  1. Past hour
  2. They are playing some of the T20 Cricket World Cup in the US and what is less American than cricket?
  3. give him whatever he wants. He is a #1 wr. This is the most important position in all of sports. At least that is what it seems like I read here and on the internet
  4. Goose I think you are overall honest, which is an odd way to start a statement where I expect you to fudge the truth. Tell me where I am wrong with this summation of this case: we have a novel prosecution, based on linking two items where intent is a key component, and the link is a man who has already been convicted of perjury, who while on the stand admits that he committed a worse crime then the one being prosecuted, while stating he feels the defendant did not pay him fully and he wants revenge? With all of that you still believe he is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt?
  5. Yeah I wouldn't be opposed to trading a 4th round pick for a guy and having him immediately put up 1493 yards and 23 TD receptions in his first year with the team and spark the offense to the all time points scored in a season record.
  6. Definitely wise to diversify your portfolio, so things like an Index Fund are never a bad idea...however, over long term, an index fund should honestly never outperform real estate unless you buy really bad real estate. And while putting money into a fund is obviously easier, real estate really isn't hard to manage as you can just hire a property management company to handle it. Avg home value in the US is 242% higher today than 20 years ago. You buy an investment property 20 years ago for $330,000 it would be worth $800,000 today based on the national average. And lets say you carried a $300,000 mortgage at 6%, the balance today would be $157,000 giving you another $143,000 in equitable gains from someone else paying your mortgage. And that is all before you factor any earnings from the rents. Rental prices have also gone way up over 20 years, but if you keep it modest and say over 20 years your avg net monthly gain (Rent - Mtg, Tax, Ins, Repairs, Vacancies, etc) was just $200 a month (and over 20 years it would very likely be much higher than that) that would be another $48,000. Their original $30k investment would be worth $661,000 in 20 years...or basically equivalent of getting a 17.5% annual rate of return. Now compare that to a fund...if that fund averaged an 8% return it would be worth about $140,000 in 20 years. Thats $521,000 less in gains over that time. And as you can see the gap is so wide that you don't even have to have the real estate equal the national averages for it to greatly out perform a fund, and if you buy in an area that outperforms the national average the returns would be even greater. And keep in mind these are athletes we are talking about, so affordability isn't a question and they could buy 10 or 20 of these houses to start. And as they make more money along the way, keep adding more properties to their portfolio as they made more money if the chose. If I was advising these athletes, I would highly encourage them to rent and get their money diversified into both long term real estate holdings and long term securities. They did that, they would still have plenty of money for their lives now and would be building wealth and income for retirement. Once those properties are paid off, the rents are mostly profit, and with the kind of holdings they can have by then they would be looking at tens of thousand, to even well into 6 figures in MONTHLY income for the rest of their lives. But...then there are idiots like Worthy.
  7. According to the Bills web site, Haack had uniform #15. Can't allow that to happen, they had to cut him. The great Jack Kemp can rest in peace. But Browning is wearing 30, which is not a good number for a punter. Someone needs to fix this, pronto.
  8. He did it! His son may have helped
  9. It sounds like Brady's offense is going to be significantly different than last year's. This is what Josh said: “I think it remains to be seen, we’re putting in a lot of new stuff, a lot of different concepts that we typically haven’t ran since I’ve been here, which is very exciting for me. I’m learning a whole new offense, and guys are excited. I think what coach Brady is doing right now is some really good stuff, and our guys are going out there and executing really well, and we’re just trying to learn, grow, and be the best that we can be.” www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/learning-whole-new-offense-has-bills-josh-allen-excited-for-season-ahead/ar-BB1nqeev?ocid=BingNewsSerp
  10. For the record, I'd still like a Randy Moss type of WR on the roster
  11. That's the thing about a straw man..........you made a claim nobody else was refuting and presented it as relevant. As for needing a top 5 TE........except very recently you have the 2021 season SB Rams/Bengals where NEITHER team featured a big name TE. I think your "top 5 TE" argument is a lot like the old belief that you needed a pocket passer to win a SB.......in that it was only an argument because the best QB's at the time were pocket passers. Gronk and Kelce have been attached to GOAT candidates Brady and Mahomes. And it's also an understatement to call them "top 5". They've never not been top 3 when playing and usually 1-2. Their teams have represented their conference 9 times in the last 10 SB's(8 times AFC and 1 time NFC). But Brady didn't need a great TE to win SB's. Four of the 7 he won in his career were without Gronk on the field(including the NE win over Atlanta). You can't separate the player from the position in that argument. Take Gronk and Kelce out of the equation and it's not clear that a stud TE is all that necessary. On the other hand, the proof positive about needing two very good receiving targets is that the names change very often..........but the teams that reach SB's nowadays always have them. Sometimes one of them is a TE. Sometimes not.
