a Super bowl champion will have to answer.. and actually the bills have checked it off But I get what you're saying I do want the ball in Josh's hands more and I do want them to make him more comfortable with better offensive weapons
  17. Tom Brady was a very different QB than Josh Allen. Allen is a flesh and blood, authentic human being capable of transcendent performances at the highest levels, and with that one will have to endure some missteps and hiccups and frankly bad reps. Tom Brady, on the other hand, is a pod person or android designed for self-improvement, relentless competitiveness, and repeated fundamental execution. Complementary football made so much sense with Brady, especially early in his career when he wasn't great yet. Allen would be better maximized through a more Daboll-like, attacking approach to offensive football. Can sprinkle in the methodical, physical dominance as the game wears on and hopefully a lead is established. Edit: if we Bills faithful die without ever seeing a TRULY Allen-centric organizational emphasis, it will be a great injustice. Isn't that why a defensive head coach would make sense? McD should be able to cobble together an opportunistic and aggressive enough defensive roster of hungry young dudes and assignment-sound old dudes to sufficiently complement an Allen-led offensive WAGON on the other side.
  18. I'm not sure it's Brady's unimaginative game plan, and not the WR skills.
  19. Because they couldnt score in those games, thats how. Held the Rams to 14 points Held the Bucs to 20 points (that was when the Bucs had receivers still) Held the Jags to 17 points Held the Broncos to 18 points The one that got away from the was the Seahawks 27 points Sorry but if I told you the Bills held the other team anywhere from 14-20 points, you'd probably expect we won the game right? That also doesn't include some games they did win like holding the Ravens to 10, SF to 15, Titans to 13 and 0.
  20. Allen has never played well in Houston, losing there three (?) times. I think the Bills lost there in 2018, 2020 (playoff game) and 2024. Also I read on here or Twitter or somewhere that the Bills haven't won there since 2006. All's I'm hoping for is a win in 2025. However, this place is house of horrors for the Bills and this year will be no different. Too many turnovers, Josh never getting comfortable, and Jimbo not quite getting the run game going. Add in Woody Marks getting his first 100 game against the Bills poor run defense and it's gonna be another frustrating loss for us. Texans 25 Bills 14
  21. ? Shavers ran a 4.59 at his pro day at San Diego State. He's not fast, though I suppose it's not a terrible time for a bigger-bodied guy (6'4", 211 lbs). Keon's a bit quicker but neither of these guys runs like a deer... Shavers Keon 40 yards 4.59 4.61 10 yards 1.63 1.54
  22. Plus let them get cocky and overconfident before playing us.
  23. Tom Brady won six Super bowls with complimentary football I wouldn't say it's a terrible strategy... Sean McDermott does not sign free agents or draft players... He literally gets the groceries and tries to cook them He does not bring in the ingredients... We've literally lost by a field goal back-to-back years to the Chiefs who went to the sb They're not that far off... No matter what anybody says... We also got them way more banged up in the playoffs We went in the arrowhead more banged up and lost by three... We are absolutely able to beat them Even if I want better wide receivers on the team.. this is a salary cap League.. I would not sacrifice our offensive line for flashy wide receivers andgive Allen the burrow treatment It means nothing to have those flashy toys when you're on your back and getting hurt all the time.. the best ability is availability.. and keeping our offensive line intact is more important than anything The Patriots won a couple Super bowls on field goals and another one on a goal line pick 6.. it's absolutely smart to care about all three phases ... Brady won Super bowl scoring 13, 24 ,and 20 Sometimes you need to win 24-20... Sometimes you need to win 38-35 Super bowl teams need to be able to win any style of game... The bills have shown they could win running.. they showed they could win throwing yesterday It's a long season and people get caught up in the ebbs and flows... Dalton Kincaid would be one of the most talented tight ends in the league if he stayed healthy
  24. I know this is hard, but try to stay with me: 1) OP poster says "There hasn't been one player that they drafted that is no longer on this team that is remotely any good, outside of Edmunds," (exact quote) 2) This contention could be disproved by listing one player other than Edmunds who is remotely any good 3) I listed 11 players who should be considered at least "any good" because they have continued to play in the NFL for years after the Bills released or traded them, despite the yearly influx of cheaper rookies. Some have started for years. 4) Therefore OP poster's contention is disproved. QED. It must be highly disconcerting to lose your ass by laughing. Perhaps you should hold onto it with both hands; only think how inconvenient to lose it! Without an ass, from what orifice would your poo emerge? It could be detrimental to your social life or enjoyment of meals. Punters are players. Every team has one because they fill a critical role. ST can turn a game and we all howl when it does. However, if you wish to exclude the punter and the primarily ST guys (even the one who led the league in punt return yardage) it still leaves sufficient players to disprove OP poster's contention (since one would suffice) We do understand that players who "bounce around the league" (get picked up by different teams) are in fact "any good", because otherwise the teams who sign them would take younger and cheaper guys hot out of college and undrafted. We understand that, right? I'd say I eagerly await the contortions you'll undergo to avoid acknowledging a point, but Truth: I'd be lying.
