Maybe it’s the impending doom feeling that we have a unicorn QB and still find a way to mess it up. Its the whole history of the team, the coach, the GM… When they win, I feel relieved. When they lose, I feel devastated. Any tips? What do you all do to disengage and try to actually enjoy this? No. It’s actually a weird feeling. I just kinda laugh at them anymore. I don’t expect them to win 1 Quote

Avisan Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Just now, GoBills808 said: Or Shanahan is just an excellent HC I mean Garoppolo had very efficient numbers in his time there and looked the part the first couple of seasons, too. Shanahan obviously has some real upsides as an offensive mind but given the relative strength of conference in his time as HC of the 49ers and the overall strength of his roster most years I would view him as more of a Top 10 guy than a Top 3 guy. 1 Quote

When Josh doesn't even play that style of football consistently That's not his style.. Josh is a five-step guy a seven step guy move around the pocket create.. everything about shanahan is literally designed They drafted a quarterback third overall who could not fit into that offense but he had a crazy arm and athleticism like Josh Allen.. was even drafted higher than Josh Allen Now I'm not saying that he should have been better.. but Kyle shanahan was said to have loved him hitched his wagon to him and Mr irrelevant ran his offense better It's not about who's more talented at quarterback it's about who is willing to run his offense which is script and makes it boring to play.. Josh is not a scripted guy People would say we're holding josh back now would be saying it in shanahan's offense too.. it's very scripted and robotic Everybody saying we need to get Josh out of this robotic feeling but that's exactly what Kyle shanahan does Edited 2 hours ago by Buffalo716 1 Quote

But to think the window is closed when Josh has literally 8-9-10 years the windows not over We need to stop giving big contracts to mediocre players.. and get Josh somebody could get open John elway played 17 years before his first Super bowl win.. and he was the Golden boy the guy with the elway cross... 17 years Now I would like one this year but if we want it back to back on Josh's penultimate and last season when he was 37 and 38 that would still be the sweetest thing in the world I am starting to lose faith in the front office but that doesn't mean they can't get people in there to write the ship Oh the window isn't closed on Josh Allen. But the easiest years of his career to win are absolutely gone. Literally. Last year they were still sorta' in it with the weak division etc.. But this year they are officially past that. Unless they find the rare difference making HC and GM combo to help overcome their talent deficiencies and/or find some elite talent to help offset the impending $50M cap hits for their QB........ they are probably going to have to get lucky and clank one in from the rough from here on out. 1 Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago After the AFC championship last year I was officially done with McDermott. Especially after seeing the eagles defense vs the chiefs in the sb....Everything that's happened isn't really that surprising if I'm being honest. I think they could go on a run but man.... I just don't know if they have the horses. The drive right before the half was pathetic. It was absolutely ridiculous.... Seeing a pass rush like tonight is something I have never seen in 9 years under Brandon Beane & McDermott. Allen was bad tonight but there's just no consistency overall. Quote
HappyDays Posted 50 minutes ago Posted 50 minutes ago Sure I still enjoy the games. Watching Allen play is always a treat. I like seeing where young players are at in their development. Occasionally you get a laugh out loud moment like the 4th and 27 conversion. What has happened this year though is the losses have bothered me less and less. The Pats loss is the last one that really ruined my week. The way tonight's game ended would have gutted me as recently as two months ago. Watching it unfold tonight I felt nothing. I've already accepted this isn't a championship season so the rest of the year is just exhibition for me. The next time I feel something will be during a press conference some time in late January. What that feeling is will depend on if that press conference is frontlined by Terry Pegula talking about the difficult decision he's made, or by McDermott and Beane talking their usual crap. 1 Quote
transient Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago It's like watching Beavis and Butthead sitting in a Ferrari revving the ***** out of it while it's in park and then throwing it in reverse and backing into the garage door... I find the absurdity of it all mildly entertaining, but mostly I cringe for the Ferrari. Quote
Buffalo716 Posted 42 minutes ago Posted 42 minutes ago I'm just going to say one last thing while my thoughts are coherent and I'm only on my 7th Jack and Ginger now And I want to say this personally to all the Buffalo Bills fans on this website We're only getting one Josh Allen... I don't take any game for granted.. being a Bills fan is always a roller coaster.. I don't expect it any different even though we have the best player in the world I will never take it for granted and I really hope Josh has loved playing for this city community and fans all over the country I do appreciate every single game I get to watch... I don't know how many more times I'll be able to watch games with My Father So every single one yeah I enjoy and Josh is a warrior 4th and the Grand canyon and Josh hits a hook and lateral... This team still has some magic in it All the old timers remember all the crazy stuff you've seen... All the dramatic flair You really think the bills are winning a Super bowl on a 14 and 3 season where we smoke everybody? Or are we going to go on a run for the ages? Our Super bowl has always been written in the stars that it will be just like the bills history edge of your seat Quote

Even more broadly than just this coming offseason, what I'm interested in is Allen's 30s. That is the stage we enter next year. This coming offseason will either lay the foundation for that stage or it will narrow our window even further. All dependent on the whims of a billionaire. I don't think the team is as far away as some fans think. We still have Allen in his prime, maybe not at his absolute peak but still well near the top of his game. We have some young pieces on defense that have shown promise including an almost completely rebuilt secondary. We just need a coaching staff and a couple legit WRs. That isn't some monumental undertaking to get us to championship level. The Pats were 3-13, they made a couple roster additions and brought in legit coaches and voila they are 9-2 and in firm control of the division. We could have an equally stark turnaround if Pegula does what's necessary. Quote
Aussie Joe Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago When they converted that 4th and 25 or whatever it was …I thought they were going to win … not that they deserved to mind you… It was nice of them to take it to the wire though… not …I would have preferred to lose 35-7 Quote
