  2. Did you hear what Greg had to say? Greg was trying to be nice, but he’s not impressed. The Bills Offense has fundamental flaws that need to be corrected. The NFL is a copycat league. Opponents have been overloading one side, cage rushing, spy in the middle- Josh has no where to go. And he’s taking a beating. And he’s not smiling anymore. Joe Brady had no answers. Josh has been getting hit over and over. No answers from Joe. Bills D gets run over in the first half, Bobby makes adjustments. 2nd half Bills D plays good, just about every game. Joe has yet to make an adjustment. He’s had two weeks- let’s see if Joe has made an adjustment yet.
  3. Brady and the in-game offensive coaching is my concern. So far on the season it’s as follows: vs Ravens: 12, 8 converted to points (5 TD / 3 FG) @ Jets: 11, 6 converted (3 / 3) vs Dolphins: 9, 5 converted (4 TD / 1 FG) vs Saints: 11, 5 converted (4 TD / 1 FG) vs Patriots: 10, 4 converted (3 TD / 1 FG) @ Falcons: 11, 2 converted (2 TD) 64 drives, 30 converted to points. 46% of drives resulted in points. Since Baltimore 22 out of 52 (42%) Since the Saints 6 out of 21 (28%) Last two games have had 3 turnovers each game (one being on downs) Since Baltimore the Bills have had 10 opening half drives and converted 9 of them into points. The exclusion being the fumble in the Patriots game. There’s clearly an in game problem of putting points in the board outside that time period. 13 of 42 drives (30%)… If that continues and the offense continues to sputter it might be best for Brady to go elsewhere.
  4. Yes absolutely that is crazy and never would have happened. He traded back twice and got Keon.
  5. A 10-1 turnover ratio was instrumental in that metric. See what it looks like now that there’s been a regression to the mean?
  6. No teeth has it’s advantages 🤷‍♂️ Except for NFL defenses.
  7. Honestly I’m not sure. I get fed up with McD as much as anyone, but weve had a massively un-talented roster the last few years and we are basically 1-2 plays (each year) from being the best team in the AFC. McD is coaching up this roster.
  8. Tackling Tight coverage Tackling Pursuit angles & Tackling.
  9. Well it’s been too many years and consistency to say it’s luck. It does suck, but K I agree 100%.
  10. The idea that generating turnovers is a means to win football games is a false narrative. It is an unreliable strategy and as you acknowledge, often times has a sense of randomness to it. You cannot rely on this. It is much more important to limit turnovers than it is to try and force them.
  11. Well, we will see tomorrow if the Bills offense can get to scoring 30+ like they did the first four games this season, versus struggling for 3 games in a row. I think there’s some reactionary/panic at the moment because of the two poor showings. I also question how much of this less than dynamic offense is a function of personnel. Brady can only work with the players that Beane gets him, and I’d continue to argue Brady has generally been doing a solid job w the tools he’s been given.
  12. Quality players and a good system is what's missing.
  13. Yeah they wouldn’t last long with the media here. I live in Giants/Jets country, and they absolutely hate Daboll and Joe Schoen
  14. The Fun Fact is I don’t think Brady ever called plays in college or the pros. He has zero experience calling plays before becoming Bills Offensive Coordinator.
  15. The Bills Defense has only forced 5 turnovers in 6 games.....tied for 26th place in the league. If this D was forcing turnovers, it would look like Natalie Portman......when it doesn't force turnovers, it looks like Natalie the toothless cat lady in the park. I know turnovers can be a matter of luck in some cases, but I hope the Bills D put a premium on figuring out ways to force more turnovers during the bye week.....this D will probably not be able to stop teams consistently without them. Thoughts??
  16. Am I crazy to think that since Josh wanted Keon that even if we traded ahead of the Jags last year in the draft that we still would have taken Keon over BTJ? Does that make anyone else sick thinking about it?
