  1. Past hour
  2. Niagara Falls has stopped flowing completely twice in recorded history. The first time was in 1848 due to a natural ice jam, and the second was in 1969, when the American Falls were temporarily diverted for engineering studies according to Clifton Hill, Niagara Falls. I remember the 1969 event. we road tripped to see it. The falls turned OFF. Holy cow.
  3. Do people really think Allen needs the reps? He's been the most consistent thing about the team since 2020.
  4. Ill try to find some film for you but there has been quite a few flashes from our DL investments (Landon Jackson much less). TJ sanders did his move from attacking the B gap to getting pressure on the other A gap without there being a stunt. Walker has a great rep from the bears game where he reads the pin down and swims to make the play not be successful.
  5. This is a whimpy team
  6. WR was the top priority in that draft. After taking Coleman, DeJean was off the board when the Bills drafted again. It’s really that simple.
  7. I'm so done with this team.
  8. What's it like from the front of the upper deck? Does it feel close to the field? The current sidelines go back up to 52 rows, the new stadium sideline seats don't go back that far, going off the images it seems that the front upper deck isn't any further back than the last row of the current lower bowl, it's just higher.
  9. Again, I like McD as a speaker for the most part. My beef with him is more about in-game decisions. But he never has the juice that a Dan Campbell has, and I think Campbell is well balanced and doesnt go as far as throwing chairs through windows, but can light a fire. We had issues the entire 2023 season, and it wasnt just because of Dorsey. It started with that Jags game, and lasted all the way through the Bye. McD couldnt wake the team up. And even after the Bye, the Chargers and Pats games were way too close, we let Easton Stick look like a Franchise QB. Between 2022 and 2023 there were so many games that were way too frustrating even tho we won. I'll admit it was better last season. The games were much more fun to watch, and the wins were way more satisfying. So maybe we've turned that corner. 🤞 But what is the story with those guys? "Look how good they are. Isnt that awesome?"? Good players just doing their job is about as exciting and interesting as filming any of us at work all day. There just isnt anything there to publish

  11. I have Solomon on the 53 again. Hes flashed in pass rush and plays ST (contributions that DE don't often make as much). I wouldnt trust him if i think theres any possibility of a run play but like him for his role so far. I do appreciate the overall analysis with regard to their experience. Something to keep an eye on but I think they often gravitate to players with more experience (senior bowl has always been a source of talent for example).
  12. If I could turn back time If I could find a way I'd take back those words that have hurt you And you'd stay
  13. I believe what I said is that it is early, but I would have liked to have seen a glimpse of promise to date I have not. there is certainly a trend bias going on here for myself and many... too many DL investments have ended up poor to average... there is worry that this is the same situation... unrealistic after two games ... of course... but that doesnt mean people are not looking for some kind of a sign that this is different... doesnt mean we are going to get it right away, but boy would it be nice if someone on the top end of our draft flashed and made us go... now this guy... It happens with lots of other teams... but outside of Hancock I am not seeing anything to get me excited... time will tell... I am certainly not calling them busts... or bad picks... simply that my hope was to see them as potential difference makers... I will be very interested to see if they Pop against Tampa... like Cmon man, show me that we got something here to help and develop into the future... Time will tell it always does... Now our year 2 players... Carter, Bishop etc... color me a bit more worried... not using the B word (bad or bust) but a bit more concerned about them...
  14. Amen my brother......its easy to judge, its much harder to exercise empathy and compassion....now back to who among us tried to kill Andy Reid...
  15. I was kind of shocked they didn't draft Cooper DeJean He seemed like a McDermott type player through and through.
  16. Are we capable of doing a mid season trade for a Safety? Every talking head seems to think it’s take half a season to ramp up the ability to play Safety in McDermott’s Defense. Any other position, sure.. but Safety has this extra layer of complexity to it at all times.
  17. How good did you think Terrell Bernard was after his rookie year?
  18. I agree with most of this post, except in 2024, the Bills drafted a good number of players with significant NCAA experience and many in leadership roles on their college teams. I believe the thinking at the time was that these kind of guys would adjust quicker to the NFL and be able to contribute sooner. After the first 2 picks, Beane drafted 5 guys with 4-6 years of college experience ranging between 44-53 games played. I’m not sure that strategy worked so far. Ray Davis has, so far, been the biggest contributor of that group. Ulofoshio and Solomon look like they’ll be gone soon (admittedly they are late rd picks). SVPG is still developing, and Carter seems to already been passed on the depth chart by 2025 draftees. That doesn’t mean Carter or SVPG won’t eventually succeed in NFL, but they aren’t immediate impact players even in a depth role hoped for. I’d also add that this is not a full indictment of the 2024 class. I like Davis, Grable, and still have high hopes for Bishop and especially Coleman. I also still strongly believe that SVPG has a chance to be a starting NFL center. I don’t think people would complain to heavily if we ended up with 3 starters from this class.
  19. All the athletic testing said Bishop was elite. I don’t know if I’ve seen it translate on the field yet. Which tells me it’s processing. He’s not picking things up or diagnosing quick enough.
  20. I am not gonna lie, if we can somehow get out of that contract and get something in return I am about done with Samuel as I fear its gonna be the same old same old... average play and always injured... and i respect Joe B like you said... so lets see... Agree on Moore.. and hey if they can re work a Samuel thing so we get some savings, or at least dont have to account for more if we trade him, I am in...
  21. This is why I think a guy like Jordan Hancock can win the job over Bishop. I think Bishop is much more pigeon-holed into one role. While Hancock is just a "football player" who has the instincts, knowledge, and athleticism to play everywhere and both stack the box and drop back and ball hawk. quotes are quotes tho 🤷‍♂️
  22. My takeaway is now we’re even writing the word “right” that concludes nearly every statement by McD, coaches, some players, and everyone else around this team even its beat reporters. And it’s driving me insane. BB 4 times in that exchange alone, right?
  23. Any thoughts on the homicide free week in our fine capital?
  24. I think the understanding of positional responsibilities and interchangeability -- not to mention scheme and personnel deployment -- among most NFL fans lags quite far behind reality. The old fashioned understanding of strong and free safeties as mentioned here, the differences in responsibility and body type between a 4-3 and 3-4 defensive end (it took a long time for "Edge" to become a common nomenclature for NFL fans, and even then, the Pro Bowl voting still doesn't differentiate between these things), the interchangeability of linebackers in modern defenses, and the common fan perception of a specific and numbered wide receiver depth chart when, in reality, coaches don't think in such terms. Just a few examples of the massive gulf in knowledge and understanding between fans and coaches/players. There are different levels to football knowledge for fans, of course, but just about all of them lag far behind reality. And I include myself in the "there's so much we don't know or outright misperceive" pile, lest anyone think I'm being holier than thou. It's one of the reasons I wish there was more mainstream educational/informed NFL programming. Matchup shows, scheme and positional explanations, etc. That stuff all exists in the amateur blogosphere and sometimes in spaces like SiriusXM radio, but there doesn't seem to be much of a market for it on ESPN or NFLN. Most fans are content not knowing what they don't know.
  25. I was not in KC then, and I told the police that. I also don't know how my cell phone could ping on the tower so close to him at that time. Technology sucks