  12. I love some of the different words for fight, such as: Fracas Brouhaha Donnybrook
  13. Luca is just obnoxious with the crying. I saw this one clip from the last series where he ran into a guy and baited a foul call. Then, he ran up to him after to try to challenge him like a tough guy. This other dude was just confused. when Luca doesn’t get a call, he cries. When gets fouled and gets the call, he cries about the injustice of being fouled. Then, when someone else cries to the refs, he runs up and complains that they aren’t Teed up. the dude is a great player. Just stop with all the nonsense. People are starting to hate his guts because of this stuff.
  14. My family bought season tickets in 1960 until the 1990's, I watched the "Quarterback Club" that often featured Buster Ramsey going off and the men of the family loved it. Listened to the 1963 Bills - Pats playoff game in a blizzard. Attended my first games at the Rockpile in 1966, both against the Chiefs, both losses, including the the First AFL Championship game to determine who would play the NFL in the World Chapionship. In 1967, the Bills played the Lions in Detroit, first pre - season game against the NFL and weeks later the Eagles came to the Rockpile and it was like a playoff game, sold out stadium, both teams played starters all the way through and Tom Flores and Art Powell (Lamonica Trade) were on fire connecting all night. Late in the third Quarter Flores got hurt and in came Jack Kemp to loud thunderous boo birds. First play he dropped back and launched a 69 yard bomb to Dubenion for a TD turning boo's into a standing ovation. I was priviledged to watch every AFL Team in the Rockpile. I loved the old AFL, so it was a combination of family, friends, the Bills, the AFL and the times that got me hooked. Players were just regular guys back then, they came to our school to play basketball against the faculty and you got to meet them and talk to them. Marty Schottenheimer used to play Ueker at a local tavern and a friend got a lift from John Tracey, it was a community thing. Here I am sixty years later still at it, would not change anything. I've had world wide Bills experiences, some pretty odd. My final thought: 1968, 1970, 1971, 1976, 1977, 1984, 1985 (if needed google those seasons)! We have perrenial playoff team at the moment, remember the saying "Be careful what you ask for, you may get it."
  15. Gene Fstain probably gives bondage bears to kids. If he doesn't that means he's afraid of things that are different than him. A bigot. His rules.
  16. I am currently in Northern Jersey and have been driving around a bit over the past few days. Me and my wife have seen 2 Biden signs and dozens of Trump signs. This decision is going to push anyone who was on the fence to Trump and embolden his fans.
  17. Change My Mind: Tyreek Hill is way more important to the Dolphins success and much more difficult to replace than Tua.
  18. He's getting older and they basically ran him into the ground last year, started having some injuries. Would not be surprised if he continued to have those issues.
  19. Hey now, we have the second best TE from the 2023 NFL draft class. He’s basically Tony Gonzalez 2.0 already, we just need him to be the next Gronk or Kelce. These are reasonable expectations by year 2.
  20. There entire world knows that Haack will be back. The guy is like a homing pigeon
  21. Tyreek Hill should make more money. He is literally the reason that Offense is so scary. They have speed everywhere, but that speed is amplified because you have to focus on Hill first which means you can’t throw as much help to Waddle or the run game, therefore explosive plays elsewhere are only single coverage or light boxes away.
