May Day 10 Posted July 29 Posted July 29 He was one of my favorites as a kid of the 80s. I remember one of my favorite shirts was a caricature of him with his baseball card stats on the back. Quote
Ned Flanders Posted July 29 Posted July 29 The "Sandberg Game" remains one of the best regular season games of all time...I was watching with two Cardinal fans who were going absolute bonkers after his HRs. 1 Quote
Gregg Posted July 29 Posted July 29 I know Ernie Banks is known as Mr. Cub, but I would also include Ryne Sandberg. He meant as much to that organization as anyone who ever played for them. 2 Quote

What a player. I tried to copy his batting stance growing up. I played against Bruce Sutters kid in High School. I went to their house once and the one thing I will never forget is he had a 8 foot grizzly bear stuffed in his living room. Bruce was a big game hunter. 2 Quote
