If you are watching, keep an eye on the Michigan QB as a backup for Josh. Mobile, big arm.

Watched quite a bit of Perkins when he played at Virginia.  He'll get another shot at the NFL.

I’ll take your word for it that there have been ‘good games’. My comment is on the fact that from what I’ve seen there are next to no fans actually going to the stadiums to see them. And that’s despite the fact that the league isn’t new and has a complete monopoly on network television football coverage for the entirety of spring. I’m not sure when someone decides that this simply isn’t working.

Agreed. Time to give up on the minor league off-season football concept.

I've always said the only way it works is if the teams are affiliated with NFL teams. The Syracuse Bills or something stupid like that, functioning as a kind of football AAA or NBA G League - some players on a two-way contract, some ringers. That gets me interested in seeing what kind of talent my team has at the minor league level. But there's a whole host of reasons why that model doesn't work, with the CBA being the prime one.

I can’t name one player in that league and I’d prefer to keep it that way.

Birmingham has WR Deon Cain, who was on the Bills practice squad last season.

while that is technically true

I liken the college game to the best amateurs.. not the worst professionals

Even these college kids getting paid is going from best amateur to worst professional kind of... Sure they deserve compensation

Some kids are getting paid more than professionals

Ohio State, Georgia, Michigan, etc would destroy any of these teams.

I mean everybody in the UFL was a college football player

Most were respectively obviously starters and or campus star players

And there's plenty of players from Ohio State Georgia and Michigan on those teams

Michigan has a 120 kids.. 15 went to the NFL , and most of them will not have long time careers

it will obviously be closer than an NFL versus a college football game.. but I don't think it would be a blowout I think it'd be close

Again the differences Michigan is the best amateurs in the world these are the worst professionals

I can tell you whoever wins this second game between st Louis and DC, will ultimately win the championship game. These teams have way more fire than Michigan

I find it absolutely fascinating that you know that.

I've watched a total of about a quarter between the two games and it's not hard to tell

positively ridiculous. The worst UFL team would blow out Ohio State. Most college teams are made up of 95% future salesman. At least these guys are playing pro ball.

These college teams have massive facilities, unrestricted budgets and support systems.  The coaching is far better.  The QBs in the UFL are awful.
