twoandfourteen Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago This is NOT a championship-calibre defense. The same issues and concerns are still gaping holes on a defense that “Big Baller” Beane and his "defensive mastermind” head coach have spent many offseasons addressing. This team has a “Trent Edwards is our QB” philosophy and I don’t know how much longer fans are going to put up with it. Beating the 0-2 Dolphins who were on the verge of mailing in the rest of the season should not be the standard of excellence around here. It needs to be “Super Bowl appearance or GTFO”. 4 6 15 1 4 12 5 4 1 Quote

Everyone to sit here and mope because we beat a division rival by 10 points on a short week while holding them to under 250 yards? Nobody is celebrating like we won the Super Bowl, it’s week 3. You play one week at a time, so you get to react to one week at a time. The whole point of this thing is to ***** enjoy every step of the ride. If you want to be a miserable prick, after a win, that’s your prerogative. 4 7 9 20 Quote

What’s very fun is that Greg Rousseau is currently our highest paid defender and our EDGE cornerstone for the foreseeable future and I’m not sure I’ve seen him yet this year. Nothing like another $80M locked in a position that we basically need to address again going into next year. Big baller! 7 2 3 1 1 1 Quote

Every Bills fan sees the team’s weaknesses but some of us know that we’re winning anyway and just need to get a healthy Josh into the playoffs in the 1 seed. 2 Quote

We are playing NFL teams. You expect a Power 4 vs FCS type of result. The Dolphins brought their A-game last night and we still beat them. 3 6 1 Quote

I know you tuned in this week to watch your Dolphins play, but he’s out there every week for the Bills! 1 1 Quote

Most teams would’ve given $120M for play like that 1 3 Quote

The Dolphins were on the verge of mailing it in? Did anyone tell them that? They seemed fired up and ready to play even before the game started. It was week 3. They were never "mailing it in". If anything we saw a desperate team looking to do anything for a win. You know, a win. The only thing that matters. Don't speak on what others will put up with. No one to my knowledge elected you as our representative. I don't care if Josh throws it 60 times or they run it 60 times. I'll take the win and enjoy it 3 2 7 Quote

I guess we’ll have to find out if he can make an impact next year or something, no games left to play! Oh wait, or is that what you and @twoandfourteenthink we “homers” think 😉 Idk, my simple ass is all confused. 1 2 1 Quote
zow2 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I'm not gonna say the Bills mailed that one in. but I feel like they have a recipe for now. Run the ball with our very good Oline, while keeping Allen out of harms way. Josh took no chances last night on scrambles or throwing the ball downfield. The D is going to play that soft zone and make teams go 10-12 mistake-free plays to get down the field. 1 3 Quote

Oh no, the 15th (and dropping) highest paid defensive end in football who was playing on a line cycling rookies and without its best player didn't dominate a QB throwing quick outs and screens in week 3. mjt328 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago The Bills are capable of winning a Super Bowl with this roster. Just like they have been each of the last 4-5 seasons. So by definition, this defense is championship caliber. But yes, I agree it seems to have the exact same problems and doesn't seem to have improved even the slightest from last year. Still too inconsistent at stopping the run. Too many missed tackles. Third downs are always a disaster, either because of a lack of pressure or the secondary giving way too much space off the line of scrimmage. Lots of fans like to blame Brandon Beane for the roster. But when you are constantly drafting/signing different players every year, and the results are exactly the same over and over... that points more towards the coaching staff. 2 1 Quote
