We tend to play with 3 safetys so there would be another safety for The other TE.

That’ll be interesting against the run. I think both teams wanna be physical.

Ricard doesn't run routes he probably has less than 20 rec in a 8 year career.  Not having Ricard will force teams to play us more honest.   The rule of thumb around the league is Ricard will take you to the ball.  With him being out we shall see.

He’s got 44 in 6 years as a full time FB. It’s less than I thought. I must’ve mixed him up with ingold. Is worth noting that’s 4 times as many rushes as he has during the same time. Does have almost 90 passer rating when throwing to him. So respectable there too. Pretty funny variance as a receiver. On 64 targets he has 7 TDs and 3 INt.

Josh, Tua, amd Lamar all have something in common.  They never reached a SB.

He and Josh has the same number of SB appearances.

And Lamar is universally thought of as a playoff choke artist while Josh is universally thought as an all time playoff QB that plays for a team that doesn’t give him enough support that can’t beat one team- one QB- one HC.

You can't help but bring up other QBs when talking and defending Lamar Jackson. Even the leagues best player and MVP is living rent free in your head.

Every Baltimore fan has a 3" confidence. They're the first to bring up anyone else. Ray Lewis killed a man and they'll bring up OJ or Rae Carruth. the whole city is actually gross. Not until you get outside of it do you stand a chance for decent humanity.  About 200 miles out of it.

I thought this was a message board.  I haven't called anyone names but I've neen called names.  I haven't said a bad thing about any member of the Bills but I've had names called at the Ravens and specifically Lamar.  I see you guys don't want to talk ball with anyone other then those that share your same opinion.  This will be my last post.  Good luck Sunday.

Please respond in THIS thread as to not clutter our weekly game thread with this nonsense.

Yes-  This is a message board and you were kindly asked to take this Lamar vs Allen debate to another thread.  This thread was then made specifically so you wouldn’t clutter our game thread.  I even quoted you in THIS thread within the last hour with hopes that you would be a civil person and converse here, yet you moved the conversation back to the game thread by moving my quote.  Your actions speak as if you’re 12 and are clearly trolling at this point.

And this is all I'm saying.  If Lamar's  a choker because he hasn't won it all when they both have run u0 against the same team and had the exact same outcome then what are you really saying about your own QB.

He’s a choker because he sucks in season ending losses and his turnovers play instrumental roles in their seasons ending.

Josh isn’t a choker because he doesn’t choke.

The problem here is obvious.  You don’t understand what choking actually is.  Here you go: AI can help you out:

In sports, choking is a sudden and significant decline in performance under pressure, where an athlete fails to meet their expected standards or goals, despite having the skills and desire to perform well. This typically occurs in high-pressure situations and is often caused by heightened anxiety that leads to overthinking, impaired focus, and a deviation from instinctual, fluid movements.”

AI has some more info for you:

Lamar Jackson attributed his past playoff struggles to "being too antsy" and "too excited," leading him to overthink plays rather than letting them unfold naturally. After a tough playoff loss in January 2025, he said he was too excited and saw things before they happened

Not winning Super Bowl doesn’t equate to choking.

I live down here in Baltimore and none of them are worried about the game against the Bills.  They all expect to win.  Some fans called in to say they are making t-shirts to go to the game that say "City of Losers" and has reference to the 4 SB losses.

I don't know if it's the Josh MVP or what, but they act like that ex-gf who says they don't care anymore, but can't stop talking about us.

I expect Baltimore fans to be more visibly and audibly present Sunday night than Bills fans care to admit. Anticipating increased ST resales this year (to recoup for looming PSLs and to simply capitalize on market value in last year of venue and a marketable matchup). HATE that approach to being a STH, but can't completely blame someone for doing it.

The AFCN and NFCN fanbases travel. We'll see it and hear it Sunday night.

Once again all time playoff QBs usually at least goes to the SB.  Josh and Lamar has the exact amount of SB appearances.

