There is a small chance that if one of the losses is Pittsburgh then they miss due to tie breakers, but I don’t think it’s likely. If we can’t go 3-3 the rest of the way we don’t deserve to get in anyway. Yeah, I'm feeling better after seeing the Colts still have to play the Jags and Texans twice. Those AFC South teams are going to be eating into each other's win columns. Good for the rest of us. A win against the Steelers next week will put us in good shape. Edited 8 hours ago by Murdox Quote
BuffaloBaumer Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Next week schedule is even worse than this week. Every single team will win again. The only tossup is Houston @ Indy. We need Indy to win that one. Buffalo is not moving past 6 seed this year and I would take 7 seed right now if offered 1 Quote

We built the team to beat Mahomes that’s all. Our schedule sucks right now. At Pitt, Home to Bengals who have a 10 day rest with Burrows coming back, Pats off a bye 2 Quote

The Bills can certainly get in at 10-7 but it will matter which games they win and require at least some decent fortune in other AFC results. For instance, if the Bills beat PHI/NYJ/CLE but lose to PIT/CIN/NE, they are completely screwed. Quote

Talley56 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago I mentioned this in another thread, but I honestly think next week's game against Pittsburgh might be the most telling as to whether the Bills make the playoffs. Losing to the Steelers, knowing that the Patriots and Eagles are still on the schedule, would put this team severely behind the 8-ball, especially with the Jags, Ravens, Chiefs, and Texans all winning this weekend, combined with the Chargers not losing. But I believe, if they do beat the Steelers, they'll end up getting in. Cincy, Cleveland, and the Jets are all must-wins if the Bills are hoping to get in (possible exception for the Jets if the Bills clinch by week 18 and sit the starters). 1 Quote

After the Jags won tonight, it was the first time that missing the playoffs became a possibility to me. This Pittsburgh game is now huge. I don’t know how the tiebreakers with multiple teams would play out. Quote
Scott7975 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'll go with yes but probably as the last or second last WC spot. Might even have to look for help from somebody to make it. What a shame that the last season of Highmark Stadium won't get a playoff game. Quote

Billz4ever Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'm almost at the point where I hope we don't. I don't want to hear that anything can happen in the playoffs. No, the cream rises to the top in the playoffs. I'd rather save the embarrassment to be honest and get a better draft pick, not that I trust Beane to do anything good with it. Quote

Josh seems to have lost his juice to a degree. Our receiver group is bottom 5 easily. Maybe bottom 3 w the Saints and some other scrub team like the Raiders and Browns. It’s really appalling w such a great QB and RB that we look overwhelmed in so many games. And the defense is a bunch of parts bought at the junk yard. You know how some people try and steal copper wire to sell for money. That fits Brandon Beane. Buying used players w no upside. I have been a fan since the 70’s when I moved to Buffalo New Years 1976. Haven’t lived there in many years. But all 3 of my kids are huge fans even though they have never lived in Buffalo. (They live in Miami and LA. But watch every game. And live and die w the team like their Dad.) Heck my ex wife is a big fan and she grew up in Texas. And my girlfriend is a big fan even though she is from the D and is a big Lions fan too. My mother is 84 and never misses a game. She used to drive down from Toronto w her boyfriend to every game. I bleed the Bills. And I am hurting. I hate McDermott. Don’t think he has the smarts, the moxie or the toughness to lead us to a Championship. My college team is the Michigan Wolverines. I love Sherrone Moore way better than McDermott. We aren’t great this year. But Sherrone has a presence, a plan and a confidence that we will be great again soon. And we will play Ohio State tough next Saturday if not best their ass. Because we have a pride and a toughness that is Michigan. And it should be the Bills too. Quote

Didn't keep them from beating an inferior opponent, unlike this bills, for whom every injury brings in catastrophic systemic failure Quote

Dick_Cheney Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It’s entirely possible getting the 7 seed could work out better than the 5 or 6. It’s too early to tell for anyone. Quote
