That is peculiar. Best news on there is the ending to those seasons. 
 

Maybe there’s a “honeymoon” period, class realizes they are on the way to flunking and actually knuckle down to pass the year.

That Houston game was one year ago today and was week 5.

Bills were 3-2 last year and looked much worse in weeks 4-5 then they did last night. Ended up effectively finishing 14-3 (would have beat NE if we needed too) and were a few plays away from making the SB. 

 

I do agree that the Bills have a very good opportunity this year and should make moves if they are available (WR, RB, CB). 

 

It's only Week 5. Thank you for the reminder.

I'm fairly certain that week 5's are where we get a reality check and realize that the media's hype is nothing more than a precursor having to actually play the games to win and not through assumptions.

I commented last night that the worst two games that Josh has had the last two seasons were both against Diggs. I didn't realize at the time that both were week 5 or that the final score of both games was the same. So, does Josh get too wound up to play when Diggs is on the other sideline?

I don’t think many people are concerned about us not having a good record or playoff seed. The concern is mostly that we haven’t seen anything this year to make us think the playoffs will go any differently than they have in previous years.

I will never take the playoffs as a given. Too much can happen.

That’s fine. I’m not saying making the playoffs IS a given just that making the playoffs is not what people are most concerned about right now.

I am every year. Just two years ago, they almost didn't make it. Remember how we had that Sunday night game in Miami that was going to be win and in unless the Jags got dumb and lost to the Titans (they did)? Same thing in 2021. The 13 seconds game doesn't even happen if they don't win out after the loss in Tampa Bay. Remember, the Pats were in first place until we beat them in Highmark in week 16. Now, because we lost last night, we're in a dogfight for the division and there are a bunch of teams in the AFC that are currently winning that could keep the Bills out. It currently looks like the Colts or Jags might take a wildcard spot. Both the Chargers and Broncos are good so we could get two or three teams from that division. Last year, only the Bills made the playoffs from the AFC East. It might be a one-team division again, and last night made that a much tougher path. So yeah, I'm concerned about making the playoffs.

Yeah but it's more fun when you try to find meaning in the randomness.

 

I mean, these were three of the most horrendous regular season games the last three years. There must be something to it!

The Bills season is kinda like a Saturday. Wake up around 7 or 8. Have breakfast, do a few things for a couple of hours, then take a nap around noon. Wake up, and you're fine the rest of the day.

Some times games like these are good motivation for the rest of the year hopefully this one will serve as such !!