Warren Moon is an all-time quarterback

And he never went to a super bowl my friend .. Dan Marino is better than Patrick mahomes and he went to one super bowl

John elway didn't win one till he was on his last leg

As someone who's been around this game for 30 plus years as a player coach and scout I can unequivocally say it takes luck as well as coaching and talent to win an even go to a super bowl

The Buffalo Bills lost by three in Arrowhead last year without our two best secondary players.. and the worst spots I've ever seen in NFL officiating crew make... The NFL was sick about  everybody saying how the Chiefs always get the flags and The crucial moment... So they held their flags and just moved the ball back 2-3 ft from the spot three or four times during the game in big moments

High School refs aren't even that inept

Josh Allen converted a clear quarterback sneak that they moved back half a yard and gave the Chiefs the ball back in their home field and we still lost by a field goal without our two best defensive backs

When we played the Chiefs years ago without their two best defensive backs they made Gabe Davis look like Jerry Rice

"Usually."

Since we're just going to set arbitrary rules, then I guess Joe Burrow is better than Lamar & Allen because at least he made it to a Super Bowl?

The problem is these guys all play in the same conference. Brock Purdy & Jimmy G made it to a Super Bowl, yet I wouldn't call them great players. If Allen or Lamar were in the NFC, they'd have made the SB by now.

So what other metrics can you use other than "they both haven't made a SB?"

How boring.

Kids in a sandbox arguing about who's dad is the strongest". Unless your dad is an absolute d*ickh*ad, you will support him and you are biased.

Same goes for QBs...

Who cares who did what when?

Move on to what matters: Sunday!

Again- you fail to understand what the term choke means, as you ignore 90% of my post and cherry pick one part you can try and make an argument against (unsuccessfully)

The narrative that Lamar is a choke artist in the playoffs has become his narrative because he has earned it by playing poorly in season ending losses year after year.

I was at this one. This was one crazy night at Giants Stadium. The famous pumpkin game.

4. Oct. 17, 1988 — Bills 37, Jets 14

The “Pumpkin Game” featured 41 incidents of improper behavior in the stands, 15 arrests and 56 ejections. Fans burned complimentary paper hats in the stands and batted around an inflated pumpkin. This game led to the stadium halting beer sales after halftime during night games.

I was at this game.  was sitting in endzone seats, maybe 10 rows up, got absolutely clocked in the head with a full beer can that someone had thrown from above.  My father was like that's it, we're done, and we left.

Kyle Hamilton allows us to do that because he can play LB also.  Jes truly a unicorn.  He's been voted tue best deep safety, the best box safety,  the best blitzing safety.  He truly can do it all.

watch out, ravens fans will compare their qb to your dad now.

but, yes, most fans will cheer whoever their team takes at qb. but, honestly, i don't think i'd be a fan of Jackson. i liked fitz and taylor. i did not like manuel, bledsoe, collins, and many of the last few years.

i can without a doubt narrow it down to something like... (based on how i think of them and not just by play)

i would like our QB if: tua, prescott, murray, love, burrow, flacco, young, geno smiffff, daniel jones, mayfield, darnold, purdy

i would not like QB if: mahomes, jackson, fields, mccarthy, wilson, rodgers, lawrence

i'm not sure on: hurts, maye, caleb williams, stroud, daniels, ward.

the 2nd closest i have ever been in an away game fight was in baltimore the season oopener 6-7 years ago. maybe 8.

some old drunk dude kept hrassing me and i largely ignored him but he wouldn't let up. i didn't respond but if his wife hadn't taken him home he would have continued to escalate it.

NJ and Cincinnati were the only places I’ve been close to getting into a fight. Hamlin incident ending the game is the only reason we didn’t. The people of Cincinnati were just terrible the entire day. Tried to start fights everywhere we went, the mall, restaurants, parking garage, in traffic on the highway. In the stadium before the game, while Hamlin was down, and leaving the game. The comments from their fans about laying Hamlin out were disgusting.

You are expect some trash talk at away stadiums and a few that take it too far but everyone took it too far. My friend from Cincinnati was shocked at how hostile the people were.

Not being sure about Hurts at this point is kind of strange
