I don't like the guy and do not want him anywhere near our team but if he was on the bills in 2024 he might have had 20 sacks.  The bills turned so many games into blowouts and forced teams to have to be aggressive and throw the ball to try and score in so many second halves  of those games.  

 

He would have at least created opportunities for the rest of the rushers.

 

I am not sure he helps the bills beat the chiefs, maybe he does.  A couple of pressure and sacks late in either of the last two chiefs playoff games might have been the difference...the thing is those are the plays he has never made in Dallas either.  The only playoff game where he looked like the same player as the regular season was the win over the 8-9 tampa team that had all kinds of issues on offense.

Regardless, Micah has zero leverage at this point. He'll be fined one game check (not negotiable) for not playing in games... and he could lose a year of service if he doesn't play in at least 6 regular season games.

 

At this point he's better off not acting out like a child... whatever he ultimately chooses to do.

 

If he were to take the high road at every juncture, more people would be sympathetic to him and he would incrementally gain leverage. If he acts like a baby, the reverse happens. In the current situation it would serve him best to be winning in the court of public opinion.

 

This is what I think  happens …. He re-signs with Dallas in the next week… Jerry squeezing every inch of publicity out of this , but even he has to realise the season is about to start

Come on with that crap.  Why not just assemble the top 22 guys in the league and have them be our starters?  We’d be mortgaging a lot giving up either the picks or contract required.  And you need to do both.  And the guy is a clown.  5 minutes after someone makes $1 more them him as inevitably happens in the league, he will be on to his next stunt.  People are comparing him to Reggie White.  Shirley.

It's all crap because this will never, NEVER happen. So save all your "mortgaging the future" logic because this doesnt get any farther than the fantasy. And in that case, I'd love to have him. You're taking it way too seriously.

That’s exactly the way I remember it. Just go straight at him and you have an advantage. 

 

NOW, that is NOT to say that he is not a great player and likely to have a bust in Canton one day. The two things can be true, he can be great but a bit of a liability against the run.  It’s not one thing or the other, it’s a whole bunch of different things blended together.

 Of course this is all fantasy. jerry is going do jerry and Micah is going to be wasted sitting on the Cowboys bench for at least another year.

 I was hoping McBeane were going to go all Von Miller this offseason , what with all the serious DE pass rushers on the market or potentially on the market

If it was me , I might have swung big in FA. Parson was not my favorite , but his age would make for a nice 5 year deal

I agree that Jerry is a clown but haven’t ever seen him laying on a table during a game.
