Agreed on the Chiefs/Lions game. I assumed everyone would be watching that one. I doubt the Saints can win, but the Cheats will falter in time. -

We always have and will continue to need some good ASS (Average Separation Score) Rachel Bush has earned a game day jersey. AFC East so laser focused on the saints/pats game. If saints can get the underdog win, all will feel right in world. SNF chiefs/lions should be good one -

Thanks guys. I agree with some perspectives here, and others not so much. I asked for thoughts so thank you. For those that say he’s not open with only .1, that’s a step or two tops. That’s all an elite QB needs. I laughed as it’s true high school open is not a thing in the NFL. Enjoy a relaxing football day today guys. It’s actually nice when we don’t play on Sunday it’s just a fun day. Since I live in Tampa, I’ll be watching closely the Bucs/49ers. Jags/Seattle also looks good. -

Game week thread - Bills at Falcons MNF

If you want to talk about LaPorta being the better Pro or being healthier, that's fine. But Kincaid was the better Prospect and as such was expected to be the better Pro. It hasn't turned out that way thus far, but that happens more often than not when it comes to the Draft. Could be worse, we could have been the Browns, Jets, or Cardinals and Drafted Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, or Josh Rosen with Josh Allen and/or Lamar Jackson on the board. Or imagine taking Henry Ruggs or Jalen Raegor over Justin Jefferson. Hindsight is always 20/20 when it comes to the Draft. But on the size thing - if you look at pictures of them, they look the same. Because they're practically the same size. Sam LaPorta is 6'3" 245 lbs. Dalton Kincaid is 6'4" 240 lbs. -

Roethlisberger won 2 rings. One was against the Seahawks and one was against the Cardinals. I agree that even if Mahomes is QB1 like Tom Brady was, QB2 and QB3 should still be able to get a ring or two like Manning and Roethlisberger did. That's why it's frustrating that Josh is winning 0 with McBeane. The really sad thing is that Allen might actually be this generation's QB1 and will be shutout by McBeane. -
McBeane are the coach and GM that drafted Josh, the only coach and GM that Josh has ever known in the NFL. It's pure fantasy-land to think that he's been deciding whether they stay or go all these years. I do agree, though, that this may come up in the future. Once Josh is 33 years old and still ringless thanks to McBeane, he might ask for changes and a new voice in the locker room / front office.

Pretty much unanimous that most want the “wing and a prayer” play to stay as is. Definitive drama the league likes. A half the distance penalty on anything over 30 yards be a nice reward. Anything under 15, but traditional it’s not. -

I didn't say that it isn't a thing that teams do. Just that it's not something we're doing in this instance. Even if you don't count Bass and Johnston (as their IR's necessitate replacements who can't be cut unless they're coming back), there were still 4 IR'ed players before Sanders and Hamlin today. Meaning 4 people who are essentially placeholders on the roster, 3 of which wouldn't have been on it if Hairston, Hoecht, and Ogunjobi were available. And that doesn't even take into account someone like Brandon Codrington, who is still on the roster but doesn't have a role anymore and is easily moved on. Or players who could potentially get long term injured this week against the Falcons. All this to say that voluntarily moving Sanders and Hamlin off the active roster wasn't necessary. And with Sanders in particular, you wouldn't do that unless you had to. Getting the guys we need to get on was a cake walk before today. So it doesn't make sense that they'd IR Sanders and Hamlin for them. Especially now when we can't even dress any of them. People were saying the same thing about us IR'ing Strong last week. As if we'd voluntarily put ourselves in the position we were in against the Pats, where we had no choice but to stick with him while he was playing maybe the worst game of his life, all the while with Hairston not even close to returning.

Jaxson Dart will absolutely save Daboll’s job this season. It’s just unfortunate they have Russ as long as they did and that Nabers was hurt wasting away with Russ. -

If you watch the league you’ll see lots of other players that your favorite team could have drafted. Every week. -
Yep…just get rid of it. It is not, and never has been, a football play.

I would imagine the feeling is similar in Baltimore and Cincinnati…maybe worse.

DT T.J. Sanders and S Damar Hamlin to Injured Reseve
Richard Noggin replied to BillsFanForever19's topic in The Stadium Wall
While I agree that the Sanders situation seems legit, I must disagree that NFL teams don't engage in "'clever' roster manipulation." There are ways of red-shirting young players without subjecting them to waiver wires or poaching, if they play along. There are injuries that don't necessarily require immediate surgery, so players/teams can choose the rehab route to keep a season alive, but those same injuries could also be candidates for immediate surgery in order to prioritize long term recovery which then entails missing most or all of the current season. Injury settlements stem from occasions when teams and players disagree about how best to manage injuries in the short term, with the teams usually shelving a guy (with eyes on overall roster management) who feels like he can get back in the fold faster. Like so many things in football, it's not black and white much of the time. The pending returns of IR'd and suspended players is undoubtedly influencing some of the team's personnel decisions, but not necessarily in some nefarious way. It's just part of the in-season roster management reality. -
