Mike in Horseheads Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Yes! Take dinner out of freezer, remove dinner from box, slit film. Microwave 5 minutes on high, let it sit 2 minutes.... ENJOY! 1 1 Quote

This requires some preparation as it was my go to for years going to games. One plastic half pint or one pint vodka, depending on seasonal attire, stashed on me, straight to concessions, order one large soda, hopefully with lots of ice, go straight to men’s room, wait for stall to be available, go in, uncover cup, save lid and straw, empty soda in toilet, pour vodka in cup, cover with lid, insert straw. Throw bottles out as leaving men’s room or if worried leave on back of toilet. Game on. 2 1 Quote
muppy Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Food and football do go hand in hand. But I'll be honest and say that for BIG games aka any regular season or post season I'm too nervous to really eat more than graze and snack. I'll make food but won't wait it if Im too nervous. I cook a LOT so whatever is on the menu for that game day can be Bills related sometimes. but not always. I make my wings in the air fryer with a couple different sauces BLUE CHEESE carrots and celery It's fun reading everyone elses traditions. Sandwiches are good. that's about all I've got Go Bills! 2 Quote
Buffalo Junction Posted August 3 Posted August 3 Yup. I roll a smoker year round, so all that’ll change is the day I start drinking at 6am. 😂 1 Quote

Do I step up and treat it as a "real" game and grill some GIANT hand formed fresh 1+ lb burgers and perhaps some GIANT turkey wings or do I take a less effort approach to slowly gear up for the Home Opener against the Ravens? What are your thoughts? Obviously, I am NOT going to attend the game since when I had Bills Seasons tickets 2 decades ago, I could NOT even give away the Pre-Season games. Yeah I understand the Family Game is great for the kids and it is always nice to become re-acquainted with my American friends but it was such a long way to go for a meaningless game. Much better to watch it at home carefully to evaluate the players. Clearly, the first ear splitting song this year for each backyard tailgate will be no doubt this neighbourhood favourite... When I used to be a part of them helping back in the day? YES. BTW!!! TY for the Ozzy Crazy Train Song. its so right it cant be wrong. 1 Quote

HIT BY SPIKES Posted August 4 Author Posted August 4 We are now 5 days away from the Giants pre-season game. I am sitting here with a fridge full of grilling leftovers from Saturday and Sunday -- Whole Un-split Asian Style Chicken Wings, Fresh Herb & Wine Chicken Thighs, Meaty Pork Back Ribs Sauced in Homemade BBQ Sauce and Korean BBQ Sliced Pork Loin -- all were marinated 2-3 days in advance in different marinates and to complete the trilogy of excess today I BBQ on the Big Green Egg the marinated in Worcester Sauce, Freshly Ground Green Peppercorn and Steak Spice Beef Short Ribs and Skinless Chicken Drumsticks in a TexMex marinated since Friday. I will no doubt freeze some since the Wife and Daughter have successfully synchronized their periods such that they are both suffering in such an expressive dramatic fashion that I feel like Jesus visiting a Monthly Menstrual Leper Colony thus they ate very little all weekend. Nonetheless, I have food for the whole week leading up to the game. I took delivery on Friday of a new outdoor deep fryer that hooks up a 20 lb propane tank I never use stored in the barn and I think all I am going to for the game is test that bad boy out for the first time with some traditional Buffalo Style Chicken Wings with celery, carrots and Blue Cheese Dip. 1 Quote

As far as dinner, Pre season doesn’t matter to me. I only casually watch a bit, and I believe this week is on national tv, so that’s fine. Often, they don’t air in Tampa the Bills preseason games. BigAl2526 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 Of course! Which is to say 'none, 'cause,' I don't put any extra effort during the season. Usually at least. Because it is an evening game, I might buy a couple crab cakes for the Baltimore game. Quote
HIT BY SPIKES Posted August 9 Author Posted August 9 Went with freshly made this morning Vietnamese Fish Noodle Soup with Shrimp Dumplings. Just picked Thai Chillies and Herbs from the garden. Got a good healthy sweat going on which I intend to wash down with Canada Dry Ginger Ale & Rye Whiskey. Quote
BillnutinHouston Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Yes I do the same for preseason as regular season - nothing. Quote
