I liked him as a low cost vet option in FA though abd if the Bills had been interested maybe they do it then? Jeffrey Simmons also from the Titans if cap space etc is no blocker. Rapp appears washed up. A safety to pair with Bishop would be helpful 3 1 Quote

On the Bills front, this article would have us acquiring CB Alontae Taylor from the Saints for a 4th, and WR Jakobi Meyers from Vegas for a 4th (although it also has Meyers goign to Arizona for a 4th). It has us trading Dawson Knox to, of all places, Carolina for a 5th. I know nothing about Taylor, but we need CB help, and Meyers would add some boundry juice to the WR room. Don't like losing Knox, but if it clears cap space that's fine. Otherwise I see little reason for the move. Thoughts? Other players on the move in this article I'd like to see the Bills go after include: --DT Simmons; DE Hendrickson; and RB Kamara or Pollard. I think we need to strengthen the interior DL, add a CB, and a backup RB at the deadline. WR would be nice, but as we are scroing 30+ a game, not sure how necessary at this juncture. Could just be me, but the place where I truly think the Bills need help is at safety. 2 Quote

Yeah trading away Josh's best friend and a decent contributor mid season on a superbowl run year would NEVER happen in a million years. Beane isn't an idiot. Hendrickson on a one year deal from Cinci would have to be cap wizardry at its finest, but that's the one that would put us over the top IMO. I would give up some serious draft capital to make that happen, that dude is a pure game changer. 1 Quote
Breakout Squad Posted Thursday at 02:41 AM Posted Thursday at 02:41 AM I know that it’s not easy to bring a new CB in and expect him to perform immediately, but I think the BILLS need some insurance at CB. If Benford gets hurt the secondary is severely compromised. There has to be a veteran CB that could be traded for in the next few weeks from a non-playoff team. Beane traded a 3rd for Cooper. Ship a 2nd rounder for a stud CB to shore up the secondary. Lots of football left and this team should be playing in February. 1 Quote
wppete Posted Thursday at 03:43 AM Posted Thursday at 03:43 AM Makes absolutely no sense to trade Knox for a 5th. Silly idea. Quote
Albany,n.y. Posted Thursday at 04:10 AM Posted Thursday at 04:10 AM My thoughts are these guys at SI have nothing better to do than write nonsense speculative trades to justify a paycheck. I could have a monkey with darts propose trades with the same accuracy...ZERO. Quote

Buffalo Ballin Posted Thursday at 06:47 AM Posted Thursday at 06:47 AM We have to get a younger safety. Rapp is currently 28 years old. He's getting up there in NFL age. 1 Quote

Bill from NYC Posted Thursday at 09:37 AM Posted Thursday at 09:37 AM (edited) It's good that they want us to get a corner but they forgot safety. We need to trade for both positions and grab a couple early in the draft. Edited Thursday at 09:39 AM by Bill from NYC Quote
