How good was Ray Davis on KRs Sunday?!!!
Kelly to Allen replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
I heard a rumor he wasn't healthy earlier in the year. He was very impressive. I was very high on the pick -

In other words, you find the laser pointer irresistible... Thus, it is highly effective on the target audience... Allowing Trump to manipulate you like this is not a smart move... -
I’m happy to be eating crow on this. I’ve been screaming to get him out of there but he was really good this week AND had a nice one last week. Kudos to Davis. Happy to be wrong

I feel like lots of good things came out of this game for the offense. Especially good since we need to dictate game plans with our offense to help our run D
-
Dude has a reputation as a fumbler, it sure a hell didn’t take him long to show it here! He’s probably gone sooner than later.

NYSEG vs energy service provider??

This is all valuable information for me, as I'll be turning on electric and gas at the new place in a few weeks. Although I think national grid handles the delivery in Chautaqua -
Talk D? Do we have to?

He was great and he deserves recognition for it.

I’m more concerned about our run defense being wildly inconsistent than I am with it being bad. The bad weeks were really bad: Baltimore 238 NO 189 Atlanta 210 Miami (game 2) 197 TB 202 The other half of our games range from mediocre to decent: Jets 100 Miami (game 1) 130 NE 71 Carolina 114 KC 79 These last 5 average 98.8 yards per game. That would put us as the 8th best run defense on the season. Of course, it may appear we’ve only been able to keep bad rushing teams in check, but that’s not necessarily the case. On the season, for team rushing yards per game, Jets rank 5th, Carolina ranks 9th, and KC is 16th, while Miami and NE are in the bottom half of the standings. Of course, there are always the nuances of statistics. Which team averages are skewed because of one or two big games, which teams had their best rushing game against us and otherwise struggled, etc. As a whole, I take this all as us having the capability to stop the run, or at least contain it to that +/- 100 yard mark. What needs to change to be consistent. Is it the weekly game plan? Is it players missing assignments or overrunning tackles? I don’t have statistics, but to my untrained eye, we seem to be tackling better than recent years. I only say that because there seem to be fewer instances of being frustrated when we have a guy dead to rights and then let them escape for 20 yards… but I could be off on that. Changes are needed for sure, but there’s some evidence that the personnel we have can be effective.

Does Mecole make it to next week?
Goin Breakdown replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Normally we see these clips and say "Josh should have thrown it to..." but in this case I do like that he chucked it to Hardman. It was right there. What it does though is show that now we can stretch the field a bit at times. I hope he's good to go on Thursday. Special teams looked rejuvenated as well. -
That was a very pleasant development. He looked very good out there in that role.
-
The Bills are probably more shorthanded at DE than at tackle. Until they can get another DE on the roster, using Sanders is probably what they'll do. I have to say though, I don't know how much worse their run defense could have been had Jordan Phillips played more snaps

He might get hurt next game getting dressed in the locker room. What a complete waste of a signing. -

Disirregardless, I'm confused -
Yeah, this is kind of what the offense has needed to do all along but in some games waited until the 4th qtr to try going back to the pass and it was too late. Last week there were actually 4 WRs in a spread offense for much of the game. Maybe switching things up would help. I have a sneaking suspicion that we're going to go right back to 12 and 13 personnel. And only go 4 wide occasionally. I could be way off here. They may just continue slinging it. Kincaid is likely out so not really sure. My fear in this game is that this is a D that is the best in the league at pressuring the QB. The Bills offense can be a load if they can find a way to run and pass. That will take the steam out of even the best defense. Don't want to let their D make us one dimensional.

Kirby Jackson replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
My goodness, I’m stunned that there are still Keon truthers out there. Some people get on the lifeboats and some keep playing the violin as the Titanic takes on water. 34 catches on 83 targets is the worst that I’ve ever heard of. He is catching 41% of the balls thrown his way over the equivalent of a season!! I don’t know where you’d find that data but that has to be one of the worst percentages of all-time!! Keon has been targeted, a lot, by the league’s MVP. He has failed miserably based on pretty much all metrics. Why the need to defend him so hard? If we want to look at how much he flourished pre-injury and ignore the last full season, okay. If we decide to ignore the last 17 games he was on pace for 42 catches on 68 targets for 788 yards and 6 TDs. Taking only the best of Keon, you get the 102nd most catches despite being the top option with the league’s best QB. Keon sucks. None of us wanted that to be the case. A lot of us expected it to be the case but it’s been worse than even the most negative on him could have imagined. He entered camp as the number 1 WR. He is a healthy scratch by Thanksgiving so that Gabe Davis and Mecole Hardman could get jerseys. The Bills proceeded to have their best game through the air this season. The best thing for the Bills would be for him to remain in street clothes until his Bills career ends in 4 months. -

I'd show you my contribution to Buff mojo but, apparently photos of t-shirts exceed the 200kb limit 🤣 Anyway, it's an 8bit pic of Bruce Smith from the Tecmo Superbowl game era Waaaaaay luckier than my Tokyo Dome tee
