The information coming out about Harvard and other institutions actions isn’t anything to be proud of, Andy, and they earned the rebuke. With luck they get a course correction, revisit institutional arrogance and move forward. If not, oh well. There are Republicans who live in cities, Andy. Read a book once in a while. The rest of that section of your post is emotional handwringing. What I can say is that most sensible people of all political stripes want safety, security and decent streets in exchange for the money they pay and contributions they make to the greater good. When you’re on the outside looking in, it’s easy to be outraged over someone trying to solve a problem that you’re comfortable with someone else dealing with. It’s actually the liberal way. I’m concerned, too. I’m concerned that violent agitators engage with citizen soldiers, as they do with rank and file and often overwhelmed law enforcement to foment violence, and when they do, people like you support them. I guess we’re all worried about something. Lehnerd - take a deep breath and chill my man. No need for emotional accusations as we discuss stupid politics. So you apparently believe that Donald wants to improve the quality of life for people in cities through his deployment of the military. Apparently he must be a stable genius since previous presidents never felt compelled to do the same. It’s not like violence in cities is a new thing. Of course everyone wants safety. It’s all about how it is done. If he truly cared about the issue, he could meet with city leaders to listen and hear what they need. 2
Tommy Callahan Posted August 14 Posted August 14 The facts are any reduction in violence in that city will directly have positively impact minorities, women and children that are the majority of the victims. And why the protesters are again a bunch of non diverse MSM parroting mob. Same as every pathetic and non organic protest. Dem logic. It's fine to have National Guardsmen be prison guards, but it's an attack on democracy to have National Guardsmen be police officers. 1 1

The problem is that blacks in particular have problems with second order consequences and American blacks have a particularly nasty form of narcissism which has been fed to them by the regime (including the fourth estate) for years. Even non-criminal blacks often show that they believe that blacks should not be held accountable for crimes they commit. Even if we accept that non-criminal blacks would benefit enormously from the criminal blacks being mass incarcerated, they can’t see past the initial pain point of losing many of their brothers/cousins and the blow to their community, as it were, that the optics of such a measure would create. 1 1

I think the distinction between those previous administrations and Trump is the city of Washington used to have a mayor, prosecutors, and law enforcement motivated to address crime. They acted in a professional manner, saw it as the job, and they did it to the best of their ability. Now Democrats have adopted a soft on crime policy approach in major cities, including Washington. Its not that they don't know how to address the problem, they just don't want to do anything about it. You see stories where some chronic criminal gets arrested assaulting some 80 year old walking down the street and its disclosed the guy was arrested 10 times in a year for the same crime and he's release on zero bail and the DA refuses to prosecute. On top of it, anyone that lifts a finger to defend themselves against thugs and on the loose mental patients received more scrutiny from the local DA then the low life that attacked them. How in the world do Democrats see this as a winning strategy? How can anyone be that stupid? Maybe its not stupidity but instead Rule Number One, anything Trump is for we need to be against regardless of all other factors. Now who's in a cult? Edited August 14 by All_Pro_Bills 2

Tariffs are taxes, and you love taxing the middle class. And spare me on China. Your guy coddles Russia, and makes all these empty threats to China that he never truly does anything about. I don't disagree about the safety point. But J6 was urban crime on a mass scale, and what do you do about it? Pardon them all. It's a joke, and MAGA has no standing to castigate others about that issue. The hypocrisy with MAGA is stunning. You keep talking about the tariffs as if they aren't a negotiating strategy. Lay off the MSNBC.
