Nice Article on President Failure

The side effect issues with GLP-1s are even more notable than those of the Covid vaccines. About 75 percent of people have to stop taking them by the two year mark (many stop much earlier) due to the bad side effects. But sure, link another study! -
Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 3
HappyDays replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I just can't bring myself to care about his run defense, especially in a rookie season where he is going to have a specialized rotational role. Put him next to Oliver on 3rd downs or late in games in obvious passing situations and just let him penetrate. I understand he was going against backup OL but he was obviously way too much to handle for whichever unfortunate soul he was matched up against. On his run defense - He gets washed down the line when he stands up too tall off the snap. This was a known problem during his time at Kentucky and he needs to continue working on it to become a 3 down player. I did notice at least some progress last night though. He had a couple dominant run stuffs where he kept his pads low and that leverage allowed him to easily swat aside his blocker and get into the backfield almost immediately. He's been shockingly bad this preseason. I know he was nothing to write home about in his rookie season but he never looked this bad. Not only was he on the field with the Nelson Ceasars of the defensive line, he was going against the Nelson Caesar version of offensive linemen and was getting stonewalled on every snap. I know the Bills asked him to change his weight and try to become a more natural 1T, and that experiment has just flat out failed. My one slight concern with trading him would be that some other team will get him back to a 3T body and he'll eventually develop into a good player. But I just don't see how he fits into the long term plans here. I'll throw Ogunjobi out as another player that has seriously underwhelmed me this preseason. He's been playing 3T next to Carter almost exclusively if my eyes don't deceive me, and he just isn't getting any kind of push at all. Looks like yet another classic Beane bust of a DL signing - a 30+ year old who has declined in recent years but we for some reason hand him a legit contract. Because of void years he even costs $2.57M against the cap in 2026, and will still be haunting the cap table in 2027 and 2028! Beane really just can't help himself with these players. I was so proud of him for restraining himself but he had to go and spoil it on the last meaningful day of preseason. The man needs to get himself a sponsor and start attending meetings. On DTs in general - We're in a weird spot with this position. It's kind of like the WR conversation where we joke about having nothing but slot players, except here it is all 3Ts. Does Daquan Jones even have a comparable backup on this roster? Zion Logue is the only player that jumps out which is crazy to say out loud. Does he have a chance of making it if we trade Carter? -
Joe Marino’s All 22 from Bucs preseason game

Gotta give Shavers a shot. He earned it and we need to see him against 1st stringers getting targets from Allen. -
😂😂😂😂😂 Sure it is.

You might be right, but it seems to me that it has more to do with McDermott's temperament. He's willing to roll the dice on offense, but he's always been as conservative as a cat on defense, his supposed bailiwick. To be fair, his approach does get it done (although what approach wouldn't when you have the highest-scoring offense in the league), but in the playoffs, it's akin to waving the white flag. He might as well cup his hands and yell over to Reid, "hey, Andy! I'll let you score at will, but keep it under 32 points this year, ok?"

Good Night / Bad Night - Pre-season game 3

His decisiveness and timing were noticably better but it's such a small sample size I can't really say more than that. Better than a bad performance though. Wrt Shavers and special teams, he was an ace in college. I am really interested to see what he would look like as a core teamer during the regular season (i.e., not splitting reps all off-season) -
Thanks for sharing what keeps you up at night.

I thought Cole was fine this week. He didn't stand out but no mistakes that were immediately noticeable. -
To the extent I'm optimistic the Bills go all the way this year, I think it will depend on Allen taking it up still another notch in order to overcome the continuing deficiencies of his head coach in the playoffs. I suspect he knows that. As I've said elsewhere, I'm not confident McDermott could go all the way with any roster in the league. He's a deer in the headlights when he faces KC, shocked--shocked!--that his bend-don't-break defense breaks when it matters most, even though it has happened time after time after time after time. If this team finally reach the Super Bowl, it will be despite McDermott, not because of him.

From Sal Capaccio (WGR550): “Been asked several times for the scenario if Tre’Davious White is out any length of time/into the regular season. Here are my thoughts: If they’re confident Tre can play Wk 1, I think Ja’Marcus Ingram makes the roster over Dane Jackson because Ingram offers more versatility. He can play outside, nickel, and dime safety. If White is going to be out a significant length of time, I think Jackson gets a spot on the roster. That doesn’t mean it would be for Ingram, specifically. It could be for him or someone else at another position. It could also lead to Tre being on IR/Return and open a spot, anyway. If White might miss a couple weeks, I think Ingram still makes the roster over Jackson, and then Jackson can be elevated from the PS for a couple games.”

Man, get over yourself. You’re living in one of the greatest eras of Bills history and this is what you write about? 6 straight 10+ win seasons and 5 division titles? To answer your question? I don’t know why you’re here.
