  1. Past hour
  2. Thanks to 8 sacks, the inability to control the ball, and 3 turnovers. I’m not excusing the first half defense, just providing perspective. While our defense couldn’t stop their offense in the first half, our offense wasn’t good enough to put up points against their defense the entire game.
  3. Team unprepared, sloppy and uninspired falls at the feet of the HC. Bottom line.
  4. I laughed at this early today, but desperate times...
  5. It's why need daboll. He understood Josh
  6. Oh the window isn't closed on Josh Allen. But the easiest years of his career to win are absolutely gone. Literally. Last year they were still sorta' in it with the weak division etc.. But this year they are officially past that. Unless they find the rare difference making HC and GM combo to help overcome their talent deficiencies and/or find some elite talent to help offset the impending $50M cap hits for their QB........ they are probably going to have to get lucky and clank one in from the rough from here on out.
  7. Yeah you defintely make good points. The fact that they never tried to build this into an offensive machine is a great tragedy of wasted opportunity. When you have Josh, you should not be ball control. It’s just a failure of epic proportions and I place it at the feet of McDermott and Beane. I don’t understand blaming Josh or Brady. This is what this brain trust built and this is what they wanted, and it’s dumb.
  8. You're not going to look perfect when your pass blocking gives up EIGHT sacks on your QB and he's under pressure and hit even more than that. Without taking into account multiple times when he stayed down on the ground. And when your weapons aren't getting open and you have to force throws, playing from behind - as has been the case practically all season. I said it all offseason, even before we saw how poor our pass catching unit would be, that expecting him to be the perfect MVP player he was every single season isn't fair to him. We're now at a point where anything less than perfect is "below average". And that also isn't fair to him. I can't tell you why you should or shouldn't watch the Bills this season. That's up to the person. Personally, i'll always cheer them on every weekend and hope we win. But you have to have literal blind optimism and a ridiculous level of homerism to ignore all the many issues with this team beyond the build of the roster to honestly think we have a shot to win a Super Bowl with this team.
  9. Their elite defense gave up 12 points to our elite quarterback. Our pipsqueak defense gave up 23 to a backup quarterback. The elite defense seems preferable in the nfl.
  10. Or... now, hear me out for a second... this is the only team in the league whose roster he would make because, like the rest of the WR room, he's just NOT THAT GOOD.
  11. Agree 💯 with this. Totally reminds me of Greg Roman Also was hard for Roman to adjust seems like happening with Brady
  12. The players don’t look to be having any fun. Maybe it’s rubbing off on fans.
  13. Do we … not want it? What is the point in saying this if that’s not what he’s implying?
  14. I know that was one season at LSU, and he had Joe Burrow at QB, Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase at WR. Clearly, designing a top passing scheme is not his strength. Like I mentioned a Greg Roman clone.
  15. For all the “This is the best defense in the league” guys, we’ve done the same thing against worse defenses.
  16. Yup, true complimentary football has the O winning some shoot outs when the D struggles and the D dominating a game when the O struggles. Twice this season Allen and the O have exploded to win shootout games against good teams. Not once has the D won a game by dominating an opponent from start to finish.
  17. If complementary means that both sides are league average then you’re correct. Every team has one side of the ball stronger than the other. When you have a generational MVP at QB it’s not difficult to figure out which side of the ball is supposed to carry the Bills. All this whining about the defense and a bad first half when the offense put up 12 whole points, was sacked 8 times, and had 3 turnovers. But it’s not on the offense no matter how well the defense played in the second half. The offense’s performance all game was due to the pressure they were under thanks to a bad defensive first half. I understand.
  18. And that’s why they need to change course. Josh will be fine and has the potential for a really good second half of his career. But he’s in a transition period and he’s becoming a different player. What worked before ain’t working anymore. The team needs a reset and it starts at the top. The “we can all be mediocre cuz Josh will bail us out” concept is no more. McDermott is the definition of mediocre. And that’s fine. He will land on his feet and build the Giants into a playoff contender who can’t win the big game and waste Dart’s career. But we have to move on.
  19. Amen to all of that. There isn't one all-pro on that defense. I dont think there's anybody on D who is even 2nd team AFC. Nobody near that even. The SB years had Bruce, Biscuit, etc. This D has got a bunch of meh guys. Its not in the ball park of a superbowl contending team. Everybody loves to talk offense, but this defense is sub mid. Just no studs at all on that side of the ball. No difference makers.
  20. You can't drive a Bugatti when you don't have an engine Our offense was puttering with stef diggs... So they went ball control Like if Josh threw 60 times today he would have left on a stretcher I don't know how anybody thinks they should open this up to a Bugatti Josh will literally be flatlined.. has to be in offense that can run the ball and work off that this season There's no just going out and throwing it 45 times The offensive system and the players on offense and defense are more of the issue... McDermott is trotting out no names at defense every week and over the hill slow veterans It's not his fault beane paid $80 million dollars to a defensive end who can't get a sack.. 45 million to a middle linebacker who is the size of a safety 15 years ago The cap and how it's managed is 100% the reason the Buffalo Bills are not on top
  21. This was too much for him. Too inexperienced. Too green. This was a playoff game. Playoff atmosphere. Playoff intensity.
  22. WHAT Always do our best to make the playoffs. Always. Gotta get reps and experience. Those 2 things are always a positive. Never a negative.
  23. Throw them open? How does a QB throw a WR open when the defense is running the route for them? You’re asking him to throw interceptions.
  24. If Wildcard is what it takes to be in the playoffs, that fine by me.
