Maxwell Hairston named in civil lawsuit for sexual assault

The NFL also invited him to the draft now that I think about it. I get what you're saying though. I don't know the extent of the Bills investigation. Were they even allowed to talk to the girl that's currently filing the suit? -
Happy Birthday America! I hope everyone outside of the bbq, beer, and most importantly family! Let’s not forget why we are celebrating today. Enjoy

As far as we know, you’re correct that only two people were there. And it’s possible that these two people interpreted the same series of events differently. I do find the timing of suit filing, shortly after the guy signed a multimillion dollar contract, a little suspicious. -

Understood but….That’s not what I asked. The NFL’s public relations exposure here doesn’t come anywhere close to the Bills exposure. Being invited to the combine doesn’t mean you’re getting drafted and certainly not in the 1st Round. -

The NFL also invited him to the combine with this incident on file already so their hands aren't clean of this either. -

Got to agree with that conclusion. Especially given what others have reiterated; Beane & Co. knew about the allegations that are resurfacing. If they didn’t, which we know isn’t the case, and want to hang their hat on that hook then that’s extremely shoddy background checking and whoever oversees that process needs to be removed. Like anything, I choose to keep my opinions on the matter itself private but wish nothing but the best to both and all parties involved in this lawsuit until absolute certainty and matter of fact can be conveyed. -

Lets bottom line this for all involved. She filed a complaint in 21' Authorities investigated and said there was no reason to file Criminal charges. Silence until he was drafted in 2025 when she decides to file a civil suit. Take it for what you will. -

So is it safe to say that the Bills didn’t think there was much, if anything, to be concerned about? I mean, given the Punt God experience, I find it hard to imagine OBD can use the ‘go figure’ defense. -

Happy Independence Day everyone! Don't lose any fingers playing with fireworks, please. You don't want to turn out like Jason Pierre-Paul.

Dude. Beane talked about the incident at the press conference right after they drafted him. I thought at that point everyone knew about the incident. Even the casual fan. LOL. The whole league knew about it. -

This thread is like 4th of July fireworks. I think I just saw the grand finale, but am sticking around in case there’s an encore from T master. -
I'm probably repeating myself - and not trying to one up you - but I saw Metallica at a small local bar/club a week before Kill Em All came out. They were the opener and played the upcoming album from front to back. It was jaw dropping. In a full circle moment my younger son just finished his freshman year at Virginia Tech. The football team enters the stadium to Enter Sandman and the crowd goes nuts. It's a big thing at the school to the point that they play Sandman at commencement. Even better, Metallica played at VT along with Pantera and Suicidal Tendencies this spring and it was my sons first concert. Good times.