  17. Fair question but yes. It’ll be so hard for the Bills to get someone of that caliber you overlook that.
  18. If he’s headed to Blo, I hope the knee is healthy
  19. I really have to wonder whether any of BTJ's problems this year have as much to do with his utilization as with quarterback play. This year the new brain trust in Jax wanted to increase his use in the slot to take advantage of his quickness and ability to separate, and indeed his slot presences have greatly increased. Well y'know the patterns you run from the slot typically attack the short and intermediate parts of the field between the numbers where there are more guys looking to take your head off. So you have to at least consider the possibility that he is limited to the boundaries with, functionally, a more limited route tree. For those wanting to send two firsts for him I would caution that, talented though he is, he's probably not J. Chase or Beckham Jr in his prime. In today's game one of the assignments for great X receivers is to emphasize their quickness and speed. Get the ball in their hands right away and let them take it to the house. Maybe BTJ can't really do that and maybe that's why as a bad scheme fit they want to get rid of him.Sure he can stretch the field (like Cooper could) but you would want your #1 WR to do more than that. As for his availability he is definitely available If the team has indicated that they would "listen to calls". Could well be that they would be amenable to a reasonable commercial deal rather than an overpay. Don't know whether it has anything to do with his troubles this year but if memory serves one of the "negatives" in his pre-draft evaluation was inconsistent motivation ie "not sure he loves football" type deal. Blew hot and cold. I might prefer Shaheed myself. I was concerned about his torn meniscus but he is fully recovered. He has logged the fastest game speed time recorded across the entire league this year - faster than Chase, faster than BTJ. And he has been an all pro in the return game. You'd get a good look and could decide whether to offer him a contract. Sure BTJ comes with an affordable 3+.year contract and fifth year option but let's be sensible that's not a freebie - you have to pay for that.
  20. He’s at 396 while playing basically 6 games (missed most of week 6). He’s on pace for 962 using a 7 game sample size. This is true despite them publicly saying that they need to throw him the ball more. I expect them, coming out of the bye, to throw him the ball more. He’s pretty much on pace right now. 🤣🤣 To be clear, BTJ looks disinterested THIS year not last year when he had almost 1300 yards. Harrison has looked disinterested the whole time and is going to have 1k yards. In terms of drop rate, that’s the most overblown thing in sports. BTJ currently leads NFL WRs in drops. I can’t seem to link it from Fox Sports. Lots of good WRs have drops. Chase is way up on the list since he entered the league. Below are the team stats as well. If MHJ accounted for EVERY CARDINALS DROP it’s roughly 1 per game. 🤣🤣 That’s not something to worry about. https://sports.betmgm.com/en/blog/nfl/nfl-teams-with-most-dropped-passes-this-season-bm10/ Don’t get me wrong, I’d take BTJ in a second. If you’re asking who I think has the better career it’s MHJ.
  21. Greg Cosell is one of the great football minds. He is a master of breaking tape, studying players, and offenses. Go to 5:40 of this, and Cosell breaks down what’s wrong with Brady’s cute system. Bills D is ultra easy to defend, no one is scared
  22. I give him credit too, but I also need to see more because he’s running the same concepts as last year and this is the first time, as an OC, that he needs to counter what’s being done to him. So far, he has time to adjust, but he hasn’t shown that ability to do so yet.
  23. For me, the question at this point is, whether Brady is completely his own man, or does his play calling reflect Sean McDermotts philosophical biases?
  24. Of course I’d love if the offense was never stopped and got a TD on every series. I don’t know what the fun fact of the play calling at LSU or Carolina has to do with anything. He’s calling plays here now and the offense has actually scored a lot of points under his direction, with a lot fewer turnovers than when Dorsey was running the offense. Yea, the last two games haven’t been pretty, but otherwise this offense has scored as many points as any Bills offense ever.
  25. In the 90's I and other teammates would be put right back into full contact after clearly being concussed. Nothing like being yelled at on a monday practice's tackling drills after a friday concussion. Having an adult question your 16-17 year old manood. At least it made the Drill Sergeants in basic training feel like decent humans in comparison.
