  1. Past hour
  2. I can't argue with your perception on ranking the honors. As a counter argument, I'll offer that the "proven performance escalators" teams accepted in the 2020 CBA on rookie contracts involve pro bowl, not all pro (1st or 2nd team). So evidently pro-bowl still means more than all-pro to someone.
  3. Met him as a kid one time when he came to our church in South Buffalo, his sister married a guy from the area.. Regular , nice guy..
  4. I think they've seen what Israel can and is willing to do. They're even calling on SA and Qatar to get Israel to stop bombing them.
  5. Expectations are James Lofton ish.
  6. Marino’s 1st ever start!
  7. Murdering them. LOL!
  8. I mean, I think it depends on who he is replaced with. If he's replaced with Daniel Jones, 6-7 wins. If he's replaced with Joe Burrow, 11-14 wins.
  9. https://www.buffalobills.com/news/bills-remember-two-time-afl-champ-stew-barber-upon-his-passing Chris Brown tells his story
  10. If you saw the interview with Netanyahu among other things (saying Iran was behind the 2 assassination attempts on Trump), he made it sound like Israel either has bunker busters or another way to accomplish it.
  11. No kings but we're going to use social media to censor what people post.
  12. He’s the type of independent that: -Declared Biden mentally fit post-debate and bought in fully on “cheap fakes” -wondered where people were seeing word salad from Kamala -stood up for a clueless Schumer over cheeseburgers -stood up for Karen Bass because she “had only been in office a few weeks” -made fun of the addiction problems of Vance’s mother -repeatedly cracks on how women present themselves or if they’ve had a skin condition along the way (republican women only, of course) Aside from those tells, he’s “fiercely independent”.
  13. I truly can’t believe the Sabres still haven’t made a single assistant coaching change (not counting the S&C coach…). I really thought at bare minimum they’d change out an assistant or two. Every assistant except Appert has been here for multiple years of team regression at this point. WTF have any of these assistants even done to keep their jobs? - The PK and overall team defense were bad yet again under Wilford, and I see little progress from guys like Power, Samuelsson, etc. yet Marty Wilford appears to be back. What defenseman has he helped develop or improve in Buffalo? - The PP was terrible, yet Appert seems to be gaining more power in the org. - They haven’t really developed a goalie the entire time Mike Bales has been here (except for maybe 1/2 a season of UPL playing well) and goaltending has been a yearly issue since Ullmark left but Bales seems safe once again. I don’t get it. Are their standards for winning really that low? Is it an internal budget thing? Or can they just not get any decent assistant coaches to come here (seeing as Ruff is in the last year of his deal now)?
  14. Everyone posting in this thread apparently, including myself who considers it bad juju. Fair comeback. I will say the problem with the "average QB play" trope is that it's very hard to find a backup who can deliver average QB play. Kind of by definition, 16 average QBs are starting around the league on any given Sunday. The ranks of "average QB" serving as backups are thin.
  15. Sorry got to jump in here... I am failing to see the Superbowl thing, so under this theory, Frank Reich was better than Josh at making in to Superbowl's... or Jamie Mueller... or Gale Gilbert...So are we suggesting we take Gale or Jamie over Josh? So I am not sure if you are just busting chops or being a smidge tongue in cheek... If so, you got me good LOL... as I write this long winded response.... 😆 but if you are not... I am not sure of the intent of this comparison.... Like, Jamie Mueller or Frank Riech or Gale Gilbert should be lauded for their ability to make Super Bowls... ? I guess ... Not sure how this is an assessment of their abilities... or that makes them better than Josh at anything... I suppose you could say, "You said that Kelly was better than Josh at nothing... but I know for a fact he could kick is a$$ in a beer drinking contest...." Ok you got me... that's kinda where I sit... fact, but not a relevant one in comparing two players... Now, If you are saying that it was an actual ability or skill that Kelly had that was better than Josh other than just being situationally fortunate... I am not sure what that skill was... like some clutch gene or something? If so, I would say that is highly debatable... Now If it was just simply situational I am not sure that this makes Kelly better than Josh... if you are arguing Kelly was blessed with more talent on his team in a weaker conference thus made it to more Superbowl's, I wouldn't call this better I would call this fortunate...If you are saying it was some performance or leadership intangible that Kelly had that propelled himself and his team to Super Bowls (remember Frank Riech propelled us as well) ... You are essentially saying that if you magically switched QBs... with eras that Kelly would do better with this team than Josh would do with the 90s teams.... if you are saying that, you are effectively saying that Kelly is better at much more than going to Super Bowls than Josh... BTW Welcome to the board !
  16. Just an idea...
  17. Yea if the replacement is Trubisky they win somewhere between 5 and 7 IMO. If it is league average Quarterback - the Geno Smith Test - it's 8 to 10 If only there was a thread where these opinions could be posted.....
  18. You keep trying to put you spin on it. It makes for good comedy.
  19. It will change for Josh when the defense finally shows up in a big spot in the playoffs. Those Bills teams Kelly was on had a game changer on defense with #78. This Bills defense has nobody that is remotely close to being as dominant as #78 was.
  20. Yup. Just like I don't accept "Trump made me break into the Capitol." You know that "personal responsibility" thing Thurmal was talking about... How much do you want to bet? Yes, very odd they'd release the "hit list" but not the manifesto. Is this guy trans or something?
  21. We are all entitled to our own opinions 🤷‍♂️
  22. I'd just like to point out that McDermott managed 9 wins and a playoff appearance with Tyrod Taylor at QB, starting Shaq Lawson, Adolphus Washington, Preston Brown, Ramon Humber, and EJ Gaines on D. We did run the hell out of LeSean McCoy though and the OL was good.
  23. What did the "no kings" protests actually accomplish? Like are there really people on the fence that they were convinced to side with the left after the protests? Other then the left trying to take a victory lap for this protest, what did it accomplish? To me, it seems like it was more of rally for the far left. Again, what was accomplished?
  24. Yea agreed - that was the point I was trying to make with Bernard. The Bills love him because he is in every way reliable. He lines up correctly, he gets others lined up correctly and he is assignment sound. He is a leader and a mature professional off the field. There were excuses for the regression in 2024, and even on 2024 form I'm not arguing Bernard was a problem or a weak link or anything.... I'm just saying for me to like the contract long term there needs to be some more of the 2023 playmaking. On pro bowls vs all pros I get ya but to me I think 1st team all pro comes first, then 2nd team all pro and then pro bowler.
