NFC North

 

Bears back in first place, packers half game back. Lions back 2 games.

bills need to get tied with Pats and pats L to either at jets or hone vs Miami , and bills beat jets.

 

if ravens L next week and bills W then the bills could lose to eagles and it means nothing. If the pats L to jets before bills game, the bills could rest players for the jets game.

Amazingly, NFC North, AFC South and NFC West are still a three-horse race.

 

AFC East, NFC East, AFC West, AFC North and NFC South are a two-horse race probably going into week 18. 

 

That is 19 teams still in playoff race for 16 slots. 

 

The NFL couldn't have asked for a better season....Of course, not having Mahomes and Burrows (and possibly Lamar) in the playoffs will hurt the league but sure is exciting times for the new brigade in Maye, Nix, Young etc

I don’t think that’s true. Jags and Chargers can beat the broncos and Jags can lose to Rivers’ Colts and chargers lose to Texans and we can get 1 seed if we win out and Pats lose to either Jets or Dolphins. Long shot but it can happen

At #2 hosting the Texans. The Bills have the best homefield advantage in football. I will take the Bills playing at home in the playoffs 24-7-365. I don't care who the opponent is.

The problem is that we don't control our own destiny to get the #2 seed.  We need help.  Hope the Dolphins and Ravens come to the party

Ravens game doesn’t matter much…a loss just gives the bills the buffer to lose to the esgles

It would be a major upset if the Broncos lost at KC without Mahomes. Anything is possible but I wouldn't bet on it.

Obviously you take the 2 seed and homefield for 2 rounds.

 

And if we're going to be the wild-card, obviously you take the 5 seed.

 

I can't stress this enough.  If the Bills win even ONE playoff road game this season, it'll be our first time doing that since Jan 1993, lol.  We're not going to all of a sudden win 3 playoff road games.

 

We need at least one game at home, and we need to get that 5 seed.  After that, hopefully a fellow wild-card like the Chargers or Texans are able to win two road games to set up an AFCCG game in Buffalo (or possibly a Divisional game in Buffalo if all three wild-cards win in the wild-card round).

I don't know why some Bills fans never realize this...he wasn't going to hurt us and we needed him to do some damage the rest of the AFC.

That will be big.  

 

 

Division is probably still gone.  Not sure they really care all that much about #5 vs #6 or #7.  Some rest is probably viewed as more important.

If the Bills are going in as a WC which they probably are then they have a good chance to catch the Chargers for the #5 seed if they can run the table. The Chargers' remaining schedule is 

 

at Cowboys

Texans

at Broncos

 

Have to think they lose at least one of these games.

Need to win week 18 and have the dolphins beat the Patriots, then the division is ours...so I would assume the NFL would have both of those games on at the same time (or Patriots/dolphins in the later slot) so we will likely have to play starters to win that game and give ourselves a shot at the division.
