11/20/2025 Bills @ Texans post game thread
Niagara Dude replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I thought the biggest let down and turning point in the game was after the Davis TD kickoff return. I would have liked to see Babich being more aggressive with heavy blitzes to get a sack and maybe get the ball back to Allen for more points before the half. They instead played prevent and Texans who are not a great offence go down the field and score a TD with 5 secs left Credit to our defence because they played well enough to win in the second half, but that TD hurt and we were chasing the rest of the game -

Yeah they're both playing poorly, I guess the Ravens and Chiefs should fire their entire coaching staffs and GMs respectively? But do they get a pass because.....? -
So thankful! Can you imagine people being really upset with this game if he was carted off? Don’t like to think about it. 31 other QBs would’ve been on the cart.
-
I am both, which is why I didnt vote. Anyway, Pegs not firing McBean, and McBean not firing Brady. My solution is to let Josh call every play on offense. Brady's job is to let Josh know if he sees something up there that Josh can't see. Let Josh do the offensive game planning, set the roster, the whole thing. He's that good. Now move all your coaching talent to defense to fix that mess.

I promise you it is. I have a relationship with someone on the staff in Baltimore. He says their player specifications are absolute. They are interesting because they apply positional value far LESS than many teams. But their specifications on what a D end needs for their scheme, what a corner needs etc are gospel. -
Sorry, but it’s not McD for me as much as Beane and Brady. Terry should force McD to offer at least a rehire of Daboll if he’s willing to take an OC job. Daboll is not getting another HC job soon. McD should also be directed to control the defense, and if he hires a new DC, he’s really there for camp and practice, not calling the defense as that is McD’s job. If he doesn’t like it, fire McD. People blame McD a little too much (just one man’s opinion). Hes turned this team around from the desert for 17 years.

I want to know two things: 1. How'd you get a key to Brandon Beane's office? 2. Why'd he leave his 2026 draft plan on his desk? -

With Hoecht back, assuming he is healthy, I think our pass rush could be okay, but we have a hard time getting anybody behind the sticks because we can't stop the run. It is so annoying! -
i dunno, their play is in line w the record (6.8 expected wins vs 7 wins). the rams, philly, indy, broncos, ne, all squeeked out wins vs bad teams too. we are slightly fewer turnovers or just not sucking so bad on the road from leading the division.

Naw, we cut the 7th rounder he gets picked up by NE and makes probowl in 2 years -
We UNQUESTIONABLY have a talent issue. There is a legit debate that then can take place about whether coaching is maximising what we DO have. And that is fair. But it starts with a talent issue.

I know you could scoff at this sort of stuff, but seeing Dawkins yuck it up with members of the Houston defense literally two seconds after he gave up a penalty that basically cost any chance of winning the game was just completely galling to me. Then in the post game interview all of a sudden he gets sullen, which you could tell is a complete act, and he’s talking about it’s a “game of inches.“ Other words…completely absolving himself of any responsibility. I understand he’s a team leader and he’s been here for a long time and all that. I also understand that this is their job and they’re all friends with all the different players. But that was completely unacceptable from a team with Super Bowl aspirations and his attitude is really becoming an issue.

Is watching the Bills fun for you these days?
LabattBlue replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
How much my fandom has changed over the years(I am in my mid 60’s). If I am at a game, a bar, or house party, I am all in…highs and lows, yelling and screaming. If watching the game at home, wife disinterested, I sit on the couch and just watch…no getting excited or angry. As if I was watching just another NFL game that doesn’t involve the Bills. -

They clearly need a safety to play with Bishop and an LB that can fill. Can't stand watching our LBs get washed - the game has turned to running the ball more. And we are going to get Josh killed if we don't get two wideout options that make sense - one being a clear #1 even if not a "Top 10" guy. Do we have enough to do that if we cut all the dead wood? -

I need you to share the stats on this D and SP teams units to explain your position. You saying it doesn’t make it accurate. -
I don’t want Webb anywhere near the OC position. Last year was the year to choose a new coach. There were several coaches available who would have done a better job with this team in the nine years mcdermott has been the coach he still fails to grasp in game changes when it’s not working. His run first offense with one of the best Quarterbacks in history is a crime. Let’s trade Allen and play trubisky if all he has to do is hand the ball off.
-
Their start wasn’t very hot. They squeaked out wins vs bad teams and have looked a mess the entire year.
-
For example. Remember the constant cycling between 3-4 and 4-3 defenses. If the new hire wants to run a 3-4, we would need to get all new LBs to run that. We have massive cap resources invested in the ones we have now, so that takes a season of suckling to clear the space to rebuild. Then another season for the new players to gel. We used to go through this cycle every three years, where a new coach would want new schemes and the roster they inherited didn't fit their needs. I could go dredge out old threads to prove my point, but I think we can all remember this process if we think back hard enough.

Greg Rousseau has turned out to be a complete slug.

Rousseau has almost always been at a level like the “myth of Lee Evans” drawing coverages away for other receivers or Star Lotuleili “taking up space” for others to make plays -

bingo. i think if he stays healthy and plays at the level he's played at since 2024, he was a decent signing, but not a great one. benford to date has been a worse signing. he's been hurt in each of the last 3 years, and at really bad times. bernard was paid less, but he's literally one more injury away from being a total bust off contract. shakir is a good slot player, but he's just a guy who can play, not a difference maker. i think the real issue is we over pay for solid, and horribly over pay for injured, but lack great players (imo a great player is a player who makes players around him better, we have 2-5 of them on the team, and cook and allen are the only elite ones). i think the edmunds comparison is kinda apt. in retrospect, i wish we signed him and let milano and bernard walk -

Pretty sure they drafted him as an elite QB sack, TFL type of guy as his college stats suggest he was.
