And I would argue Spencer Brown, but it's hard for linemen to get noticed. 2 hours ago, MJS said: There will be multiple CBs on the list that Benford is just better than. He is better than Jalen Ramsey and Cooper Dejean, in my opinion, and they are listed. Benford isn't flashy enough to make this kind of list. He's a Zone Corner that doesn't get many picks. Great cover guy, but being a great cover guy isn't going to make a list like this. This is a part performance based, part big plays, part popularity list. We know as Bills fans Benford is great at what he does. But he just doesn't get enough attention for what he does because he doesn't get picks, pick 6's, and doesn't play man to man. The second that both 2nd Team All Pro CB's in Trent McDuffie and Christian Gonzalez came in at #81 and #84 respectively - I knew there was no way Benford was going to show up on the list above them. Agent 47 will continue to be an under the radar, unsung hero until he strings together flash highlights. And honestly, I kind of like that he flies under the radar. Buffalo716 Posted August 9 Posted August 9 Dion is the epitome of Buffalo And I have a feeling he's never going to leave the area because after all this time it's where he's turned into a man 1 Quote
JerseyBills Posted August 9 Posted August 9 (edited) Dions peers seem to really respect him, it's incredible how he can play so wide out like that, pretty sure he's 1 of the only LT that does that , glad he's getting his well deserved shine... He has that Jersey Swag too!!! Also, Samuel looked good on those 2 throws, but bro has to be healthy , he can be such a weapon 🤞 Edited August 9 by JerseyBills Quote

He has the same amount of picks last year and more forced fumbles as other corners already on the top 100 list. And he is just as good of a man corner as he is a zone corner. His coverage grades show he is great at both. He's also one of the best tacklers on the team. He is an elite corner. Quote

Most tackles are trying to play as far back as they can to get an advantage. Just insane how good he was last year. 1 Quote

The funny thing is I visit Wiki daily and even give them a donation... and yet I never thought that there would be a Wiki article for something that isn't even completed yet. For those like me who didn't know, the Top 10 players won't be announced until September 1st. Also included in the Wiki article is a simple spreadsheet which tells you who, from what team was ranked where... and which and how many players from each team made it. The spreadsheet also tells you if and when that player was ranked in 2024. There's also a direct link to the previous (and following) year's rankings. So last year only Josh (12) and Dion (96) made the Top 100. Dion went all the way up to 42. I wonder what the biggest jump in the history of the rankings is? 3 hours ago, Buffalo716 said: He had the widest average split for a left tackle last year in the last 15 years I'm not doubting you at all but how do you know this? In answer to this question, AI says that Lamar Jackson was unranked in 2019 and ranked number 1 in 2020. That's the biggest jump possible. Just skimming through, 3 teams had 4 players make it in 2024... the Rams, the Eagles, and the Bucs. Quote

I'll try to find one for you.. I think it was actually 2015-2016 so a decade not 15 years trying to be correct 1 Quote
GunnerBill Posted August 9 Posted August 9 I think I predicted Josh, Dion and Jimbo. Top 100 is part performance and part profile. 1 Quote

But what he doesn't have is the accolades of All-Pro that McDuffie and Gonzalez have. Or the long term fame of Jalen Ramsey. Or the kind of attention that Pick 6'ing Mahomes in a Super Bowl victory brought Cooper DeJean. This isn't a PFF strictly performance based list. This is a player voted Top 100 of 1,696 players (53 man roster x 32 teams) popularity contest. We know Benford's great. But you'd be hard pressed to find anyone outside of Bills fans and analytics nerds (and again, this isn't that kind of list) that would put Benford in the Top 100. It also doesn't help that he went down with Concussions on the biggest stages for us last year. Maybe if that didn't happen and he made big time plays then, things would have been different for both the team and his chances to make the list. Edited August 9 by BillsFanForever19 Quote

HappyDays Posted September 2 Author Posted September 2 Saquon Barkley is going to be the #1 player... Ranked 86th on the 2024 list. Quote

Oh well, the 4 elite QBs are ranked that closely for a reason. Basically comes down to personal preference. I actually think it's the most hilarious outcome that Barkley comes in #1. Ranked 86th when he was behind the Giants OL before miraculously catapulting to the top of the list. There's not exactly a ton of thought put into these rankings. It's a ranking more of respect than of ability. 1 1 1 2 Quote
