It's called building a fuller roster. Look over our WR and with a straight face that you think that DK Metcalf and all the other WRs combined in Pittsburgh are better than our pool in Buffalo? Cuz you Metcalf and elite talent.

As @Kirby Jackson posted in another thread.

You don’t win because of the gap between Dawson Knox and Quentin Morris. You win because of the gap between George Pickens and Elijah Moore (or even Josh Palmer). Maybe that’s a good way of putting it. The Bills would rather have Knox and Palmer than Pickens and Morris. If you give them 4 players they’ll take the 2nd and 3rd best over the 1st and 4th. I just don’t think that’s a championship plan. That’s how Carolina was built too. They were both fortunate to get MVP QBs. You never trade a dollar for 4 quarters. Beane would trade 10 dollars for 40 quarters if offered.

A fuller roster of B to D level talent isn't winning you a Super Bowl.

That's a good point and seems to be the overall roster building philosophy of Beane (except when wasting draft picks to trade up in the 1st).

Bills seem to believe that if they just stick around long enough eventually the balls will fall their way and they'll win a SB.  Pretty pathetic strategy.

Beane is grabbing for straws. But at least he recognizes that his WRer room isn’t talented enough to support Josh Allen.

I kind of agree with this in the sense that I think Beane and McD are generally very focused on drafting and signing FAs who are "process", i.e., "culture" guys-- good citizens, potential leaders, but not necessarily the best athletes, because they believe they can coach them up to be good/great at their position. I understand the philosophy, but I think there needs to be exceptions made for some key positions.

Palmer was one of the 5 best WRs in the off-season. I'm sick of people commenting on McConkey because he doesn't give us the outside WR we lack.  60% of his snaps are in the slot in LA. What WR got moved at the trade deadline. Jakobi Meyers wooo another slot WR.

I dont care what the Chargers do with him.  Im sick of fans spewing slot WR when he is the same height, weight as Diggs but faster and played better competition in College.

Again I don't mention George Pickens but

I checked the Bills were 7-4 and Cowboys were 5-5-1.  Guess you think Dallas better than us cuz they got CeeDee and Pickens?  Cuz I mean Cowboys put up 200 more yards passing this season than us on 71 more pass attempts so like 20 more yards on about 6 more passes per game. By golly you convinced me nothing.

Good for him.  I also heard he's beginning to recognize OJ might have been guilty.

It will be very intriguing to see his status for this week. If he's a healthy scratch again, then damn.

I felt like they would give him one more chance and somehow get him to have a come to Jesus moment, but I dunno. If he's truly done here then holy hell, I think he might be our new all time bust.

Can he edge out Aaron Maybin?

And if McConkey was such a great outside WR, you would think LA would line him up there and show he could be the next Diggs. But they don't, I wonder why? Cuz he ain't an outside WR. PERIOD!!!

I haven't watched this guy play for a long time. Does he still have anything left?

But they did it in Carolina so they are hell bent to do it here, even though its failing miserably.

I want to give you a laughing emoji so bad, but I can't because its just too damn true.

It's also kinda funny that every move Beane makes at WR now is an indictment of everything he has said and done in the past regarding the need to upgrade. He's eating his own words to some extent, but yeah, would have been great for him to have seen the light much much earlier and to have truly pushed for somebody top tier instead of "oh ***** i've gotta make some kind of move otherwise my QB is gonna end up getting Trent Edwards'd."

My problem is not that he makes mistakes. He later tries to correct them at least. My problem is he keeps making the same one and then waits until its too late to correct them, only to go into the next season where he can make a real correction and then not make it.

Cooks ain't gonna cut it!  Why not just sign Gabe to 53?

He has one more call up. Potentially someone else is going to end up on IR and Beane can sign Gabe then or just waive someone else that is worthless on the roster. It's either that or they aren't getting out of him what they expect to.
