Go back and check the last score against the Dolphins.  Patriots don't have the horses. I agree 2 in the division and another in the season but barring injuries  4 loses tops.

Do you use a quart of lotion a day? I feel bad for your ravens plushy.

So, to your weak point. ... Going back 2 years the ravens beat by a lot. But the dolphins can beat the Ravens when they're a better team and this has happened.

The Ravens implode some. 5 losses is likely the best for them. Burrough is going to come out swinging against defenses. Cleveland has a defense that can disrupt the Ravens flow. The Steelers are weird. The Chiefs own you. The Lions have the talent and it'll be early before they're injured.

Either way, God it must suck to always do so well when it doesn't matter than go home so early in January...every. Damn.  Year. Womp womp womp. Sorry crowboy

So we just elevated that new Safety we picked up who's a special teams ace.

Wonder if we'll actually go into this game with 4 DTs, half being rookies.

My guess is that Zion Logue will be a call up from the P/S.

Will be interesting to see who doesn't dress at safety --- My guess would be Hancock.

Here are Derrick Henry's games vs the Bills.  We have had success stopping him.  He's had two monster games and 4 sub par games.

Playoff game was 16 for 84 which is a decent game but not a monster game.

The pass defense is the concern in this game.

The game last year was a fluke. He broke a long run. That changed the entire game.

Ok bro 👍

Saying the Bills are hopeless in this game is delusional

And we have zero reason to believe that both White and Benford are missing this game

Definitely not hopeless. The Bills are at home,  have a healthy Allen, and a great oline. Of course, the Bills can win.

Looking at all the circumstances, I'd put the Bills winning the game at about 40%.

If players play, they’re ready to go.

Absolute NONSENSE.

Benford, for example, had NO BUSINESS stepping foot on that field in KC. That’s why he was nearly knocked out after one hit.

Its also why players have continuous lingering  injuries, because they’re not fully healed before coming back.

The only times we've had success stopping Henry is when they had zero success passing. If we stack the box & sell out to stop the run, there's a chance we can slow him down. But Lamar isn't Ryan Tannehill... he can sling it, or he can just keep it himself.

Just like in our playoff game against the Chiefs, had the Ravens continued feeding Henry, they'd probably have been better off (as we would've had we kept Cook involved). But given our injuries + playing nickel D 89% of the time on 1st & 2nd down, it's going to be very difficult to keep him in check AND stopping the big pass plays.

The Bills stacked the box to stop Henry. They can't run their regular front and be successful. They are too light in the ass. Rookies have learning curves and I don't expect Walker or Sanders to have a high impact on stopping the run.

Yes the Bills secondary is a mess. An improved Lamar should be able to exploit the Bills weaknesses. They can beat the Bills several different ways. That's way their path to victory is pretty big.

We will see how it plays out.

Come on.  Everyone stacks the box against Henry and you're criticizing the Bills for it.

Could we go into the game with two kickers playing? Prater to do kickoffs and pat? I'd be ok w that.

Prater to p/s --- insurance policy

Putting defenders in the box against Henry and the Ravens gets the box stuffed and the ravens crush it. You can't fill the box up because the Ravens OL makes big lanes from the chaos and Henry can break the arm tacklea of DL. We are better off running a Big nickel which is why I liked signing Peppers.

Bringing someone from the middle or the field to bring Henry down is critical

Bringing up Franklin might make Shavers inactive which means Samuel and Coleman are healthy?

As far as strategy goes for the FO we are a big flummoxed here. Bringing up Phillips fully guarantees his $. Any vested veteran will be locked for yearly salary if brought up week 1

That's why I'm not against Franklin and either Dane Jackson (if we have questions of health at CB) or Phillips (if we are concerned with 2 of 4 being rookies on the interior).

I'd be shocked on the 1st comment, about two kickers being active.  In my mind, 0% chance that happens.

We have up to 2 P/S promotions Sunday:

1. DT: this all but a guarantee that 1 of Zion or Jordan is promoted --- Zion IMO

2. CB: if Tre is able to play, nobody is getting called up.  But if hes unable, I could see Dane getting promoted

3. K: Bass is either ready or not.

So if Tre and Bass both unable to go, it will be interesting to see what they do.

Biggest issue I have with this, and it’s not you saying it.. is people who glaze the Ravens Defense because of Starks addition, yet our high pick and a guy who slid due to injury that he seems better now from are going to be liabilities.

It’s the whole “our guys are question marks but there’s are not” vibe.

If they want to play single high with Starks, we should absolutely take shots downfield on them until we force Hamilton back to split high safeties.

We dont play a straight single high.  They love to live in Big Nickel.  They'll have 6 DBs (normally 3 safety) which allows Kyle to be moved around.  Kyle is a unicorn and does everything exceptionally well.   Crazy as it sounds Starks has a similar skillset and the talk is they'll be deployed the same way in hopes of giving the QB trouble finding who's deep and who's not.

Zion makes a lot of sense business wise. He's not guaranteed seasons pay.

And I don't see a need if White is good to go; hence, why not an extra kicker.

Reading these last few pages it sounds like the Bills are garbage and the Ravens are pre-ordained SB champions.

What the hell is going on?!

This is a fun week 1 match up. Exciting way to start the year, but a lot of pressure while both sides iron out early season wrinkles.

For the Bills, the inability to lock down the secondary, the second boundary corner and other safety in particular, is a major concer for me against the Ravens. Much less so than any other team. We have relied heavily on on Taron and Poyer to help in the run game. Not a whole lot of margin for error for our undersized LB's and understaffed secondary.

This is the Ravens first real football game since losing in the Ralph 8 months ago. Baltimore adding an extra chip on their shoulder doesn't make me feel great either.

I think the Bills can for sure win this game. But a number of things make me uncomfortable.

Ravens don't seem to be paying attention to the bills RBs. Sure, you know Cook. I don't know that he will see 100 ground yards but could see 100 all purpose. Ray Davis and Ty Johnson, the third down back, are other players.

Johnson can catch exceptionally well. Between him and Shakir underneath the Bills don't need deep. Let Palmer and Samuel run down field. Let Coleman do whatever he is capable of doing.

Regardless, the Ravens think they only need to be concerned about the Bills passing. The Bills didn't win games passing last year.

The Bills on the ground is going to matter. We also have the league MVP. His name ain't Jackson. He's the best in the league and we have him.

Strong looked like NFL was a step up too far in preseason. Had real trouble dealing with NFL WR's quickness and suddenness in and out of breaks. Maybe not overwhelmed like Codrington or Jackson but certainly whelmed.

He did not look great in the preseason, I agree.  At least he has a lot more size than little Codrington to play CB.

Give it up homie. You have Lame Mar at QB. About as scary as Tua in Miami. Both have proved that they are exciting but can't win when they need to. Full stop.

Bills have a real TEAM. Ravens are all flash and hope. Harbaugh needs to go too. As long as you have Lame Mar you are nothing but reg season fodder.

Bills win this one. We are a better team all around. Won't even be close.
