he’ll be in there quick

but you do have to make sure he at least has a chance if you know he’s not ready to play nfl football you need to wait

Im totally cool with making sure he’s healthy. Thats not what im meaning. But I dont want to hear a word about any up to speed mental stuff. The draft was in April. The scheme isn’t that complicated. Every teams QB figures it out after 1 series

where are you guys hearing this?

Now we wait to see if he gets rotated in at all. You'd think if they activated him this soon it isn't just to ride the bench all game.

Now that's interesting. What exactly does "expected to play" mean? I'll guess some rotated in snaps but White remaiming the primary starter. That is still a huge surprise considering McDermott has been constantly telling the media that Hairston is way behind on practice reps.

Maybe McDermott has finally reached the point of "throw the young talented players in and let them take their lumps that the fanbase has wanted.

My guess is Hairston plays in a rotation with White to prep him for KC where he’ll need to likely just run with Worthy all day.

Poyer and Bishop on the back end with Hancock in reserve.

I'll happily eat crow for being wrong on this one. This is very uncharacteristic of cautious, conservative Sean McDermott. I saw no chance they'd activate him so quickly.

But this is a very good thing. It moves up the timeline on him eventually taking over for White. I'd still expect an ease in, ramp up process with a limited number of snaps this week that will be increased the next week if he doesn't look overwhelmed.

But, hey, who knows? If they felt comfortable enough from him with what they saw on the Practice field and the meeting rooms to do this, anything's possible.

Hairston needs to start over Tre

Hancock should be in at S since he won’t be in at Nickel

Start Poyer with Hancock and hope you strike gold

I wouldn't be surprised to see that.  Poyer back home in the box.  Hancock plays the free role.  And see what happens.  It's hard for that combo to be worse than Rapp Bishop.

The game day inactives are a big thing every week because we will just undressed important people for absolutely no reason. It’s been the entire McDermott tenure. I don’t understand why he does it. The guy is a first round pick. We are TERRIBLE on defense. It’s cornerback. The position on the field with the least amount of thought….If the guy can play, put him in. Day 0. The literal second he isn’t in pain. You are in and you are starting. It’s truly that simple. 31 other teams wouldn’t even have to answer the question. Why are high picks not even able to get on the field for this dude? Something is wrong.

Do you think they'll show this in an upcoming "Embedded" episode?

Kudos for owning up. That said...

whats the over/under on # of snaps?

I always said he'd return after the bye, the question being the above.

In other words i always thought the question was how much, not when.

That's not going to happen for some time.

They are almost certainly not going to activate him to play this week. The earliest I think you can hope for is next week against the Chiefs. Even then, it wouldn't surprise me if they used all 21 days in the Practice Window before they deemed him ready to see the field.

And *even then*, they aren't just going to throw him in the fire and start him off the jump. The first week he'll be on a limited snap count, that will see a ramp up over the first few weeks, if things go swimmingly after getting his proverbial sea legs under him.

Hairston putting White on the Sidelines won't happen until like Week 11 or Week 12 at the earliest. And only if he's taking to everything well.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmm............
