no one has any faith in Trubisky

Except me I guess. If Wonder Boy were to get injured for a 4 game stretch I think Mitch could get us a couple of wins and keep us in it until Wondered Boy comes back.  I have Much more confidence for that than in White or Buechele.

Same reason you didn't see Cook, Davis and Ty.  They know what they can do and their place is set on the roster.  This last game is really only for a handful of fringe players and the experience for younger players.  They probably knew everything they needed after the first preseason game.

To play devil's advocate, I believe among NFL QBs that some are realists/pragmatists who accept that they're highly unlikely to ever start an NFL game but are quite willing to carry the clipboard for millions of dollars.

Also, some QBs who do aspire to become starters might be very interested in "learning at the knee" of a great master like Josh Allen and being in a winning organization like the Bills.

I agree with the first part that some guys are willing to accept that they’re a valuable NFL backup QB built for the meeting room, the show team and to finish a game, but not much more.

I do not agree about anyone being able to learn from Josh (or Lamar, Burrow, Mahomes, Etc) because he (they) do unnatural things on the gridiron. If you want to learn from a starter, it needs to be a more conventional starter like maybe a Geno, Goff or Darnold. Otherwise, hard to believe you can replicate what JA17 is capable of on the field.

Was our HC upset about what he saw from Mitch & Mike??  Did he do it to inspire the rest of the roster?

It was the 1st time, this pre-season, that the Bills offense looked in-sync and capable of NFL caliber play!

What are your thoughts??

Well just by the looks of the game because he's better than either of the other 2 QB's that will be second string, that's just my opinion which with that and a quarter you can get a piece of bubble gum at the corner store ...

He played the entire game because the QB position is locked up and he's #4 out of 3. They didn't want to risk losing Trubisky or even soon to be PS QB White to injury. Then again maybe White didn't play because they have a trade worked out for him.

Weren't Trubisky and Beuchele both at Josh' wedding, but not White ?

Trubisky was in the wedding party, he's very close with Josh so I really think he's gonna be the firm backup. I think largely the reason Beuchele played the whole game was so that they could get as much tape on him as possible to see who is gonna make the PS. Mike White has a lot of tape as he's started 7 games in the NFL and played in pre-season for various teams. Beuchele doesn't have as much film out there on an NFL level.

Fair enough.

How about the idea of being with a winning organization rather than a dysfunctional one?

Especially if you are realistic about your potential playing career being as a PS player. A lot of the fringe guys go into coaching, and nothing better than being around a developed and functional culture that wins. I bet guys like Davis Webb were in the coaching staff’s hip pocket as much as possible.

I’ve been in the wrong wedding parties.

The one good thing I got out of him playing the entire game, I now know how to pronounce his name.  Took me awhile during the game to figure out who they were even talking about.   Prior to this had it all wrong.

No sense in Mitch playing and your giving White some seniority by allowing other teams to make their decisions on him free of injury.  Buechele Needed the tape as well. Looks like it turned out ideal for everyone. Let’s question something else how
