TBBills Fan Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Simple question. Which team "won" trade deadline day? I'll allow you to include trades that came in prior to today but during the season as evidence for your "winner" For me, you gotta give it to the Jets. They aren't going anywhere this year or probably next year and here is what they gave up and now have, including their picks They have in just the first two rounds of the next two drafts 2026 draft 2 1st round picks 2 2nd round picks 2027 draft 3 1st round picks 1 2nd round pick. 8 top 64 picks the next 2 drafts already They also got AD Mitchell and Mazzie Smith on cost controlled rookie deals which gives room for growth and time to evaluate Add in their 3rd round picks that's 10 top 100 picks the next 2 years They gave up Sauce and Williams. Williams is a beast Sauce is a bit over rated in my opinion. I don't know about the cap ramifications, but both are on big money deals. That's a ***** ton of ammo which would give a competent front office a ton of options of how they want to build their team. The good news for us, the jets aren't competent, and have stockpiled in the past only to find themselves tearing it down again But from an acquiring assets prospective, the fact they are garbage this year and probably next year means they are gonna have some real valuable ammo to play with I think 2nd place goes to Seattle, one move that will probably really help given all consideration with little given up Dallas not surprising made odd decisions What say you? TBBills Fan Posted 14 hours ago Author Posted 14 hours ago Sellers market indeed. That said, you can buy an amazing sports car but if you don't know how to drive it, it ends up wasted! Just now, KCNC said: Colts definitely overpaid for Sauce Yeah, to me he has always been more name than true elite talent I do wonder how the money is gonna move between the two teams. He just signed a big deal 1 Quote

BuffaloBillsGospel2014 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Jets won 100%, to get 2 1sts for gardner who was struggling and Quinnen Williams is a solid player but hasn't been elite for 2 years now imo so 1 st, 2nd and a former 1st rounder in Mazi Smith was quite a haul for those guys now lets hope they screw up those picks like usual. 1 1 Quote

From Google AI: The New York Jets will incur approximately $19.75 million in dead cap over the next two years from trading Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts. This includes an $8.75 million charge for 2025 and an $11 million charge for 2026. This figure is relatively low because the extension signed in July featured a smaller signing bonus and relied on future option bonuses that now transfer to the Colts. The New York Jets will have $13.24 million in dead cap in 2025 and $9.8 million in dead cap in 2026 from trading Quinnen Williams. This is a result of the remaining prorated signing bonus money from his extension hitting the cap as a result of the trade. So if that's right they take a bit under $22M in dead cap this year and $20.8M in dead cap next year combined. 1 Quote

That's not bad, cleared up by 2028, when a good organization would have the foundation laid 1 Quote
