Tyler Dunne's piece on Caleb Williams is DAMNING
GunnerBill replied to estro613's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sure. I just don't think he was interested in speaking to anyone who disagrees with his narrative. And when you think about the number of people let go from the Bears over the past 12 months: from coaches, to support staff, to players, to personnel guys... it wouldn't be difficult to find 32 people with axes to grind. Again I am not doubting that his sources are honestly sharing their truth of what happened and what it felt like. I am doubting that is a fully rounded view of what went on in Chicago last year. -

He has a ton a sources he is relying on. I am not doubting any of those sources are genuine. I am doubting that he was ever looking for dissenting voices though. I agree with @FireChans he starts with his story then works to find the sources who will back that up. -
Absolutely not. Why is it not a viable plan?
-
You're joking, right? This has to be a joke.

Seems kinda shaky having a 41-year old kicking off under the new rules. I wonder if they would consider having Ray Davis practice kicking off…if he could do it well enough, then you’d have another big, fast player on the field instead of an old, slow guy who would not want to even try to tackle anyone.

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse
Alphadawg7 replied to Bills Costa Rica's topic in The Stadium Wall
There was never a single moment where Worthy was the correct pick for the Bills and their needs. Still true now, just as it was true on draft night. It’s wild this is even still discussed. PS - Keon was on pace for a better season than Worthy and on pace for 1,000 yards before he got hurt as a rookie. And that was on a spread the ball around offense where he was not a primary target as a rookie. Worthy was a starter the whole season and essentially the 2nd option on that team with Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes. The Bills are a better football team with Keon on it today than if Worthy was on it instead. - Today

It's Kicker. They line up and they kick. Your Kicker's hurt? You bring in a new Kicker. Bass got hurt, we signed Prater. Why do you need to plan ahead beyond that? It's not like he needs to learn a playbook or develop chemistry with other positions. As for why they didn't sign Prater until now, it's pretty obvious that there was either a reaggravation and/or they thought the injury wasn't as bad as it was. The plan was for him to be ready to roll Week 1. They even had him kick in the last Pre-Season game. Obviously, something changed and their plans changed and they decided to shut it down. Point remains the same though. What's it matter if Prater was here earlier or when we got him? The job remains the same. He kicks off a tee on Kickoffs, he lines up and kicks field goals and extra points. I don't see his performance being better or worse coming in now vs. then.

I want to win this one. I will be sad if we don't. I'm not going to take any stock into a week 1 game against a team that is on our level though. I just hope we don't get blown out again like the last regular season against them. -

Not sure if you saw it but there was a spitting penalty near the end that gave the Bulls the boost they needed. If they can knock of Miami next week it will be like some bizarre axis tilted somewhere.

https://www.countyoffice.org/property-record-5360-williams-ave-west-valley-ny-14171-530/ The encounter occurred at the end of Williams Ave near the tracks the same side as the last house marked on the map. The house marked belonged to another NFS engineer, Hadley Shafner back in the 1960's. Our old house was across the street 4th house up counting from the Left. https://www.google.com/maps/place/5360+Williams+Ave,+West+Valley,+NY+14171/@42.416337,-78.60958,238m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x89d259ab13db9663:0xc5932cb4e305bbd3!8m2!3d42.4159618!4d-78.6096323!16s%2Fg%2F11gmft_nrb?hl=en-US&entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI1MDkwMy4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D On the 2nd map If you follow 86 out and take a right on Rock Springs you will see how close Nuclear Fuel Services is to the encounter. Tyler Dunne's piece on Caleb Williams is DAMNING
Mikie2times replied to estro613's topic in The Stadium Wall
How many unnecessarily glowing pieces have been written about Caleb Williams? The same for McD or anybody else in his cross hairs. The balance is the complete saturation of positive news angles for most of the people he is writing about. Not that Caleb hasn't had some critical pieces, especially of late, as has McD. But take his "hit piece" on McD. People actually DO feel that way about him. That is the case. Other people don't feel that way about him. We read those articles all the time. The actual truth is probably somewhere between these stories. I don't believe the truth is just the the droves of news that is all but Buffalo Bill sponsored content. Somebody SHOULD be writing about the other side because it gets as closer to what is real. I can't believe either the exceptionally glowing or the exceptionally negative. Nothing is ever so black and white and the reader should understand as much. So I don't mind his content. It actually gives balance in my opinion. -
