TJ Watt is likely salivating ... The Bills O-Line just played matador with the Texans giving up 8 sacks and our starting RT is now out. Maybe they'll double team Watt with Van Demark and Hawes.
-
also nice when you have one of the least injured rosters in the league.. in fact they may be No. 1 . When you have your top guys, it makes a big difference. Bills had this a few years ago (no injuries of consequence) and it was big.

Maybe Peyton Manning can un-hex them too. -
It must be nice when you have top notch receivers

I'm not saying they should try to lose. I'm just thinking from a future perspective that it's probably better if they do. This team is devoid a talent and bloated with bad contracts. It needs a reset. Be realistic. This team is not winning a superbowl this year. If every player was 100% healthy, it still wouldn't win a superbowl this year. At best this team will win a wildcard game. At worst, they just miss the playoffs and still draft at the bottom of the draft.
-
Oh, ****! One wrong move, and it's a time out charged to Buffalo, so McD can find his contact lens. 🤨
-
They know how to draft in every round, develop their players and have mastered the cap. Their coach and GM combination should be the envy of every team in the league. I am not convinced if Stafford retires they wont still be in the playoff/division champ conversation the very next year.
-
Beane should take note.

Oliver Still Leads Bills in TFL, 2nd in Sacks

I'm going to be honest. I don't give a crap what happened in 2021. That team isn't this team. A lot of people keep dipping into the 2021 bag. Yes, it's a sign anything can happen. But unless this team can miraculously figure out how to: - Get receivers open consistently - Stop a running attack - Rush the passer - Have good solid coaching on both sides of the ball - Play 4 complete quarters - Avoid any further injuries Then this team is sunk. I know the popular rallying cry is supposed to be "As long as we have Josh Allen anything can happen". But that showed several times this year to be false. No more apparent then against the Texans. He can't throw passes to himself. He can't stop the run. And he's making more mental errors this year than he has in a long time. Takes more than an amazing QB to win in the NFL....ask Dan Marino. -
And not a lot of glaring holes to fill on that roster. Will be interesting to see if they attempt to draft Stafford's replacement this year, but with this draft class looking thin at QB, they might wait another year.

Diana Russini in The Athletic - draft and tanking idea
GunnerBill replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea I suppose I differentiate the "we suck" by mid season tank from the more intentional tank from the start. In the Jets position now you should absolutely be trying to lose. -
I'm still shaking my head at that "catch" made by Noah Gray, the guy never had full possession of the ball (don't give me that ball never hit the ground stuff) nor made a football move yet did the refs just give it to him because of the concussion he suffered?

Without Hardman, Samuel and Kincaid (perhaps our best man-beaters or deep ball guys), mesh was the perhaps the only reliable way to get guys who can't seperate (ie the remainder of the WR group) open. Especially against 2 of the best man corners in the league. Not sure Brady had many options. Injuries matter in this league. You can't have half a position group out and expect things to just run as normal. Bills were in real trouble on offense from the get go in this one. But if Gabe gets that second foot in , they win anyway. Funny game this is.
-
I think they are easily the best team in the league.
-
There is no one else who can generate a pass rush. Rousseau has been invisible. Already playing Sanders out of position at DE.

If you truly believe it's rigged, why do you watch?

Last year I thought it couldn't get much worse but this year proved me wrong. It's pretty much been a main contributor to how bad this season has gone. There are other reasons this season sucks but injuries are in the forefront. -
this team just lost to the 21st ranked Offense...that was starting their backup QB.

The Refs and this “rigged” league
Orlando Buffalo replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
The reason I am posting this is I remember a few years back the Lions got screwed on a similar play but they called the player down before completing the catch and therefore the TD did not count. Just consistently inconsistent -
Maybe the best team in the league. 80 million in cap. 2 first round picks. Went all in to win a Super Bowl years ago. Talk about a culture…

The Jets may well get the number one pick in 2026, and they are arguably tanking right now. They traded their two best defensive players and benched their QB. I am not sure Fields is better than Taylor, but he is capable of a big offensive game in one out of every 4-5 games. I wouldn’t say that about Tyrod at this point. Also, circle the date: December 21. That’s this year’s tank bowl, with the Jets traveling to New Orleans.
