Fantasy Football - Draft Discussion Only

Hey all.  I thought it would be cool to have a fantasy football thread on the main board.  The FF sub-forum doesn’t seem to get a lot of traffic.  I reached out to @Simon and while not a traditional practice here at TBD, he kindly agreed to pin a thread for about a week or so.  Maybe another one around the trade deadline depending upon how this goes.
 

As many people are holding their drafts this weekend, this seemed like a good time.  Please feel free to post your roster for evaluation, discuss your “sleeper” players, draft strategy and anything else FF draft related.

 

This is from my son’s league which drafted on Monday.  Eight team re-draft league.  One point PPR.  I picked 4th.

RB: Jahmyr Gibbs

RB: De’Von Achane

WR: CeeDee Lamb

WR: Tyreek Hill

Flex: Jaxon Smith-Njigba

TE: TJ Hockenson

D/ST: Bills

K: Tyler Bass

 

Bench: Caleb Williams, Tony Pollard, Calvin Ridley, Emeka Egbuka, Kyle Pitts, Kaleb Johnson, and Jacory Croskey-Merritt.

 

Thoughts?  I’m trying to think of someone to drop so I can pick up another defense/ST.  I released Jacoby Meyers to add Egbuka, and Pacheco to pick up Croskey-Merritt.

That’s an awesome roster.  I’m assuming not many teams in your league?

So I assume Gibbs was your first pick? I draft on Tuesday. 12 team redraft league with a half point PPR. (Old school commish fought 1 point ppr, so we compromised).
 

I have the #4 pick and figure it will go Chase, Bijan, Jefferson and then I will go either Gibbs or Lamb, depending on my mood.
 

Not sure how you got Lamb and Gibbs. Kudos to you.

Only 8.  It’s my son’s league, so they don’t know what they’re doing and draft like crap.  I got Gibbs with my second round pick.  😂

Lamb in the 1st.  Gibbs in the 2nd.  Three QBs went in the first round.

Great team, I always feel those 8 man leagues end up with stacked lineups. 
Always been a fan of 12 team leagues for that reason, to each their own though.

Never heard of a guillotine league.  Seems like a fun idea.  This is a free league run by my son.  My regular league in a 10 team league and the draft is on Sunday.

 

I love Tyler Warren.  I think he could have a Brock Bowers type season with the Colts.

 

What are you going to do with Joe Mixon?  Sounds likely that he may miss the season.  Also Rashee Rice?  Can you stash him on IR with his suspension?  Also love Colston Loveland in that Ben Johnson offense.  I think Caleb Williams, Loveland, Swift, DJ Moore, and even Luther Burder could have big years.

Looks like Egbuka is going to start the season as WR2 with all the uncertainty around Godwin.  In that offense he should be a target machine operating out of the slot for Baker Mayfield.  Definitely WR2 potential.

All over it.  Just waiting a day or two to see if any word comes out about Bass.  I initially drafted Jason Sanders, but he went down.  Got my eyes on the 70 yard kid, Cam Little.
