dorquemada Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago So, here's who we have left. I'm interested in the collective's thoughts around which of these games we'll win. @Carolina - Manhandled Atlanta a few weeks back. Not a good team but seemingly unpredictable. Really no idea on this one. Coming off the bye I have to believe it's a W KC - KC is coming on and we're fading, or that will be the narrative. KC hasn't beat us in a while in regular season but getting some guys back as we're losing more. Calling this an L. Even if the rosters were more or less equal there's a yawning chasm between the capabilities of the coaching staffs. As organizations ultimately reflect their leadership, this becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. @Miami - this is the acid test. If we can't win this time to tank for whatever undersized high motor DL that Beane covets most. Call it a W Tampa - Tampa playing solid ball now. Mayfield finally delivering on his promise. This is an L @Houston - No idea here. They seem to have some of the same problems the bills do, and we havent been good against them. L @Pittsburgh - Again, a team that gives us fits. Rogers will likely feast on our bend then break defense. Cutesy playcalling against the D will go nowhere L Cincinnati - should be a W. They're just in a tough place though we have exactly nobody to cover those WRs. @New England - right now this is a L strait up, but hoping we see a regression to the mean between now and then. Hope is our best strategy! @Cleveland - pretty sure they're running for the busses by this point and we'll be in dire straits needing a W to try to get a wild card spot. Maybe we'll be playing against the legendary Shedeur? Philadelphia - unless the eagles have the top spot locked up and are starting their scrubs, I dont see a win here. Or why not, Allen decides to don the cape and goes all world. W New York Jets - we'll need a win to get a wildcard. Jets are hapless. W Does 10-7 get us a wild card? Not sure it matters because we simply don't have the horses to make noise in January. 1 1 1 Quote
Gregg Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The Eagles seem like the NFC version of the Bills this season. They look "off". The OL isn't as good; Barkley isn't close to what he was last year. The defense isn't as good as last year. They just got smoked by the Giants and even with Dart they still suck. Of course, they did win the Super Bowl last year so if they have an "off" year it's no big deal as opposed to the Bills who can't seem to get over the hump and win a Lombardi. 1 3 Quote

T.E. Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago They've been here before - having weeks at a time where they looked terrible - but what's concerning is that in past seasons when this happened, it was obvious that they were just underachieving. This team, on the other hand, looks like they are just bad. The roster outside of a few guys seems awful. 1 2 Quote

The Panthers have been playing well lately. I would hope this will be one of those games where the Bills win big and the game is over by halftime or 3rd quarter. To be fair the Bills have won many regular season games like that over the years. It wouldn't surprise if this ends up being a close game that goes down to the wire. I don't even want to think about 4-3. Edited 6 hours ago by Gregg Quote

We'll see if Babich can make any kind of adjustments to consistently get pressure. Maybe our PED guys can help 1 Quote
transplantbillsfan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago We go through this lull every freaking year and end up right where we will end up this year. Wake me up in January when we're playing our first playoff game. 1 Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Isn't there a clause somewhere that dictates Carolina must lose to Buffalo? 🤔😁 1 1 Quote

Wake me up in January when we're playing our first playoff game. I am not assuming playoffs. They probably will make it, but NE has an easy schedule and looks ready to challenge the Bills for the AFCE. McDermott is winless on the road in the playoffs so if that first playoff game is being played on WC weekend, then I already know their chances of making it to the Super Bowl are practically zero especially if they have to go to Arrowhead again. Bottom line the Bills need the #1 seed. It can still be there for them, but they need to turn their season around starting with Carolina. Quote
jahnyc Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago It is concerning that Penix is not a good QB and we made him look really good. 1 1 Quote
Billsfanatic8989 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The only "sure" wins I see are Cleveland, Miami, and the Jets. That's not to say they can't beat KC, TB, Pit, or Phi. But I haven't seen anything thus far that gives me confidence they will. Quote
PayDaBill$ Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I don’t think Carolina is a give-me, and Philly I doubt that’s a win especially if we can’t correct what we’ve been seeing. Quote

Not sure it matters because we simply don't have the horses to make noise in January. @Carolina --W. We will confuse their QB, they don't have much in the way of a WR. It generally takes a good WR and RB to beat us, which is hillarious because in a QB centric league, we don't even need a top 10 QB to beat us. KC - L. Only benefit here is that the game is in Buffalo. But we have no one to cover their WRs, Rice will be back. @Miami - W. Miami is totally disfunctional with a prisioner as their HC. They are going to fire McDaniels anyway, why not do it now? Tampa - This is an L. The only hope here is because it's a home game. We have no one to cover their WRs, they have a better 4th WR than we have 2nd WR. If Evans and Godwin are back we might get blown out. @Houston - W. Not sure why/how we lose this game. The team appears to be regressing, but they have the talent, and their DL will abuse our OL since Allen has to hold the ball for a year to find an open guy. I still think we win, but will be close. @Pittsburgh - L. Metcalf will feast on our D. Rodgers will pick us apart. Their RBs aren't bad either. However, their D is suspect, so it should be close. Living in PGH I hate the throught of those guys winning, but I don't see the Bills pulling this out. Cincinnati - Is Burrow back? If so, another L. If not, W. @New England - W. NE is an ascendent team, but will struggle in this game. @Cleveland - W. Cleveland is a total mess. Philadelphia - L. Yeah, not happening. AJ Brown has his best game to date. Oh, so does Barkley. New York Jets - W. But, could be close if Tyrod Taylor gets the start. He would get it to Garret Wilson, who will be roaming free in our secondary. So I have us with 10-11 wins. That's likely enough to get a wildcard, beat some team in the 1st round, lose to KC again, and keep McFranklin's job and repeat this garbage next year. 15 minutes ago, Billsfanatic8989 said: The only "sure" wins I see are Cleveland, Miami, and the Jets. And unlike the Bills ownership, the Eagles want to win and will make the necessary decisions in the offseason if something is amiss (likley not, likely just SB hangover). 1 Quote

If so, those are wins. They only got 14 yesterday. Quote

Obviously 2 in a row makes it way worse. We're making the playoffs. I totally disagree with the notion we need the #1 seed. Your stat about McDermott's playoff road record leaves out the fact that other than 2019 (when we weren't this iteration of the Bills and Josh Allen wasn't yet Elite), every road playoff loss came against the Chiefs. That proves somehow we're doomed on the road against other teams in the playoffs??? Totally disagree. I also think this crowning of NE is really premature. Guys, before the season started looking at our schedule to start the season I think we all would have been happy with 5-1 at the bye. We're one game off that pace. Quote
