stevestojan Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago (edited) Let the man have the $400 million “non-gift” (since the righties will spin this even after the orange blob said himself it’s a gift*) but be sure to only buy your daughters two dolls this year; not 30. That would just be wasteful and once all the manufacturing jobs are back here in the US, and your daughter is 45, THEN you can buy her the other 28 dolls. Suck it up, you lefty pansies. *From your infallible orange deity: "I think it's a great gesture from Qatar. Appreciate it very much. I would never be one to turn down that kind of an offer. I mean, I could be a stupid person and say, 'No, we don't want a free, very expensive airplane.' But it was, I thought it was a great gesture. I think it was a gesture because of the fact that we help, have helped, and continue to, we will continue to all of those countries, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and others.” Edited 23 hours ago by stevestojan 1

Raise your hand if you are good with this. These are the kind of people that trump is trying to expel from Harvard. I’m afraid to say this, but I think I stand with the MAGA cultists on this one specific issue… No doubt, this is a flagrant example of government bribery and is unconstitutional. However, what is fundamentally the difference between this bribe and the AIPAC bribes (i.e. large campaign donations) that the rest of our country’s politicians routinely accept?? I’m thinking more pragmatically and cynically, with starving Gazans and Israeli hostages in mind. By accepting Qatar’s airplane gift, the hope is that Trump can be persuaded to directly negotiate with Hamas (thereby circumventing Netanyahu) and arrange a ceasefire peace deal that would include immediate food aid and the full release of hostages. Negotiating with terrorists may not lead to anything, either, but we know now that Israel has ZERO intentions of ending the current siege in Gaza. Their full intentions are to steal the land in Gaza, steal land in the West Bank, break the will of Palestinians, and fatigue the region to the point that nearby Arab countries finally relent and agree to accept Palestinian refugees. 1

So you are all for suspending the constitution? And you are not with Maga, they have not thought this out to this degree. You would need to draw a picture book for them to explain where you are coming from. I think they can deal with Israel and Gaza without taking a bribe. Edited 14 minutes ago by 4th&long

Tell us: what is false? Trump himself confirmed it. Stop jumping on pro-Trump Twitter talking points. The "denial" seemed very plausible ... for about 10 minutes.

Taking a foreign gift from a government feudal kingdom that serves as the home away from home for Hamas, and that is currently engaged in dealmaking with the Trump family. Yeah, that title is really off base.
US Egg Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Foreign countries gave Bill Clinton mega millions for his Presidential library. They surely didn’t do it for favors received or that it get them favor down the road with say…..Hillary? 🤷♂️ Edited 1 hour ago by US Egg
sherpa Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'll get skewered but Oh well. This is much ado about nothing. We don't "need" another AF1, as suggested in another post. It would take a long time to modify the 747 to suit the need. Who cares? If they want to donate it, so what?
