After the SB loss to the Giants, the consolation was thinking “this team is way too talented not to win a SB”. The 1990 Bills should have won it all that year. Thoroughly out coached in the SB. But next year, ran into a really, really good Redskins team. Redskins were better. After that, the post Hershel Walker Cowboys. Cowboys were better. I always wondered how it would have played out if we had traded for Charles Haley and if he and Bruce Smith were rushing the passer instead of Haley going to the Cowboys. Maybe we end up winning one. Of course, that was pre-salary cap and Ralph was cheap.

It's absolutely Mcdermott. He's the boss. He picked Brady because Brady is giving him what he wants. This is like buying the world record setting sniper rifle and reassembling it to make sure your kids can play with it in the backyard without shooting their eye out. McDermott wanted a balanced attack that minimizes turnovers so his lousy defense can spend less time on the field being lousy. This is what you get. Another year of not good enough. Getting absolutely more and more pissed that we are flushing Allen's prime down the toilet with Dick Jauron Jr at the helm. Of course the Sabres owner will just stand there with this deer in the headlights look on his grill just watching us descend back into mediocrity. This same clown show will be back with a different Brady clone that is terrified of its own shadow and will do whatever Dick Jr wants them to do. Which is run, screen pass, mesh, punt.

Stroud won't get kings random type money. He'll get Daniel Jones type money. Question is what Houston does with rest of money.

Yeah the one thing that I think will be cool about it is I heard they are using the real names and locations of WNY landmarks featured in the movie(Bar-Bill, Viddlers etc) I know it's going to be a typical cheesy Hallmark movie but will be nice to see WNY get some shine

We've been through all this before. Remember 2023 when the Bills were 6-6 after that crushing loss in Philadelphia. The problem is that the regular season means little to many fans now. Win the Division, so what? When only a SB appearance--at a minimum-- is acceptable, then anything that suggests we won't meet that lofty goal means the team and all its management and players absolutely suck. Lots of fan bases would give their left nut to have a team like the Bills. So just let the season ride out, we are 7-4 and have an 87% chance of making the playoffs. In the playoffs anything can and has happened. It is hard to believe that after a loss like Thursday. Other teams-- particularly in primetime-- get fired up to play the Bills because they are the Bills. Think about that. I mean Houston has a good defense, but they don't fly around like lunatics every game like they did Thursday. Why? it's the Bills in primetime. It is hard for the Bills to match that intensity when playing-- Houston? And despite all that, and all the mistakes, the Bills almost won. So sit back and chill. Forget seeding and all that, and play one game at a time and get to 11-6 and into the tourney. Let's then see what they do, before deciding to get out the pitchforks. Does that work?

I do think Benford has started to come around. He had a very rough start to the year, through five weeks he was one of the worst outside corners in football. But he is playing pretty well now. Not quite hit his 2024 peak form yet, but he is playing better. I still have hope for that contract I think Benford is a really good player. I wasn't particularly a fan of the Bernard or Rousseau deals and while I understood Shakir and am fine with what we paid I am under no illusions about who and what he is. Well Ed Oliver and Hoecht are hurt and I made more effort from my Mexican sun lounger than Joey Bosa on Thursday. Once you take those guys out.... who do we have who rushes the passer well?

I told my wife we have to watch it, even if for no other reason than showing her a little about Buffalo. We only married (remarried as both on our second) and she has yet to travel to Buffalo. She was excited to see it tonight. She loved Hard Knocks, and this a woman raised in China whos first NFL game watched was with me when dating. So I’m a yes.

That’s true, especially the Giants SB. Polian made a point in 30 for 30 how the Bills had an overwhelming winning record against NFC teams. There was a common theme with NFC fans that they were the superior conference even though I took the time once as I counted up SB winners all the way back to GB and it’s basically tied. Anyway, Jimbo was a guy I looked up to in my early 20’s as he was larger than life. I remember when we came back against the Saints, Jim was in the locker room post game and said to the reporters “who here thinks we could come back down by multiple TDs”. “You’re a liar, you’re a liar, etc.”. The reporters all laughed. So I flew up for the game as just moved to Tampa. I’m out with my friends at Cole’s downtown that night. I’m in the bathroom as many 20 somethings do after drinking way too much beer. In comes Jim, and I imitated him, and he started belly laughing. Needless to say, I washed my hands and shook his hand. I told him we love you Jimbo. You’re so Buffalo. He took that as a real compliment. So when I first chose a handle for this page years ago, I chose it after him. He was flawed when single and even cheated on his wife, but he figured it out, and what he did for Hunter was nothing less than amazing.
