LarryMadman Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Short of a Super Bowl run you absolutely can not run this back again. I have a sneaking suspicion Josh is getting irritated or has been there for a while, that it is Ground Hog Day to him, and something new needs to be tried. He'll play the good soldier until he is fed up and he will be the one calling for change. Hopefully he gives TPegs an ultimatum McBeane needs to leave or i'm leaving. Quote
JMM Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I've been a big McDermott supporter, I've watched the Bills for 50 years, so I know just how bad things can get. But...it's time. It's clear we are not going to get over the hump. I'm nervous that the next move might not work out, but with Josh now hitting 30, we have to take the chance. After the season McDermott needs to be fired. 1 Quote
PaoloBillsFanFromItaly Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago McDermott era must end, enough of his defense. 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted 54 minutes ago Posted 54 minutes ago 100% has outstayed his welcome, and his expiration date is long overdue. Everyone can see what is happening here. Getting us into the playoffs doesn't give one a lifetime achievement award. Beane needs to go with him. Total overhaul. 1 Quote
Jay_Fixit Posted 49 minutes ago Posted 49 minutes ago Should have happened 3 years ago. Good motivator. Good defensive coordinator. Likeable guy. GREAT at clapping. Bad head coach. Quote
Luka Posted 43 minutes ago Posted 43 minutes ago He's clearly lost the locker room. A lot of these guys look like they've packed it in for the year. Our start QB committed zero time in the offseason to football. You can tell he did not train, thought he'd made it once he won the MVP and could just stroll out there. He's playing like it's 2018. The rest of them team is playing like it's 2010. 1 1 Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted 39 minutes ago Posted 39 minutes ago IMO, you cannot be scared to move on, worried about who will replace him. That's playing scared. That's McDermott's philosophy, and now it makes sense why people in that headspace want to keep him. People are afraid to lose. McDermott is afraid to lose. You can't live that way. Get busy living or get busy dying...this thing has been fading away for years now. And that seems to be the sentiment. We all pretty much know he sucks, and deep down know he won't win the big game. And the fanbase seems to be split into a group that knows he sucks but is afraid to move on and a group that wants a different voice. Then have your few loyalists who give him cart blanche because he ended the drought. He isn't it, and it will never happen with him. It does not matter who you hire because in this situation, different is better. He's a terrible head coach. Does anyone really, truly, deep down believe that we can win a Super Bowl with this guy at the helm? 1 1 Quote

thenorthremembers Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago I think McDermott is a good head coach. If we fire him I think he has another job quick. He is a better defensive coach then people give him credit for. Beane has handed him a pile of garbage to try and win with this year. With all of that said, with Josh on the verge of turning 30, its time to see what a different regime can get out of him. The team feels old and out of juice. Need some new blood in the organization to see if they can jumpstart it. It could very well be worse but not doing anything feels negligent. 1 Quote
NastyNateSoldiers Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago I would love to see both Mcd and Beane fired but just think Pegs will give them at least 2 more yrs. What I do believe will happen is a major shakeup in the coaching staff both coordinators will be fired and we will hire 2 veteran Coordinators to replace them . Not saying I want these guys but I can see them hiring Mike McCoy and Ron Rivera or McCarthy and Rivera. Daboll won't be hired unless Pegs forces it on Mcd because Josh wants him back. Daboll is definitely the best we could do at OC no doubt about it. Quote

The saddest part is realizing that not only are we never winning a championship with this dick jaroun clone, it's that he probably cost us a couple championships already.
