  1. Past hour
  2. Meanwhile Mahomie was crying for penalties all game long today.
  3. I really think this is a possible special wr. I do remember reading he was highly recruited but looking at his highlights and it's extremely similar to Stallworth. I know it's a lofty comparison but yesterday was different. Idk I'm probably wrong but I think there's definitely something there. His confidence is obvious. He's got that long lanky stride like Stallworth, but he's quick enough in short areas to create all kinds of problems for dbs. I'm excited Go bills!
  4. We need to win this one to keep pace. They have a stout D but it’s beatable. It’s a Thursday game which throws a wrinkle in it. Always tough to play on Thursday.
  5. Just realized that I didn’t notice Benford in a bad way during the game so that’s improvement.
  6. 5 straight losses in Houston, last win there in 2006.
  7. Unless I'm missing something his profile picture has always been black so I wouldn't read too much into it. What we should focus on is we took him on as somewhat of a project and I don't think he has the maturity or work ethic to ever be anything more than a WR4/practice squad player.
  8. FAVORED doesn't mean a thing! They get FAVORED because of their recent reputation and success. Anyone who looks closely at their PEE-WEE defense will see the big p[picture.
  9. You’re right but they still put up 488 total yards on offense from 11 drives to San Fran’s 281 from 12... 2 bad throws that turned into INTs chasing the game, one trying to score at the end of the half and the other a late throw when he was scrambling to his right. Cardinals defense was abysmal. Not saying they would have won if it were better but the 9ers did whatever they wanted for most, if not all of the game. Texans defense is legit. Steelers defense has shown the capability to be top tier. Patriots still look competent even though they’ve tapered off from the first half of the year. Browns, nothing needs to be said. Eagles defense hitting their stride. Shut down an elite offense. That leaves the Jets who have been hit or miss and the Bengals who have been putrid. A backup on any of those 5 teams listed shouldn’t be classed as a cakewalk. I heard the Saints, Patriots, Falcons and Dolphins were going to be wins. Borderline sure things. We lost 3 of them and someone found our way to close out the Saints game. It’s a team effort. To boot, those same 5 teams have shown a very successful capability of running the ball for most or portions of the season.
  10. Some thoughts: On #1 - nobody wants Josh to be a glorified game manager. But the reality is this time runs it better than it passes it for the most part. That is because our weapons in the pass game struggle getting open. That is a bad Buccs secondary we played today and so unlike other games when Brady dialled up the deep shots, particularly on play action Josh went deep rather than checking down which he has been doing. I think he checked down once to Cook over the middle. Every other shot play he threw deep. He hasn't been doing that because guys haven't been open and I think Josh has been a bit safe in challenging tight windows. On #2 agree nobody here is a featured peice. I think running out of 11 occasionally to keep teams honest isn't the worst call but the Bills run it best in big personnel. They need to get out of the pitch obsession and get back to the trap and off tackle runs. When they ran some traps in the 4th Quarter Cook was back to churning out 5 plus most carries. On #3.... it's missing On #4 agree the D can't hold people. The 3rd down defense was a step back yesterday but partly because they lost too many 1st and 2nd downs. Generally since McD took over playcalling it has been much improved on 3rd down. Let's hope they get back to that next week. On #5 I don't understand but sure 😂. On a serious note - I have always thought Josh is better when the ball is in his hand, he is high volume passing and can get intona rhythm. That said last year he won MVP in a more balanced offense. I do think the last few weeks other than when laser focussed vs the Chiefs he has looked a bit lazy in his fundamentals as a lower volume passer. So there is something finding an appropriate balance.
  11. the only thing I’d say to this, and I mostly agree, is that Beane isn’t constructing and drafting guys in a vacuum. McD has a lot of input. Maybe not so much on specific players but at least on team positional needs and direction. I’m not even mad when they put all these pieces into defense. What I’m actually mad about is that it isn’t working out. Either the players suck or if they are good they get injured. That’s what actually makes me mad. also mad that they have had opportunities to get better receivers but he fails to close the deal and we end up with all mediocre players. Josh needs a stud on the outside.
  12. OP's post is nice. Our defense better get stops on 3rd downs somehow to make Josh Allen's genius miracle worker stuff mean anything.
  13. I don’t think you are crazy. People always just go with what’s happened in the past but… that’s only true until it isn’t. Chiefs had a great run. Will probably do well again at some point but I think this year, they aren’t going to make it. Too many teams catching up to them.
  14. Ps "Sunday marked Allen’s second career game with 3-plus passing TDs and three rush scores. The only other player to do so was Otto Graham in the 1954 NFL Championship Game." One guy in the history of the NFL did it, and now Josh did it twice. Think about that. The crazy thing is, Josh is such a nice guy that he accepts it when the coaches try to turn him into a practice squad QB handing off and feeding Keon Coleman and Curtis Samuel. He just says, “okay, coach” and tries his best. We love that Josh is a cool and good, but the coaches gotta recognize they have a Marvel character playing QB, not Clark Kent.
