  1. Past hour
  2. I'm going to suggest this is at least half the problem. If I look at Moore and Samuel and their last seasons with their previous teams Moore caught 61 for 538 and Samuel 62 for 613. Not great but good. This with Winston/Watson and Sam Howell as their QB's. All significantly inferior to Allen. Did these guys suddenly forget how to get open when coming to the Bills? Or is the Bills passing game scheme and play calling just bad?
  3. I know this will get a mixed reaction at best but let me just say that I'm good with Bernard taking a long time to recover and return.
  4. I blame myself for the two losses as I was travelling overseas for both and didn't wear my usual garb during the games (they were kinda late and I was asleep...). Back home for this one and the garb was back on.
  5. I had my lucky shirt (the won not done 2020 afc east champs one) on with the correct bourbon glass
  6. 1st half Josh was definitely off. 2nd half Josh seemed much more like typical Josh.
  7. "No Kings" sounds like a protest they imported from overseas, and it just didn't translate here. But it did attract a lot of oldies reliving the 60s!
  8. Kincaid with only 12 snaps? Concerned he may have reinjured something with his oblique when he had to reach up high to pull in that 20 yard catch from Allen...
  9. Exactly. We didn't need our gameplan to incorporate a lot of passing. This was a downright demolition of the Panthers! Our passing game will be just fine next week. We haven't seen it yet... it's coming though. We do need Palmer back. We def need/want Palmer back. I was fine with our LB's yesterday! Having depth is a great thing though too.
  10. I suspect teams are waiting until closer to the deadline to drive up the bidding. But fans here will NOT complain if we overpay on this one. He should make a big offer for a BTJ (or any upgrade) that they can't say no to.
  11. How did your actions yesterday help the Bills win? Something you ate? Did you change your shirt at halftime? Kick that annoying friend/relative out of the house? Take your step son to his first Bills game? I’ll start… I was traveling back from Ireland, so I did not see a single minute of the game.
  12. I used to think Beane was a good GM... I'm starting to realize he's actually much more like Kevyn Adams than I ever would have cared to admit.
  13. Interesting to see who returns next week. I expect Bernard and possibly Milano. Do we have a timeline for Palmer?
  14. it was obvious in stadium to see there was no route running to get open. it was some fast breaks and some movement to hit small windows but josh was not biting on it. he was playing it safe and i was fine with it. but the play calls and designs to get guys open needs to improve.
  15. Coleman had a chance to break open after clearing #7 but he's wearing Jaycee Horn like a backpack: You're right that Carolina's zone bottled up the routes on the play side. That's where you need your X to just beat his man and get open. And hey Jaycee Horn is a great player, he's going to win some of these reps against any WR, but the fact we had zero chance of ever beating him (or any other decent outside CB) 1v1 really lowers the margin of error for the rest of the passing offense. The play call and the QB have to be perfect on every play. It's too much to ask.
  16. Two things - Palmer’s snap count was low to begin with. And, importantly, even without him they have to try something downfield. The sweet spot is second and short. They just have to try at some Point to loosen things up. I lied. Theres three things. That scramble drill yesterday where the earth moved a great distance around the sun and nobody got open is precisely why Gabe should be in the roster when healthy. He’s good at that, and he can replace the redundant nothingness of one of Moore/Samuel.
  17. Jonathan Taylor and James Cook have to be the front runners in the MVP race right now. Cook is currently our best player on Offense, and therefore the best player on our entire team.
  18. Lots of ups in a 40-9 blowout but I would give my 3 as follows. PED Twins and Hairston - All 3 had a big impact on the defense. Larry O may not get on the stat sheet but he helped control the LOS. Hoecht was all over the place, looked like he did in pre-season. Hairston added some speed at corner and looked pretty good esp for someone making their first start in the NFL off an injury. James Cook- This team clearly has a second offensive super star (third if you count Dawkins). Not much can be said about how he dominated this game. The rest of the D-line - In addition to Larry O and Hoecht the key players on the D-line Groot, Bosa, Ed (before he got unfortunately hurt), AJE, and Walker were all dominant and it just opened up the rest of the defense. Some downs WR's besides Shakir can't get it going - Slight down because they weren't really needed. Shakir had the big catch that broke the game open and then it was James Cook all day. But this offense still needs a WR on the outside that can win 1 v 1 consistently. Hopefully some teams that lost games this week open up their WR's to trades. Ed Oliver injury - Injuries are the worst part of football. I'm hoping this is another week to week injury in terms of maybe it is a smaller tear or a strain. But mentally I am thinking this is a tear and that's gonna put Ed out until some time in January most likely. Josh still seems a bit off- I'm fully reaching for a down since there's not much to be down about but Josh still didn't seem to be 100% there in terms of his play. He wasn't needed much which is likely the way Joe Brady wanted it. But I think the WR's not being open consistently and Cook dominating the game were making him not needed. But it still seemed like when he was needed he wasn't quite there. Honorable mentions Up- Poyer and Handcock stepping up opposite Cole who also played well. Up- Offensive line just dominated the game. Honestly I think KC is coming in at the right time for the Bills. Fresh off a blowout and a bye week one week removed for the Bills (thus the Bills didn't play a quarter of the game for most starters) and KC is playing Monday and then has to travel to Buffalo. Hoping this is a close game that KC has to at the very least go down to the wire for. But more importantly I think this team mentally needs to "get it up" for a game mid-season. I think this team can kind of coast in the early season and that's why you always see those two game losses every year. Well there's no game better at getting this team in gear than the KC game. The Bills 2023 mad dash towards the division title when down 3 games to Miami was started by that win in KC that year.
  19. He should be in the mix for the all-important "HIMMY" award tonight
  20. I'm pumped for the KC game! We put up 40 points yesterday. I truly don't think Brady was looking to pass the ball downfield. In fact, he help a vanilla gameplan because we didn't need to show anything else. You guys are complaining about the clouds falling - yet we PUT UP FRICKIN 40 points!! The Bills are playing vanilla. We haven't needed it yet. I guess time will tell. We do need Palmer back... he will be our guy.
  21. Kinda even crazier that no other RB on the team is having even close to the success toting the rock behind the same line.
  22. Fair question. It might. He’s always been better when he gets hit early and is “in the game.” It’s almost like a relief pitcher that didn’t throw enough pitches in the bullpen. He takes a batter or 2 to get to where he needs to be.
  23. He's a "bruising back" that dropped about 15 pounds last off-season. Now he's just a guy taking a roster spot. He has poor vision and a lack of burst. Good hands as a receiver, I'll give him that. But he's below JAG level.
  24. this needs to happen by tomorrow afternoon and whoever it is needs to play vs KC and make some impact
  25. OPOY nominee
  26. Shaq Thompson is turning out to be a great signing!
