JP51 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago (edited) Ok... I am still catching my breath.... somehow no matter what I say or rationalize KC ends up being personal for me... just about drove everyone out of the house with my yelling and screaming LOL... here goes... UP Allen - no explanation needed he was a beast Hoecht - played very well in this game, hate he was injured like this... but his simple act of sitting on the bench with his teammates you could tell inspired them... this is a guy you want on your team Hairston - kid made plays, tackles, INT was huge... we needed an infusion like this Down - this one is hard not a lot down on this game... Prater - still got love for the guy... but you just gonna have that kick to put it away... you just have to.. we were fortunate Samuel - took up a roster spot... did pretty much nothing... seems everytime he steps on the field (which is rare cause he is always hurt) he reminds us of what taking 8 Million dollars and setting it on fire looks like Chiefs fans - Left Tampa today for Buffalo.... lots and lots of Bills gear in the Tampa and of Course Buffalo airport... absolutely not one Chiefs shirt, jersey, hat... nothing... talked to the dude at the rental car place he said the same thing... Saw lots pf Chiefs stuff on Friday and Saturday... none today though... cmon man... you still gotta swag out even when you lose.... Edited 6 hours ago by JP51 3 Quote

Prater has been money and the ultimate calming presence for me this season. Heard hes got a calf injury, and it was 49yds, close as hell still. In a post like this, you g2 find a down and its a fair one, but he gets a pass from me for now. Rest up homie, come back better next week! 2 Quote

I dont disagree, I feel much more comfortable with him than Bass... but man, if we dont get that stop... when you got the Chiefs down you gotta stake em... worked out... still have love for him... but we needed that... I also get it was 52 yards with a bit of a crosswind too... Quote
2003Contenders Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Up: Josh: he got his mojo back! Defensive Line Rotation: Here is where everybody ate (Bosa, Epenesa, Hoecht, Groot, Walker). Such a shame about Hoecht's Achilles. Spencer Brown: Remember before the bye, he was either out or compromised in each of the 2 losses. The bye week came at a good time for him, and I think the presence of a healthy Spencer Brown makes a HUGE difference. Down: Bernard: His instincts seemed woefully off yesterday, and it seemed like every time something bad happened, he was seen on the screen! Taron Johnson: He has struggled quite a bit at times this season, and I think his absence yesterday revealed that the team just might be better off with Lewis out there. Trade prospects: It's about 24 hours now until the trading deadline. The "everyone eats" mantra was in full force yesterday with 10 different players recording a reception. Palmer should be returning soon, and Gabe Davis may be making an appearance soon too. Personally, I still love the idea of trying to make a trade for a bona fide deep threat, but is Beane going to feel the same way? Likewise, will the spectacular play of youngsters in the secondary yesterday (Hairston and Bishop, in particular) preclude them from adding reinforcements there as well? 2 Quote

I completely disagree with having Davis play over those 2 guys. Gabe should play because of injuries only, not because of performance. People forget all of the drops, miscommunication, and interceptions that happened on balls targeted to Davis Quote

They're going to have to trade for a DL. It's just nuts. Then next year they are going to have like 100 guys 1 Quote

Wouldn’t a punt all but end the game especially if he pushes it out inside the 20? That way you can keep the clock running until after it gets downed 2 Quote

I can only guess that Cousin Skeeter, as he is prone to do sometimes in high leverage moments, put a bug in McDermott's ear telling him the potential benefits of makin a fg there and the rest is history!! Wouldn’t a punt all but end the game especially if he pushes it out inside the 20? That way you can keep the clock running until after it gets downed They talked about that decision on the morning shows. The win probabilities for all three choices went: Punt: 99.9% win Go for it: 99.3% win Kick FG: 99.2% win So analytics says McD went for the lowest percentage chance, but they were all high percentage chances. I think if he punted there, a lot of us would be bashing him for "playing not to lose". One thing the morning show mentioned that wasnt factored as an option: Josh or Cook taking the snap and running straight back for 65 yards and take a safety. We did something similar in a high school game back when I was playing and it sealed a victory, but we were pinned back on our own 15-20yard line. If Josh/Cook makes it, it probably kills 20 seconds of clock and then you punt to KC with 5-10 seconds left still needing a TD. But if they somehow get tackled at like the 5 or 10 yard line it becomes the worst call in NFL history. Still an interesting option. 1 Quote

That way you can keep the clock running until after it gets downed I think there's plenty of pluses and minuses to either call there and I was fine with the FG attempt. FG attempt: End the game, punt not likely to net much yards (and chance of block), and if miss, still big challenge to score and tie with no timeouts and little time Punt: Burn a bit more clock, might pin deep, small chance gets blocked, don't put the game away by making FG, very tall order to march down field from that deep Edited 5 hours ago by TheWei44 2 Quote

I finally have hope for him. 1 minute ago, TheWei44 said: I think there's plenty of pluses and minuses to either call there and I was fine with the FG attempt. All I can think of is a botched handoff that gets run back to the five and then a TD with no time left and a 2-point conversion. The Joe Pisarcik game, but on steroids. 2 Quote