  15. Impressive, OP… what does your crystal ball say about the Bills?
  16. Today
  17. Rodgers broke his wrist in his non throwing hand. He's been telling people he won't be out long. Josh broke his wrist in his non throwing hand last season and didn't miss a game. And on Joe Burrow:
  18. Good catch. Sorry about that, I just assumed that site would've updated. That said, our boy Josh now stands at 28,890. I love you, Josh Allen!
  19. Zero, you probably know I like and respect you, because you post as a proud KC fan, and don’t hide it, yet try to balance loving you’re team with trying to respect Bills fans. That takes class to manage that balance. As far as the Chiefs, it’s unknowable. Mahomes is unpredictable. Reid is a HOF coach, and people here don’t like the Chiefs because you keep beating us in the playoffs. It’s frustrating, but I’m not counting you guys out. With 5 losses it’s likely you’re a wildcard, but that doesn’t mean you’re out. You’re not a Pats fan, or a Fish fan. People should give you a break. So for your sake, I hope the Chiefs get some consecutive wins under your belt, but make no mistake, if we face each other in the playoffs, I want to destroy you guys. With that said, I hope you guys get it done. There is nothing wrong with your fans, or your team.
  20. I think we can outgun them on offense but I think they are a bit more balanced on defense. Wide open offense though, not that dunk dunk ball control crap. I expect to beat them this time around and split the series.
  21. The Bills will be favored in at least two out of three.
  22. Last night the real Josh came out from all the low-positive, gloomy vibes of this season. The game became about him slinging it and creating and guess what: we scored 44 points. Yeah, he had two picks that turned into 3 points for TB. So what? Few points: 1) The offense we tried to play for most of the season, featuring Brady's play designs for 5 yard patterns, was boring and awful. Turning Josh into a glorified game manager is moronic and frankly depressing. Today we let Josh and to a lesser extent Cook get going, instead focusing on how to unlock Coleman by force-feeding him. Today Brady also got in a rhythm finally and made some great timely play calls. 2) No one on this offense needs the ball unless they get open... even Kincaid should not be featured. It just distracts Brady trying to serve each player their own special plays. Feature JOSH ALLEN with a hefty side of James Cook, our best most explosive players by far. Mix in downfield passes and don't forget Shake-n-bake Shakir down there. Forget the low upside plays, like WR screens--it doesn't give us numbers when the WR who would be blocking for the RB is getting the ball. Run out of the 11 formation more, so we threaten the pass, instead of letting teams know we are running with Hawes and Gilliam on the field. 4) More than the score, the game and the team felt better emotionally than it has for weeks. We left it on the field and won a game-of-the-week shootout. Our defense is not capable of holding teams, but we can get some timely turnovers and win this way much easier than playing ball control as if we had a run defense. The biggest thing is we need to clamp down on D on third-and-long--it's about making big plays and getting our O back the ball. 5) McDermott better get some beta blockers, cause this is who we need to be. This is what gives us our swagger, what makes us unique. We have the NFL's equivalent of Paul Bunyan, and a damn good running back. Let them rip. GO BILLS!
  23. Allen may be the only player in NFL history that can score 6 TDs but still feel like he left a ton of plays out on the field. Insane I said in the "Predict the Score" thread that we would win big but still have to go through another week of not knowing what we have in our team. 2 score win and I just have no confidence in our defense. That being said, the defense made the stops late to lock up the game. So, I don't know... ... Superbowl, I guess.
  24. This didn't change my perception that this isn't a Super Bowl team one iota. It's always fun to get a win. But this was a Tampa Bay team that lost their WR1 in Mike Evans a month ago. Today they were also down Chris Godwin, as well as their star RB Bucky Irving. And they still ran for over 200 yards with an Undrafted Syracuse RB. They still gave up 32 points to a team that beat up. While it was certainly encouraging to see the passing game look better than it has since Week 1 with Gabe Davis interjected, Josh Palmer returning from injury, and Tyrell Shavers getting a bigger role - it's important to know that the Buccaneers have the leagues 24th ranked Pass Defense. They also play their Safeties pretty low, which offers more opportunities deep (as Gabe pointed out Post Game). Long story short, it was good to get the win. But I don't consider the Buccaneers, especially the team they were fielding today, to be a Super Bowl contending team. And it was a battle until the very end. Though I'd love to be wrong, I still don't believe this team is built to actually defeat the leagues best, at their best.
  25. It did early, for sure. Think the offense found some rhythm 2nd half.
  26. A small Jean Genie snuck off to the city Strung out on lasers and slash back plazas And ate all your razors while pullin' the waiters Talking bout Monroe and walkin' on snow white New York's a go-go and everything tastes right Poor little Greene
